TMZ.com SAYS MICHAEL JACKSON HAS DIED!

Sad to hear as I remember being a kid when he was on top of the world, but it may be a blessing in disguise. A tortured soul (by himself and others) is finally at rest.

Yeah BBC and CBC and everyone else in the planet is reporting it now.

I really liked his early work and his Thriller album. Songs like Black or White were pretty provocative. He may have been nuts, not having the kind of upbringing a normal child would have, but his music was epic.

This is a shocker. Apparently he was getting in shape for his big London gig. The Thriller album, over TWENTY-SIX MILLION copies sold so far. The haters ain't got nothing on that accomplishment. If we can manage to focus on his music, he is peerless. Damn this makes me feel old. They're playing his music on the radio, I had "Billie Jean", "Thriller" and "ABC" blasting in the Cobalt on the drive home just now.

OB is right, if we can look past the eccentric personal stuff, MJ was really a man with talent to be envied. If only today's pop music were interesting and original like Thriller.

I never care or have cared about celebrities do outside their gig lives. When it comes to talent this man was and will possibly remain peerless considering the fickleness of current world.

Too bad his life intervened his talent in the last decade and a half otherwise he would have still ruled pop world and may not have been a sorry state as he was. Oh well Destiny. So long Prince Of Pop (POP).

I was completely oblivious to both MJ and FF dying today until I saw about 3 dozen people in a row post it on their Facebook news feeds.

Agreed. The Elvis of our generation has died.

I was hoping he would be able to make a comeback...
