    This is the one addendum...Subaru, and a few other brands, who (though they still should be audible) actually keep it large & visible almost inside. I'm used to these now after 24k miles of driving...but still unsure why it is the one and only feature that has NO audible anything, regardless of what's happening. Everything else beeps...except blind spot. For blind spot to be most effective, it being mounted INSIDE, a-la Subaru, Audi, Infiniti/Nissan, Acura, etc. is best of all...but add a BEEP too. Hyundai Kia's sounds spot on, even being mirror based. Good move.

    It's not going off...it lights up if someone is there, and if you still signal (i.e. you're signalling but there's not space to change lanes safely), it chimes. A tiny amber light you can barely see unless staring at the tiny corner of a mirror does nothing, and avoids the point of what blind spot is meant for. Great shot. Buttons...are GREAT. As anyone who's gotten used to a "it's somewhere in the touchscreen..." car lately, buttons remain underrated. Nice shot. How's the current Hyundai H-Trac system in snow or road going? Front to back, side to side, or anything? Right? Who knew...;) Competition and choices are GREAT things. Nice move, Hyundai Kia.

    Until you've actually experienced a real blind spot system, you wouldn't understand. A tiny, barely visible light amber colored spec that blends in and you have to stare at the far corner of the mirror to see it, then does no other alert, avoids the purpose. Driving requires mirrors. But blind spots happen and an actually visible/audible alert helps, without making a sound unless you're doing something you shouldn't be. Was a top complaint from our 2016 Traverse for years, and rentals I've driven from some brands.

    Hey guys, look, it's an article and questions about the Palisade... How about focusing on the Palisade and staying there? After watching the driving review of this above on YouTube, definitely get it. Quick, quiet, smooth, effortless, features all over, and that shifter & console is actually well done. Really like the wide screen with CarPlay as well. Makes many other choices in these classes seem plebian and 3rd world. Competition is GREAT. Great choice. The pricing on these is truly impressive, and I'm glad Hyundai/Kia realized that, and continue to have both demand and "I'll pay MSRP, as even that's a great deal" from the public.

    Good to know. It's highly bizarre and strange that GM, Ford, etc. think blind spot monitoring should consist of tiny, barely visible amber dots, that do nothing...and make no alert. Yet, other normal brands are visible and if on, and you still signal "beep beep beep" as they should, to prevent side issues. My Hyundai rentals have all been lower end without many options so I've never tried them... Thanks.

    And there you have it...precisely. Great real review. While everyone here continues to talk in circles about "stolen styling cues", they miss the point...these utes out-Enclave the Enclave. One of many examples. Credit where its due. Such a competitive 7 seater market. All the better for every buyer, as long as they keep brand blinders off, and just try everything. "I'm better...no you're not...yes I am" segment worth test driving all. Question...I've forgotten from my travels, and rentals. Does Hyundai/Kia side blind spot alert actually beep? On, and you signal, beep that is. Still baffling why that's so different brand to brand.

    SOOOO agreed. Moral of the story, do every detail right, market it, show it, let people experience it, and keep the price point to a "wow, really?" point that keeps the demand up. Palisade and Telluride right now continue to get converts from "higher" brands right now, and with demand, after a test drive, many continue to pay MSRP without blinking. Not "wait, an Enclave is $63k? Huh?" If only other brands could keep that picture going... These are good. I like parts of both. The polish of the Palisade more, but the look, the less bubble gone bubble on a bubble front end, and actual gear shifter of the Telluride. BUT, like the option packaging of the Palisade more.

    Those look GREAT on there...way better than the base/silver/etc. normal Regal wheels on the hatch. Wagon is a looker.

    GREAT review, and a favorite in this class. It oozes upmarket, well polished, comfortable, refined, "I just enjoy driving this everyday" that makes Mazda great. Favorite of friends, and referred often. Even the normal non turbo models in Touring trim level, etc. with leatherette, full & same safety, etc. with a $30k sticker...just make an Equinox/Terrain/Escape/CR-V/etc. seem that much more plebian. Nice ride & well baked.

    The seats in this new gen are so flat and narrow...I never expected the word "bolsters" to even make an appearance, outside of the GS seats. They never impressed me vs. something like the complete wrap around bolsters on bolsters of my 2012 GS that I loved. Seats are most important though. Hope you adjust.

