I've seen this car before, in Rehoboth/Lewes, right around where I work and it's from the dealer a stoplight away, but today I ran into Staples mid-day for something and when I came out it was parked right next to the 'ole G8 (out a bit from everyone else). Gee, I wonder why :AH-HA_wink: Too bad I didn't get a side by side, but the two were already getting some attention and I was in a rush.

My G8 rolled over 5k back on 6/23 and I posted a picture of it on Twitter as a milestone...more so because it's the first of my 3 new cars in a row I've made it that far with :AH-HA_wink: http://www.twitpic.com/88hnx

2008 Pontiac G6 summer clean-up
caddycruiser replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Problems or not, I STILL miss my White Diamond/Taupe '08 GT coupe...really, really do. What a great looking combo and perfectly detailed :AH-HA_wink: -
Awesome. We had a yellow '70 Superbee replica that I loved...my father sold it 10 years ago before we moved from PA to DE. Still miss it. It was the last car in the family that we'd take to shows. Years before it my father also had a '68 and then a '69, in chronological order.

YES. Although great to hear about Bob, I've had a nagging feeling it was based on a big part to the "okay, we're set...but none of us know anything about cars...who can we get or keep, quickly?" Of course, that could be wrong, but again, it seems too likely. Even if they're not the best accountants, as it's been said time and time again, in the end it only matters if you have products people desire and buy in droves and only successful car & auto industry experts can really do that. Having the best accounting system doesn't help, unless they're saying "Do whatever you need to, as long as they sell." We'll see.

Had no idea, but saw it on the news tonight. Heh. Interesting.

Fresh off the truck and prepped silver '10 Equinox 1LT "on the tall perch" at Lewes Auto Mall--the first to arrive. Funny, it's bigger than the old one, but still looks smaller. And very, very nice. I'd trade the Malibu for one, if it were mine, for the DI 2.4L/6-spd, more space, better mpg ratings, and all.
-
Hope he's good to go! Now it's just diet & exercise time...easy stuff and feel better stuff, to boot.
-
It's now the "Pontiac Closeout" and back down to 60, it looks like, for maximum 0% months. Ahem.
-
Nice. Burns regardless, there are still some others in PSM around the area (not many), so a dealer trade or even just a drive over a border could be that answer. Well, you know, as long as the affording it part is realistic :AH-HA_wink: If not, on my next trip north, I'll have to head east a little and let you see what a PSM GT with a new suspension and such is like. Who knows Still, hope all is well in every regard and your latest blip was just that and no more.
-
Crazy but then still good news overall, despite the "blip". Welcome back :AH-HA_wink:

Fellow Oz greatness lurking in front of me, first exiting the Staples parking lot and on down the road together. Fun hearing both of our exhaust notes as she prodded the LS2 and I just kept punching it to stay with her on Rt. 1 and then off onto the next road. Funny, I was all into it, and she was just "driving the black car"...or at least it seemed like that. Hard to tell from behind

A few days back...a new black Camaro 1LT from the local dealer with temp tags sitting alone in the middle of a parking lot on my way to work, with a random guy just circling it...from afar, from behind, peering in the windows, etc. Fun.
-
A new silver Camaro SS, and a not particularly clean one, cruising along Rt. 1 from time to time with Delaware tags and...driven by a young kid/really young guy. Hmm. Then again, I say this as the 23 year old passing him in my loaded G8 GT, so, you know. Still, always cool to see one of these in traffic, and not common yet. The local dealer is soon to have a black/black cloth 1SS with just the 6-spd auto in stock...my G8 could always use a friend. Well, you know, in that hit the jackpot sort of a world.
-
I want to go! I want to go! Seriously, I could always use some more Holden goodies... Oz = killer choice.
-
Absolutely agreed, you know, if I wasn't working a sales event literally from 9am until 9pm yesterday! That said, thanks for the great G8 shots...I'll be in a row like that somewhere, someday especially with the way my mod list has grown in 3 months :AH-HA_wink:

Ahh...my G8 forums brethren! I wanted to make it but before I could even have a chance, there was a big weekend work event coming up. As for the black '08 GT, I know him well from the board, and those are the 2nd set of wheels he's had since the stock Sport GT 19's. The current ones are from WheelWorx in Oz, and the HSV variety, but with a special finish. There are a lot of HSV wheels you can get either like that or in GM original form, as Holden has so many different styles, and all around $2k for a full set. Not bad really, compared to some aftermarket stuff. It's great that there's such a following and SO many models of the VE/Commodore over in Oz, because almost everything for those works with our left drive G8's, and with the exchange rates and such is not expensive. He also has the full on Pedders Track II suspension installed by the same guys who did mine last month, which fixed some stock issues and really gives it the damping and control the Zeta is really made to have. Well, among his many other mods. Once mine is GXP nose converted soon, my new dampers finally in with the drop springs, among other things to keep me entertained, I need to get it "out there" more. If only I could have made it...darn. If I ever move back to PA, for the sake of a career change before long, perhaps it will be easier.

I absolutely, positively concur with his comments after seeing it in person :AH-HA_wink: To back up how honest this is, I normally am not a fan of the typical non high trim, SS, etc. Cobalt, and really honestly don't like the Silver Moss color on a lot of vehicles depending on their wheels, trim, etc. (for instance, the way your car used to be stock with the hubcaps...meh), BUT between the chrome package and the hugely better wheels, it looks great. And also unlike what others have said, really not like as much of a baja runner as a stocker 'Balt may seem. A little, but then again even our '08 Malibu looks like it has a lift kit to me after the slight drop of my G8. So yeah, cool little car and great choice in colors and trim, but you knew that already.
-
Aye, aye, I concur :AH-HA_wink: Still trying to think up a G8 sig with a lot of Pacific Slate coloring...hmm. Can't wait to see yours, Camino :AH-HA_wink:

Red Jewel/Ebony '10 Camaro 2SS at a Chevy dealer near here, up close & personal. Stopped in to buy some tickets for something, and had to admire it out front...in the shade, especially, the Red Jewel looks almost maroon and VERY rich. Great color for this car, especially vs. the yellow and silver I've only seen thus far;)

I'd like a new signature, if someone's up to the task!

Holy crap, Roger, I love that new sig! Killer job, Dodgefan...request coming soon. -
Oh, there's a couple of those...being in a few G8 clubs/forums, more than one person already has gotten into a pickle with their GXP's. Some fixed, some totaled. More so, also a lot of GT's out there scrunched, of course, and LS3/stick aside, not much of any worthwhile difference there, and what is, can be had for not much from people changing stuff out, etc. Just saying, you know :AH-HA_wink: I so want a UTE now too...especially after seeing this HSV one on a G8 forum last year, freshly ordered and arrived to the owner in Australia, and in my FAVORITE color (of course) Karma/Pacific Slate: Sedan form, or whatever, ahh...I love my bastard Holden/Pontiac
-
So, what exactly are the offers? Incentives already known, or? I still wish I had gotten the GM card $3k or so, because, you know, I needed to GXP shop there if I did...well, I did anyway, but you know, just a bit too out there :AH-HA_wink: Well, that, and I was waiting to hear from my mother that she received something so I could persuade her into a year newer 'Bu, 6-spd and all, but nada.

Me too, after I inquired a long time ago...I still need one. Hmm. -
Yeah, some dealers have done that to see what reaction they get, and otherwise some owners have specifically had it done. Makes quite a difference, either way you like it.
