Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
FYI, Toyota using Kenworth truck shells has mules of their Hydrogen Class 8 Semi trucks. They are building a Hydrogen fueling system at the Port of Los Angeles and expect to have these trucks running around LA in quantity over the next few years. I have to wonder about the long term viability of this design when the sleeper cab is used as one massive Hydrogen storage system instead to give it long haul capabilities. The fueling station at the port will also be open to any Mirai car owner to use to fuel.

Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
Nope did not forget about Cummins, but their Aeos EV Semi truck is a concept only as it was built to show off their production ready EV Powertrain they want to sell to existing Class 7 & 8 truck builders. Their power train is going into a couple different commercial EV buses, but they have not yet secured a Class 7 or 8 Semi truck builder yet.

Kia News: 2018 Kia Stinger to Begin At $32,800, GT At $39,200
I totally agree with all you stated. I myself have not used the company listed, but surprised at how fast someone got something on the market. I will say that I do like the dial tune ECU custom chip package where you replace the OEM ECU with one that starts at OEM programing and yet also go up to full power ECU and back if you need MPG over Power.

Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
But Musk says the semi's will be on the road by 2019! I agree that 2022 would seem more likely. Makes me wonder what Paccar, maker of Kenworth and Peterbilt as well as Volvo, Mack and MB have in store for delivering Electric Semi's. We know MB has had mules for the last couple years but they could only cover 100 miles.

Kia News: 2018 Kia Stinger to Begin At $32,800, GT At $39,200
Amazing how fast Kia has supported the 3rd party performance parts market. https://www.carid.com/kia-stinger-performance-parts/ Seems you can also find plenty of ECU tuning that can give you from 40 BHP or more depending on how radical you want to get. https://www.tuning-wizard.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=362 So based on just a basic ECU Tune, you would have the turbo 4 banger go from 255HP to 295HP. Twin Turbo V6 would go from 365HP to 405HP. That would make a whole lot of fun with just an ECU Tune.

GM News: GM Still Sees Drivers A Key Part of Their Business Model
I would totally agree with this as I really have no need or want of self driving auto's even in commute traffic, I like to drive. Yet with that said, I totally see this as a need for the blind, disabled crowd that self driving auto's would give them mobility and freedom to get around without having to wait on others.

Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver?
Tesla Semi starting off with a Bang, Can Tesla Deliver? Tesla in the last week has gone from zero to hero in regards to helping companies that have fleets of semi trucks potentially reduce their carbon footprint. Anheuser-Busch started off with pre-ordering 40 of the Semi's. This was then followed by Sysco ordering 50 themselves. This week we now hear that PepsiCo has placed an order for 100 EV Semi's. Story is all the same, reduce costs of maintenance and fuel plus adding silence into their night / early morning deliveries. Sysco being one of the largest food delivery companies along with Bud's order places it at $13.5 million in semi value. PepsiCo adds another $15 million so a total of $28.5 million. Then Wal-Mart places an order for 15 of the trucks for testing with a price of $2.25 million. DHL has also ordered 10 of the Semi's for testing in the US market so another $1.5 . J.B. Hunt and Ryder truck hauling lease companies have also placed large orders they say but have declined to say how many at this time for EV Semis. This brings in the last 2 weeks since the semi's introduction about 200 pre-orders of the trucks or about $30 million book value with an unknown amount from two of the biggest leasing truck companies. PepsiCo has 10,000 semi's alone on the roads of North America and has a goal to reduce greenhouse gas production on the road by 30% by 2030. Seems it could be even more trucks to be ordered to help them achieve this number. Over all, Tesla has had some game changing ideas, yet with the Tesla 3 mess of building the cars, one does have to wonder if Tesla can deliver and get these trucks to market by 2019. It seems that this has been good for Tesla stock as the more truck orders being placed has continued to push up the stock price. https://binged.it/2BXGYSp Story References Autoblog story Reuters Story Wall Street Journal Story Car Freaks Story

Very cool Table. That was awesome. Sappy but awesome! @A Horse With No Name There is a local wood worker, someday I hope to be able to afford his dining table and 12 chair set when I remodel. I bought my wife one of his jewelry boxes. The Woodwork is amazing. http://www.woodmerchant.com/index.cfm

2019 Subaru Ascent
I have to agree with Drew, it will be a big hit for the Subaru Purist, everyone else I think will see that there are a bit more better options out there. Nice CUV, stays true to their roots, but I think it could have been more.

Review: 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth
My 2006 Escalade has an arrow on both mirrors which is part of the turn signal and I noticed in newer versions they have the turn signal plus blind spot indicator. Maybe your right that it could be the blind spot since there is the yellow spot on the edge of the mirror that would function as turn indicator.

Very cool, that rocks that they save it. Not a fan of the body style, but cool concept nonetheless.

Nice quad exhaust throw the rear bumper. Makes me remember the older custom coach cars where the driver had no roof but the important passenger was in a enclosed protective bubble. Or maybe it was ahead of it's time with a early version of the T Tops that GM put on the Monte Carlo SS and other sporty rides.

Not sure all the points I would want to say about the design language of this auto, so I will just say MEH, this is not working for me.

2018 Jeep Wrangler
Some very cool and nice updates to the Wrangler and yet with that said, also some interesting design bits too. This one will be a success but also have some people either love it or hate it from a design standpoint.

Review: 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth
@oldshurst442 Or it could be that the audience of interest over a rebadge Mazda as a Fiat is so small now that most go Meh! and Move onto other interesting autos that actually have more use and purpose in life. Give it another 20 years and then sport coupes as an EV might come back into fashion, right now you know it is all about the CUV / Truck baby!
