  1. It's irrelevant with these tug-of-war games. It's always the truck to break traction first that loses no matter what's under the hood. If they were both 4WD with it engaged and they both regulated the throttle the same then it would come down to which trucks drivetrain breaks first...weakest link.
  2. A Ford, with all the fixin's : Happy Thanksgiving!
  3. Genesis needs a SUVs and they’ll be fine. The Palisade is better than the new Explorer based on reviews so make a luxury version and it will beat Lincoln or Infiniti or the XT6 and Genesis will have sales.
  4. It's Cyborgtruck get it straight! LOL
  5. Maybe he was referring to the new Tesla Roadster due in the future. Supposed to have outrageous statistics...like 0-60 in less than 0 seconds or something... ?
  6. There is no tesla roadster, Musk shot it into space, remember?
  7. The tri-motor Cybertruck would win a tug of war against a Super Duty F350, probably with ease due to the electric motors. In fact, I bet the Tesla Roadster would win a tug of war with an F350.
  8. Happy Thanksgiving all!
  9. CVT in my 2012 Trail Rated Patriot was abhorrent. It ruined an otherwise pleasant ownership experience, as the Patriot was a perfect size for maneuverability + versatility. The poor little 2.4 would drone on and on, with revs hanging high before it would finally settle down at cruising speed. Mom has had two Nissan CVT vehicles, a Cube and a Versa Note. She loved both of them because she didn't ask much from either of them, but on the occasion I got behind the wheel, I was reminded how odd they are.
  10. It looks pretty good for the subcompact class.... have to see them at the dealers when they come out, my sister might like one...she's talked about maybe trading her Trax on a 'Nox...
  11. Relaxing on the sofa w/ the furs after a delicious meal at Table 45...food coma. Our Uber downtown was a black w/ black interior Suburban and the return was a black w/ black interior Yukon Denali... love those big GM boats.
  12. Right the new Tesla, and it has rocket thrusters and like 7,000 lb-ft of torque.
  13. Still better than the Tesla Psychotruck
  14. Yeah, a lot of ppl do not like the rubberband feel of a trad CVT, so makers are introducing artificial "shifts" into the programming to make them feel a little better.
  15. Sure but outside of trucks and SUV's have GM's been lauded or notable for their reliability over other brands?
  16. Thanks Drew! You too!
  17. GREEN NEW DEAL compliance vehicle?
  18. Thor24. Holy Beast Mode!! ????? https://www.thedrive.com/news/31069/meet-thor24-a-3424-hp-semi-with-twin-v-12-engines-and-a-dozen-superchargers
  19. Yep, 1.5T Malibu is a CVT. Drove a 2020 not long ago with National. The CVT although I dont trust them wasn't bad, could hardly tell it wasn't actually shifting, they do a nice job with the shift algorithms to make "shift" smoothly but you can still feel it seemingly shift. Drove a Jeep Patriot rental with a CVT and 4 banger years ago that was Horrible slipping and slamming as you went. Still would go with 2.0T and 9 speed in Mali. if I was in the market. 1.3T 9 spd AWD in this TB.
  20. This one reminds me of a lot late 60s-early 70s Hot Wheels and Tonka truck designs, cab forward w/ big wrap around windows.
  21. Someone please provide cliff notes. Thanks.
  22. While i can understand how it would be attractive in the market, I can't like this thing. Anything Hyundai or Kia still reeks of faux to me up and down. I would spend a bit more for an Exploder or a Traverse or Enclave or even an Atlas. Just like I wouldn't get a G70 over even an Alfa or something, unless a huge discount was involved. My wife is hinting at not wanting the next vehicle to be so large, or have the third row. We must be moving out of that phase of life. I will give credit to the Palisade for not being so ungainly feeling from a size perspective.
  23. I think just FWD versions are CVT. If that is the case, most want their CUV to have AWD in which case you can upgrade to AWD plus 9 speed and its a non issue. Car and Driver gave decent praise to the CVT in the malibu, although it is still a CVT...it replaced a 6 speed.
  24. Like this, should help those that Fear a pure EV move more that way but with backup.
  25. There IS no downside... Even if range will NEVER be improved to what we got today, which is almost 300 miles. Not quite 300...its still NOT a deterrent for a lot of folk. In Greece, on the island where my momma grew up, even up until the 1990s...AD... there was not many gasoline stations around. And as we all know, Europe and Greece limit engine displacement, plus its an island where thousands of years have gone by where donkey and horses were the main transport, so even a Chevrolet Sonic would have a hard time to get around let alone a full sized, big blocked American V8 land yacht would be possible to be driven in, would be a downside. Here in America, we dont think twice about that...right? So, it be a downside to own a 427 Impala SS in Kefalonia, right? Or even a 350 cubic inch LT1 1996 Impala SS, right? The downside of owning an EV in Lancaster, might be a downside for you...but for you, in Lancaster, its a 1st world problem... Unless of course Lancaster, in 2020, is still like my mom's Greek village from like, the 1990s...BC. As in BEFORE CHRIST... If, in Greece, on that stupid island where my momma came from, there are people that consider buying EVs, why in the phoque would someone from the good 'ole USofA find it such a thorn on their side is beyond my comprehension? As you may or may not know, 2 summers ago I took the family to Greece, and yes, I talked to local yocals about EVs, I did NOT meet one sumbitch that was against EVs... anecdotal, sure, but maybe its the dumb Greek way of life that does not limit their spirits and their progress...I dont know...
  26. I saw it last weekend and really enjoyed it. The Adam Carolla documentaries 'The 24 Hr War' and 'Shelby American' cover some of the same events and are both excellent and streaming on Prime now. I want to see 'The Good Thief' and 'The Irishman' this weekend...good thing The Irishman is streaming on Netflix, too long to see in a theater.
  27. Coupla days left of decent daytime highs (50s), then it looks like a steady stream of 40s -30s after that. Get outside today!
  28. @ocnblu Talk to me buddy! What part of that post is it that perplexes you.LOL A rich dude that buys a hot dog and a coffee part? A rich dude that actually tips? Maybe you feel that a 2 dollar tip is cheap. That phoquing rich bastard should've tipped more? The Urus is ugly part and how I wouldnt want to be seen in it? The part where I gave him a thumbs up even though I hate his car? (At least the ugly thing has some fun attributes to it...the guy could have bought a stuffy Rolls or Bentley SUV...) The part that the dude actually still uses such an out-dated form of a greeting in that surfer gesture? Hey!!! I greet people that way too!!! The Urus/Uranus/Your Anus cliched joke?
  29. Does it come in Electric?
  30. It would have to be a BOF truck chassis SUV to actually be able to go after Tahoe and Expedition which Hyundai doesn't have. The one mid size BOF they had years ago Borrego or whatever retarded Hyundai name it was didn't sell well at all because it was a POS. Genesis needs to figure out cars before they can go after CUV's. New G90 is as ugly as they come. Horrible front end design and the back end looks pretty bland. Clearly a mishmash of 4 different design cues of competitors cars.
