T2X Concept evolved

Northstar

Recommended Posts

On the 11th apparantly a new version of the T2X concept debuted. I first saw it on GMTV and took a print screen of it, and I was only able to find one other pic of it.

Anyways, here is the old T2X that debuted back in April:

And here is the "evolved" one:

Here is the only other pic I could find of the new one:

Obviously there must be a bigger version of the last one I posted, but I couldn't find any.

Regardless, I think the new Chevy grill inserted into the old black space makes it look a lot better, and I really think GM could do good producing something like it.

Styling direction for the next gen Equinox? They also filled the space between the headlight housings and the LEDs.

The changes kinda remind me of how the SS concept got some slight grill changes (uplander grill).

IMO, I think that one looks a bit more cleaner than the one iwth the bar through it.

A front license plate will work as well on that as on a Solstice.

Wow.. I like it. The original was a bit too "I wanna be a Mazda" but this new blue one is downright sleek.

As far as the plate I'd mount mine off to the side. :)

Wow, that is stunning with the chevy grill, it looks more polished than the original concept. I hope that is looks as amazing with 4 doors, same for the Antera for saturn. This is exactly what GM needs to improve their image with new buyers! Just don't put a crap chinese built engine into it. I would love to replace my 2dr Jimmy with that.

<_< IMO the 1st gen is better looking than the 2nd gen. I do not like that big ass chevy bar in the second one. It looked good for the 1st gen. I like an open grill area. :P

I like it, actually. A little rough around the edges, but, whatever. It's a three-door SUV, and I'd like to see that concept return when people slowly start to ditch big five-door SUVs and those vehicles are no longer needed to haul Junior, Jimmy, Senior, and Ms. Soccer Mom around town anymore.

Actually I think the T2x had 2 suicide doors like the RX8 and Ion Quad Coupe.

That's a nice looking vehicle...and if its got a quality build and a good selection of engines/options, then I think Chevy will have a hit.

Still, anything resembling a three-door SUV should make a comeback. If two, small suicide doors (along with a powerful engine) are required to put the Sport back into Sport Utillity Vehicle 180 degrees, then so be it. Some of us probably won't and/or don't have kids to haul around, if it be by choice or otherwise.

I agree, the idea of a sports coupe/hatchback/SUV combo sounds great. This evolution of the T2X is an improvement, but there are still some "show car" details that need to be changed for production. After living with my Ion, I am not sold on suicide doors because they don't allow for a really solid body structure... my Ion rattled and creaked like mad after only a few thousand miles. My extended cab Colorado is somewhat better because of the BOF foundation, but the doors still rattle against each other over bumps. The Element's gotta rattle too after some miles.