    Great review. Good to know they've improved the infotainment further, as previous iterations have been clunky, and CUE (great reference) was horrendous. Lovin' the wagon. You may see this too. On Friday, I was still in my Forester. Then switched to the preproduction 2020 Outback...much more refined, and more space. Went to buy furniture this morning, and 2 tables, a new chair, and other items, no sweat. Just a bit lower ingress...but that length makes much difference. Happy wagon'ing;) We work with a store that is Subaru and Buick/GMC...good reference point. Used to endlessly lease last gen Regals, etc. Now, "the new one. No. We never have many, and there's no programs. A lease on a Sportback can be $600-650+...no kidding". All the more reason find a heavily depreciated CPO, exec car, etc. and check the buy options like you did.

    Awesome car, and color. It is a shame the features packaging is so horrendously poor, with scratchy black cloth and plastic steering wheel on most, but it's a mix of Euro, etc. See these on road in certain markets, and love them. It's a tough sell, as it's one of those you can't lease it cars due to the lack of any program, so you either know to find a buy deal like you did, or skip it all together. Great choice. Low seating position aside... I just switched from a 2019 Forester to a 2020 Outback, and am enjoying the lower seating position, even though I never do typically. All depends on the car, the armrests, the floor, the seats, etc. But it's bizarre at first to not see over as much stuff, traffic lights, etc. Adjustment. And the TourX and Outback have so much MORE space than certain small utes, it's also nice to open the back tailgate and not wonder what will fit. Cool choice! So... How is yours equipped? Cloth? Leather? What options? What was the original sticker?

    These sell well and are everywhere. Essentially a hatch version of what would be a Corolla. Even goes to show, as a "ute", despite no AWD option, real buyers don't care. FWD, hatch to open and carry slightly more stuff with, interesting looks...drivetrain..."I don't care. It's a Toyota. Thanks." Good mix. Again, see them everywhere. That's good for Toyota.

    "Has the overall Ford 'cobbled together' feel.....Fords are getting more and more like that all the time it seems...." GREAT point. I know what you mean, lately. It's not just the interior plastics...it's not just the build...it's an overall "this is kinda like a piece meal, spare parts protoype" feel. Last F-150 XLT rental I was in was quiet, but rode terribly, had pieces coming apart like the interior pillars not fitting & falling off. Plebian & the antithesis of convincing. Mustang I had was incredible...unless seats or interior comfort are important to you. Awful seating...and those Ford Sync radios...dot matrix white & gray coding vibe. Edge...great deal, and still popular. But not the freshest. Seems like the most common buy lately is an SEL 2.0T or a Titanum. Nice looking, strong incentives, good size, tons of safety features, just not "oh wow, I like" in feel. Nice review. Seeing more & more Nautilus's on road too.

    Never used Adaptive until 28k? Ha! Daily...everyday...use it. Love it. And the Pacifica and Pentastar 3.6L...smooth, creamy, powerful efficiency... Electronics, safety features, infotainment, etc. are so much better integrated in FCA vehicles vs. GM. Blind spot that's useful, visible and audible, great gauges, UConnect...

    Spent the week in Rochester, NY. Was the first place I've seen these in any kind of couple a day volume, almost all in exactly the same configuration with these nasty base wheels. Basically a squatty, ever so slightly wider Equinox V6. Rochester market is big for Chevy, Ford, etc. so it made sense. But day to day "what's the payment on that" vs. when you could be in a loaded Grand Cherokee, etc. for less...🤨

    Gotta love CarPlay Google Maps earth view. Especially helpful if in the middle of nowhere. Last night getting back to Philly from upstate NY. Best voice recognition on this one, and helpful "may be closed...is closing soon..." notifications when you pick certain businessed based on your travel. Every day in my car. I can't fathom using an inbuilt system again...and have one.

    East fix. Not a worry, and a common recall. The antithesis of Honda (or others) that will never recall anything...but keep doing bulletins..."if the transmission keeps failing...do this...but don't report it". Seatbelt thing. Good. Handled. Recalls aren't bad, it means "oops. Stop. Fix it" Seeing more of these out. Most dealers only have 0-2 though, so that's also good. If you want it, you order it and make a deal. Not 100 sitting everywhere. Good.

    Google maps via CarPlay...is the BEST nav system I've used in ages. Love it. Driving in the middle of a forest or nowhere, turn on satellite view, great. Tap the voice and just say a business name and always find it while driving? Great. Add a stop along the way? Great. I let Waze run in the background for cops, etc. but Google primarily. More integration...great. Car makers need to stop wasting so much money developing computer systems, and focus on the vehicle. I.E., Acura, etc...millions on "true touch" only for it to be a mess. Just use a screen, get better software, and stop.
