  1. FINALLY MOPAR's acronym gets it right. Seeing that the internal combustion ENGINE is more of an engine rather than a motor and an electrc motor is well...a motor. MOPAR could now make sense! MOTOR PARTS indeed!
  2. QUEBEC
  3. Tim Kuniskis is saying that the Hellcat engine's time is almost up. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a35381043/dodge-ceo-says-hellcat-v-8-dying/ Its not clear if the small Hemi's time has come, (but I wont be surprised that it too will go away), but the iron block, 6.2 liter, supercharged version is going to go away soon. And it WILL be replaced by battery packs and electric motors. This Gen E thing does have some drawbacks, I must admit. Bye Bye Love. Bye Bye Happiness! But...Im actually quite excited to see what those crazy folks over at Dodge have in store for us with Peugeot's electric motors and what they could accomplish with those under a Charger and Challenger name plate. Possibly even a new EV Viper? To compete with an EV Corvette? I came across this mash-up...I think its a GREAT choice of a mash-up of MJ and BO and BlackandWhite and GetoutofmydreamsGetintomycar. You know...FCA,Chryco, Grpoue PSA and it dont matter if its EV or ICE...its all a phoquing mash-up anyway
  4. They wont relabel it as Autopilot is a FANTASTIC brand name for that kind of feature, although it IS highly misleading. But Tesla does STATE quite CLEARLY that you, the driver, MUST have at least one hand on the wheel and be alert. Is it Supercruise though that there is a camera and sensor that records the driver's eyes and facial mannerisms to determine driver awareness? If Tesla's Autopilot feature does not do that, then maybe it should. But I do know the (Tesla ) car beeps at you if there is a prolonged time lapse when there is no hand on the steering wheel.
  5. Saint Sauveur, Quebec. In between 3 ski slopes. Saint-Sauveur, Mont Gabriel and Olympia. Saint Sauveur water park is at the Saint Sauveur mountain peak. Is the address if you wanna Google Map it. 226 Rue Principale, Saint-Sauveur, QC J0R 1R0 I used to go skiing at Saint-Sauveur often enough. The water park in the summer was a favorite too. My friends and I only passed by that church once as we were exploring the town as the church itself is out of the way from the ski slopes. It has quite a distinct presence and that is why I remembered it from the pic. Fond memories came flooding back to me. Thanks!
  6. Not Tesla's fault for a certain stupid Tesla owner that decides to do everything else BUT drive their vehicle while the vehicle is in motion... We dont blame Ferrrari, Porsche, Chevrolet, Dodge , Lamborghini...hell, even Toyota for people going waaaaay over the speed limit with their fast cars and killing themselves and innocent people, now do we? But here we are, we blame Tesla for autopilot? Yeah..I know what Tesla marketed in the beginning with Autopilot including the name of it...but...let me repeat...we dont blame sports car makers for their marketing of go fast cars with awesome go fast stickers and monikers on their cars and when the drivers of those vehicles and up in a killing spree...so why here? Level 5 autonomous driving is not a thing nor will it ever be. Regardless what system is better and reacts faster predicting a possible accident, both systems require a hand on the wheel and the driver alert defeating the purpose of both Autopilot AND Supercruise. IF BOTH systems are used as an aid to prevent accidents while the driver is actually driving and being alert, then both systems are good enough... Anything else other than that, the driver is fooling himself with something both systems are NOT...which is autonomous driving...which both systems are not...
  7. That sounds AWESOME!
  8. -uh as in...Porshe-uh
  9. Sure... gas up here in Queeebeck is expensive as heck. Dodge Hellcats are close to 100 000 Canadian dollars. Same as a Tesla Model S P100D (I dont know what the 2020-2021 Model S equivalent is.) Yeah...breaking the bank. However...a Tesla Model 3 AWD Dual Motor is about 65 000 CDN. A Mustang GT is 50-55 000. The Model 3 spanks it in speed and in family hauling duties. Fuel consumption for the Mustang is kinda prohibitive as like I stated earlier, gas prices are crazy high up here. Electric bills tend to be on the opposing spectrum of quite being quite low... 65 000 for a smallish car seems like a lot of money, and it is, but... 50-55 thousand for a pony car is ALSO a lot money... So yeah...although you would seem to think that EVs are expensive, and they are, V8 powered cars in Quebec are expensive (and those on mainstream brands that Ive mentioned, forget about the luxo brands...) plus the fuel to feed them is quite prohibitive when daily driven. And if one has a heavy foot, which I do, tends to be even MORE prohibitive.
  10. I havent listen to the video. No need. I knew this was coming a couple of years ago. It was just a matter of time. GM really has no other choice. This was a decision that the majority of the world leaders took. All car manufacturers have to comply. For better or worse, BEVs are the way forward. Technology will catch up (and surpass) to where we are with the internal combustion engine... Choices? I really didnt have a choice when GM went all in with FWD and shytty 4 cylinder Iron Dukes, buzzy Quad 4s and 6 cylinder engines to replace ageing, emissions controlled, choked up V8s. Nor did I have a choice when right after that, GM took away its 6 cylinders to give me turbo 4s and turbo 3s and cancel sedans for CUVs... Besides, Quebec produces hydro-electric power, so when I charge my next car, instead of pissing my money away on foreign fuels, Ill be pissing my money and it will go directly into my home economy. All is good on all accounts. Hoping EVs lose some weight along with torque vectoring across those 4 wheels and happy times will be here again...for performance oriented vehicles. Because as we have it now...FWD, top heavy, turbo3 and turbo 4 cylinder CUVs just dont cut it for me... If I want to buy a Chevy or just American without breaking the bank...for a performance vehicle...
