  1. I think this is great as GM is wanting to make sure the Diesel versions are perfect and no mistakes in them having to have a recall. I would rather wait an extra couple months and get a perfect auto than have to take it back after a week or so for some repairs.
  2. Agreed, the BOLT will destroy and leaf the Datsun, 500 and all other EVs in the dust.
  3. The Phaeton was VW version of the Cadillac Catera. The car was too small for most Americans, no rear room and a funky weird layout of the dash. Only thing interesting was the engineering feet with the motor. Other wise this auto was a failure like the Catera.
  4. At least the original peeps are nice and quiet this time of year.
  5. Very true, but they are a cheap ride if you can get someone to buy it for you on a fleet purchase with said discounts. But is the $11K dollar price worth a car that goes about 60-65 miles per charge? Nisan Leaf range is 80 - 100 miles per charge. My partner could drive to and from work twice before needing a recharge. I could go four times and I have chargers in my work garage. For a daily commuter with a predictable route, the leaf would make a great second car. Yes Nissan says the battery depending on auto use, electronics, etc gets 80 to 100 miles. Sadly in farther north states, 60-65 miles seems to be the average being talked in northern states and Canada. So it really depends on where you are at I think on how many miles you actually get. Rather be conservative than to promise 80 and the car is dead at 69.
  6. #nailedit So is that not an Audi? Ford coping Audi?
  7. Based on the Cameo, it looks like it lost plenty of desire to now be only an also ran. I hope I am wrong but my gut tells me that FORD screwed this one up. They should have kept to the concept more.
  8. Surprised it took this long to kill off a money loosing, sad attempt at a luxury auto at VW. Wonder how much the unions had sway in regards to this. I think VW has plenty more auto's to kill off as it cleans house and moves to be a better run, more profitable company.
  9. ^ good point Drew is just what did the new auto replace and how much better was the new over the old. Yesterday my wife and I got onto the freeway behind an old 240Z and it stunk with the unburned exhaust. My wife was shocked it was still on the road polluting, but then I explained how it was an old carburated auto compared to modern day fuel injection.

  11. Except you are comparing APPLES to ORANGES. The GLS is NOT a Full Size Body on Frame. Lets keep this to the only Body on Frame SUV that MB makes and is junk. The G Wagon. Till they build a new one from the ground up to compete with the Escalade you are only dealing with Badge Snobs that are idiots in overpaying for a junk built SUV.
  12. I agree, there needs to be a person capable of driving the auto and taking it over in the early stages of R&D development. Otherwise, once the technology is built with redundant backups and proven safe, then no need to have a person in the auto. Taxis could become totally robotic and no human driver. That would be nice.
  13. Booty Woman
  14. We'll this is an interesting comparison. I see what everyone is talking about. Either they have really hidden the body lines with the funky camo or they really screwed the pooch and have taken a cheap approach to what should have been a major reboot of Lincoln.
  15. So got an email today from the www.government-fleet.com web site about Nissans newest incentive on all 2015 & 2016 Nissan Leafs. So current commercial fleets and the public get the Governments $7,500 federal rebate. Governments through out the US can get an additional $8,000 rebate for buying and if you are in california and are a government group operating in disadvantaged communities you can apply for a state $10,000 rebate through the public fleet pilot project. So according to the web site you can get a Nissan Leaf for only $11,010. http://www.government-fleet.com/channel/electric/news/story/2015/12/nissan-offers-8k-incentive-for-leaf.aspx?utm_campaign=topnews-20151211&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Enewsletter Amazing way for Nissan to sell their leafs.

  17. I will have to say that I am TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED in the new Nissan Titan Pickup. The Engine should be much better than this. The truck seems overly heavy. Not impressed.
  18. How do I check? Are they at the links? I went out to the Chevrolet web site, put in my zip code and then went to the section that covers deals, leasing etc. and looked at available leases in Washington state. Nothing, Nodda, big goose egg.
  19. Great they took the Butt Ugly Maxima style and put it on the bland Altima and now both are just
  20. I do like tea, English style, or Chai. I have to stop caffeine around 3pm or I can't sleep, even w/ my 500mg of Trazodone...(though an anti-depressant, I was prescribed it for my insomnia). Over two decades on prescription sleeping pills... Bummer, I have Narcolepsy so for me, I could drink Triple Jolt Cola which is still sold in Japan and still fall asleep 30 min later.
  21. Could one get any more of a Bland Expressionless, Passionless auto?
  22. But FORD Teaches their sales people to be jerks, I am almost sure of it. Every time I step foot onto a ford lot, I get assaulted. They have no professional sales manners at all. Some GM and FCA are getting bad also. Why, Why, Why!
  23. Just Checked and none of the crazy Leases are available in Washington state. WTF!
