  1. These are classics that are so well baked at this point...you can't go wrong. Lack of any options aside, the 2017 Challenger R/T (literally zero options, and cloth with no backup camera...but burbling Hemi) was incredible for the 5000 miles I put on it as a rental for work. Best part, quiet, smoothness, and refinement heft aside, was with the ZF 8-speed, multiple times I got 28-29mpg cruising, with an all time best 29.6 mpg from western PA back to Philly on a Sunday. Yet since, I've driven smaller cars, cars with no power, etc. and struggled to get more than 22-23 highway. Had a V6 2017 Charger SXT rental for a week too, with far nicer technology inside, and even though the 3.6L is no barn stormer, with he 8-speed it's silent and strong. These cars just keep going and going and going... Which makes you wonder...

  2. Apparently Nissan has learned what GM figured out post-BK: market share does not pay the bills; profits and cash flow do.

  4. The fastest (slightly modified) P100D went 10.4 in the quarter a few months ago. It is Tesla who has not beaten a Demon, not the other way around. Reel in your laughter. Did you mean to say 'only 48% were IC'?

  5. Poked around, because something about this felt counter intuitive. Found a 2014 Viper Owners Assoc. forum poll of how old Viper owners were at their first purchase. While not necessarily empirical, the 157 people who responded had an average buyer age of 34 years old. In fact, 49 respondents were in their 20s. Viper is not a car for middle-aged cruisers, it's too unpolished & challenging.

  7. Love this story on primer Rods and Classics show. http://www.automobilemag.com/news/primer-rods-classic-trucks-2018-lone-star-roundup/ Some very cool Turbo Diesel applications and love the dual motor quad Supercharger setup.

  8. The AARP crowd that bought the past Vipers would freak out at the idea of an electric Viper...

  9. '68-69 GTOs were all 400 CI. It gained the 455 in '70 (that motor's first year). No GTO 350 until either '73 or the 350-only '74.

  10. First year or 2 the Seville has FI issues but I believe they took some time to manifest. Cadillac addressed it pretty quickly to my recollection, and the available FI on the 500 I never heard a whisper of trouble regarding. My grandmother had a pre-owned '76 and she had issues with it running erratically upon occasion. It may have stranded her a time or two. She traded it on an early '80s Regal 2-dr.

  11. I want to see an electric Viper because that car has always been a mad cat to handle and imagine if they found a way to let a 1000+ hp and tq electric motor and batteries in the back of the next SOB in this line let loose. worth watching the rubber melt as it rips the goddamn earth off the ground, madness. Oh well ?

  12. Their lawn mowers have a better exhaust note and sexier styling. Pretty bad when the $350 purchase in the bed is sexier than the 40,000 car it is riding in.

  17. I saw that, I was researching Tacomas and considering one for purchase. Would be cool to have a ZR2 Duramax manual, or even a Z71 with six speed stick.