  11. I cant believe Im actually gonna post a Debbie Gibson song on the internets. But..somehow, the song seems appropriate in this thread, even though I never really liked this song nor Debbie Gibson Im fully 100% on board with Gen E!
  12. lapse in judgement
  13. The Horsepower Obsessed video I posted got blocked on the site I think? Anyway...Ill be posting his latest one. Hopefully this video wont get blocked. He has heard rumours that the Z06 will be POBISSIBLY REVEALED in July. THAT doesnt mean the Z06 will be available for sale. THAT rumour could very well be true that the Z06 will be availbale for sale in 2023. But its POSSIBLE that Chevy will REVEAL the Z06 in July! Its not much...but its something!
  14. That must be a law abiting shark (yes...intentional spelling mistake for obvious pun reasons) Seeing that the shark was seemingly only wanting to bite the boat, maybe there is a law in Florida for sharks not to bite stupid humans? On a serious note regarding the idiot that wanted to pet the shark: I cant believe the idiot said that the shark wanted to play when the shark showed its belly. Yeah...I think the shark was playing alright. Playing with him in a Machiavellian kind of way. I think the shark was telling him "do that one more time motherphoquer, and you'll end up in here!"
  15. Covid 19 prognosis for the Oldshurst442 family = a big FAT - which in turn becomes a HUGE + Got r rezults yestr-day just before noooon. Left for work to flip some burgers and dress some hot dogs right away as soon I got the rezult.
  16. Hmmmm.... There seems something wrong, but I cant put my finger on it. Seems something dirty is in the air. Cant see it. Its not in the water. That be in Boston 'Cause the Bruins beat that shytty Pennsylvania team...in Boston tonight. Oh yeah! Its clear to me now... Good 'ole Bugsy boy didnt turn left at Albuquerque Nobody put baby in a corner and Sidney didnt seem to care because of it...
  17. @balthazar Im thinking about ways to rebuttal. Thanx for giving me one. All of a sudden, my brain has gone mush and Im not accessing the necessary smarts needed to give you a proper discussion. Give me some time.
  18. Despite our...um...slight differences in poli I sure phoquing agree with THAT statement!!!
  19. No... These are just EXCUSES from people closing their eyes and shutting theirs ears. Take example #1: Same as air inside as the outside. So...diesels emit a certain emission and when a diesel bus drives along a certain path, the air is the same inside the bus as it is outside IMMEDIATELY where it passes... Does THAT mean there is NO pollution? Like at all? The POLLUTUED air outside is the same inside the bus so THAT makes it OK to continue to pollute? Of course there is pollution! LAST link recommendations: Well...MY critical thinking tells ME: MONEY is the SOLE reason as to why NOTHING is BEING made for change... We are ALWAYS putting MONEY in front of HEALTH. MONEY is the SOLE driver... Dirty dirty money. And we IGNORE how dirty dirty dirty diesel is... Even when DAMNING reports are THERE...we CAREFULLY word things that its "safer" to 'NOT use passenger cars for transport because accidents' and 'MAINTAIN diesel buses to reduce...' NOTHING to do with how harmful diesels are and how we should avoid using diesels but DEFLECTING the issues by mentioning traffic accidents that have NOTHING to do with diesel emissions and maintenance as as somehow maintenance is the KEY to reducing harmful emissions. ALL maintenance does is NOT increase the emissions due to broken down mechanicals but the harmful emissions are STILL present with perfectly fine mechanicals... But yeah...critical thinking...
  20. A feasible rendering of the Z06 version of the C8 which the rendering mimics the C8R to a tee as reference. (it IS the C8R. The C7 and C6 Z06s do really mimic their respective 'R' versions) The rest are high priced toys. Functional toys. In the same spirit as that poster. Ferrari 512 BB track car = Corvette C8 Z06 track car Porsche 928 GT car = HUMMER EV Mercedes sedan = Lucid Air Corvette C4 convertible = restomod American muscle Douchebag Bimmmer = Douchebag Dodge pick-up truck
  21. Elon knows how to throw a party. And when he does, the world invites itself to the festivities. GM had that after the war and well into the '60s. GM still has it, but for certain vehicles only. But I do agree that the Cybertruck is a clown show. I do think it will look like that as Tesla has many deposits for that exact Cybertruck. He cant go back on it now. Tesla will lose too much credibility if they change up the looks of it now. If When the initial sales dwindle to nothing, Elon WILL change it. He said so. The HUMMER promises to be an EXCELLENT EV. What GM has been giving out as info over their EV tech, it promises to be on par or greater than what Tesla has got going on. The only thing is that Tesla's tech is improving too so when the HUMMER and the Lyriq come out, Tesla wont be where they are at now. But I think GM knows this as GM has been in this type of "warfare" for over 100 years. GM EV R&D has been 100% full throttle for 3 years now. People tend to forget that. INCLUDING Sandy Munro. But that just proves ME right when I say shyte like if it aint a Tesla EV...
  22. Yes! In today's Bizarro world of multiple (lazy) ways of making income, higher income definitely over higher education. I was referencing a late 1980s poster theme. I like this theme so much that I tend to (over)use it still today! With that being said tho...isnt hair brained schemes trying to make fast money THE quintessential American Dream? FINALLY, after all these decades, the internet comes through for the lazy, no good rascal to make some dough. His time has come!
  23. Justification for Higher Education '20s Edition Money no object re-imagined restomod
  24. Well...GM marketing is starting to create buzz for the HUMMER https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a35320417/gmc-hummer-ev-race-car/
