Remember what the Bene Gesserit's of the sisterhood say. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." Sadly some get caught up in their fear.3 points

Fantastic. I hope this gets to production cars sooner than later. Or should I say: ocnblu now has his worst nightmare come true.2 points

Ford's factory tuning brand was SVT, I don't recall an SVE then. SVE used to be SLP, it's Ed Hamburger's company. http://specialtyvehicleengineering.com/about-sve/2 points

Didn't play on a sports team. Would play 'baseball' with 5 others on occasion as a kid. Played catch (ball & frisbee), liked to do batting practice in the back yard with the dog playing outfield. Went to a handful of pro baseball games growing up. Now I cast an occasional eye on the baseball standings (15 years ago I would often catch games on the radio while I was doing other stuff; background noise), and I'll watch the Super Bowl every year (maybe the last 7 yrs or so). No other pro sports or the Olympics- doesn't hold my interest.1 point

Hope they win... tired of seeing the Warriors win.. and the prospect of a team winning their 1st championship is really cool.1 point

I'm a casual sports fan, watch mostly motorsports and football on TV. I find I generally enjoy sports more in person at an event than on TV. I used to go to Colorado Avalanche hockey games when I lived in Denver w/ friends, and enjoyed them. A big part of going to live sporting events I enjoy is the social aspect..friends, beer, hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, etc. Same with baseball (Rockies, Diamondbacks, Indians) , basketball (Nuggets, Suns, Cavaliers), and football (Broncos, Cardinals, Browns).. went to a few pro soccer matches in Denver that were fun also.. I do know from my Canadian friends in the US that hockey in Canada is a Big Deal, really the national sport more than others. I have heard about Hockey Night in Canada (actually watched some) and Don Cherry.1 point

Then everybody wins as this tech will be universal and will be even cheaper to produce?1 point

Meh, one of those blink-and-you-miss-it low volume novelties. Only making 100, probably already pre-sold. Most will end up crashed within hours of delivery or put in storage.1 point

SVT!!! Yeah. S. V.... T. Thanx for the info. SVE...SVT...close but no cigar. Especially cigars from Cuba...because of the embargo??? Or has that been lifted? Maybe reinstated? There goes my memory again...1 point

SVE? I know this company's name was SLP...of Trans Am Firehawk fame and then unto the actual production of the 4rth generation F-Body Camaro SS and Trans Am WS6 Ram Air stuff... But wasnt SVE a Ford aftermarket performance company in the 1990s or early 2000s? Anyway, glad that this nameplate is back. Now of Ford could do a Lightning alongside the Raptor and we are all good. Well, we will need a SUV based on the Canyon and then a Typhoon version and THEN we re all good. Not quite...RAM could give us another "Lil Red Express" and THEN we are all good!1 point

This is only on the Canyon tho, correct? It makes zero sense to offer it on the Sierra, which you can already get with 420 HP.1 point

I would also agree. Lexus has been promoting the RX350L with third-row seating. They should simply make a new model designed for three rows and storage, like the new Cadillac XT6.1 point

Agreed. The Tahoe is so easy to drive for a vehicle it’s size. I imagine the new Expedition is even better given the recent accolades. That pic sums up my point very nicely. Okay, so you got all the kids in there but where does the stuff go (because that kind of kid hauling usually involves stuff hauling). I know I am just stating a personal preference and if someone wants the useless third row, it’s a free country. It’s just a half baked concept to me, that’s all.1 point

Yeah...a big truck (or Miata or Muscle Car) wont help with my manliness if Im having issues... LOL I am not having issues. Though...maybe I need sex... (It has been awhile) \Maybe I need to take my woman and tell her: "listen babe, when the kids go to sleep tonight, you and I, will make the earth MOVE!!!" "Shhhhhh....let me take care of you baby!" And then proceed to do it all over our house....and quite honestly...I dont care if I wake up the neighbors let alone my kids... EDIT: Or maybe...mid-life crisis is kicking in? I highly doubt that! I would rather think that I need to please my woman and make her feel like when we first met...over and over and over again...1 point

@oldshurst442 your manhood should be fine even if you drive a Miata. If it is not, than even an Escalade probably will not help1 point

As per the video, you can see the cup holders are on the front of the center storage section between the seats.1 point

Not if Rivian has a "Find a Friend" app on their Rivian app store. These are supposed to be "lifestyle" vehicles, non?1 point

They had BOF platforms---they were already making the 4Runner, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser. But they realized they could make more car-like crossovers from unibody FWD car platforms that would be more appealing to women, and it ended being a means of printing money... Jeep had the unibody SUVs long before that, but they were purpose-built RWD based platforms, not generic FWD sedan mediocrity.1 point
