  1. Nice Tree, Winter has finally set in for Seattle. We are in our normal mid 40's temp with drizzle/rain here and snow on the passes. Not long before ski season starts.
  2. Good thing lots of stupid parents and their kids buy his garbage music as his insurance rates must be through the roof. Shame such an awesome car is wasted on a kid.
  3. We'll that sucks and will not help the long term situation of the company. Europe is going to have to come to terms with their over supply glut and close factories and shed jobs.
  4. How about this bad boy? Does it look any better??A one-of-a-kind Cadillac CTS Coupe covered with 350,000 Swarovski crystals was unveiled last weekend, during the Qingdao International Auto Show.http://stationz.blog...d-cadillac.html
  5. Does that mean he is dating himself?
  6. +2 This is just a tragedy! I can say that this look that baby boomers love will disappear over the next few years and I hope go away for good. Odd..never thought of that a boomer thing, thought it was the previous generation that was into that cheese...the older fogies. Around here it seems to be guys in their late 60s and 70s w/ the DTSes w/ the 'carriage roofs', gold trim, wide whitewalls, etc. Yup those are the tail end of the baby boomers. My own parents fall into that category and when I first bought them the CTS when it first came out my dad asked about having this done and I told him no way I was going to destroy a awesome car by doing that.

  8. Totally agree, this is more cult than religion and with no common sense, I think their other kids are in danger. I do not agree with this probation. These people killed their son.
  9. why? station wagons are so uggg. I would rather have the same space in a CUV and sit up higher with a better line of sight. I think this falls into the "different strokes for different folks" category. I would much rather have a sport wagon than a CUV. I like the handling characteristics of the wagon better and could care less about sitting up high. BTW - where are GM, Ford and Chrysler with the passenger car diesels? I guess they are still convinced Americans won't buy them even though it is a pretty damn high take rate on VW/Audi. Let's hope the diesel Cruze sells well enough to change their minds. I agree with the Cruze, I hope the Diesel sells out so that it is heavily backordered and makes them rethink diesel. In regards to the SUV versus wagon, I agree different strokes for different folks. Then you would all be happy to give up a wagon if you had the Typhoon or Trailblazer SS? Those AWD SUV's totally rock for space and performance with a bit higher sitting line of site.
  10. Heh. Paint the air cleaner and valve covers gold or sump'n'. Just cover it in Carbon Fiber with Gold Emblems and it is taken care of. When was the last time a 1/10th of 1% rich person ever took their MB S series plastic engine covers off and said OMG, that is the same engine from the E series. Return it!
  11. That is what I love about airtools, they have one that pops out those rivets mighty fast. I agree, the bean counters are too blame for this shortcut.
  12. Something Old but clean! Too small to see the details or it is my eyes.
  13. Greatest thing about SUV's is the ability to drive up on the curb with the front tire and pop down and be nice and close without a bunch of hassle with the back and forth of traditional parallel parking. That reminds me of the Ford Pickup I had with 3 on the Tree. I used it for my drivers license test and I remember the guy who tested me, besides being a jerk was surprised to see a truck like that. Guess he did not get around many types of trucks. 3 on the Tree was awesome to drive. I do miss those trucks.
  14. Your Awesome Drew!!!

  16. Not to mention the safety issue of these peeps who can barely see over the dash due to being so reclined as it being just stupid.

  18. Yes, I learned at age 12 to help my dad move cars around his garage that he worked on for customers. Still took drivers ed as it is required in Washington state even back in the late 70's to be able to get a drivers license. Passed the written 100%, missed 1 item of all the items they test you on when actually driving. Your allowed to miss two and I was pissed when the tester failed me for parallel parking as he said I was not the required 6" from the curb. I was madder than hell as I was straight and close and he felt it was not good enough and yet how many people can really parallel park. I am crazy about the details. Was so pissed with him. But I got my license and took off out of there and went for a nice long ride in my 76 Series 5 LUV truck! Bad Ass Truck it was.
  19. Nothing planned for now, would like to get me an 86 Monte Carlo SS Aero and rebuild it with a proper GM crate motor to turn it into a sleeper.
  20. That baby could so use some TLC and be a freakin amazing truck again. WOW, have not seen one of those babies in a long time.
  21. So then, this is a weak area in my mind, so what most people here are saying is a ZF tranny is built by the company called Aisins? I have heard many good things about ZF tranny's but never heard Aisins before so just want to make sure I have my tribal knowledge right!
  22. I don't how they get registered either, but I've seen a couple around the Phoenix area w/ AZ plates, and a couple w/ Mexico plates... In the last two years Washington state has seen a rapid growth of the Hispanic community. With it is a few ram-chargers from Mexico. All they have to do here and I suspect the same in California and Arizona is pass a State trooper safety inspection and emissions and if all passes, then they get a state licenses.
