But SMK...I dont think JDN really cares about Escalade performance numbers...as THAT is not what the Escalade is all about...and I think HE ACKNOWLEDGES that the Escalade aint about performance numbers... He does not hint on any performance criteria...unless of course he means "technically advanced" as performance oriented... And he confirms that its not hard to do it even with BOF... Either way...the Escalade is about to become even more of a Halo car for Cadillac...in SUV form...and that is in preparation for the Bentayga assault...JDN is not ready to concede SUV supremacy to Bentley, even if the Bentley will probably cost twice as much as the Escalade. The Bentayga a Bentley or not, the Escalade is still gonna be the 'Slade!

For you SMK... http://www.hotrod.com/news/1508-watch-hennesseys-665hp-yukon-denali-xl-drag-race-a-hellcat-challenger/ GMC Denali long wheel base... from the link... Sure...Hennessy Hot Rod and not factory. Sure we dont know what the top speed is pf this Im sure Cadillac could and will use some of that good 'ol American Hot Rodding techniques to make a Cadillac Escalade V be as close to Benteyga performance. So...before you try and negate this of what i have posted... YOU state 190mph for the Bentley...the vehicle aint even on the drawing board yet...but...this Hennessey Beast actually exists...its not a Cadillac Escalade...its the closest thing to an Escalade...its a GMC Yukon Denali...practically all the lux is their with all the heft as this is the XL...the long wheelbase one... I wouldnt underestimate what the General could do with its new found performance technology for all out performance and what that Chevy Small Block under the hood is capable of... EDIT : plus what Suave is sayin' about the next gen being of an aluminium body...less weight equals a very possible way of extracting better performance numbers...

Greece's economy... Teacher: "Kids, what does the chicken give you?" Student: "Meat!" Teacher: "Very good! Now what does the pig give you?" Student: "Bacon!" Teacher: "Great! And what does the fat cow give you?" Student: "Homework!" yeah...this is a shout out to my kids... I dedicated that to them...

That is slowly shrinking,my friend... Porsche, Bentley are all going electric... Hybrid and full on... Your beloved Chevrolet is now offering soon enough a pure 100% full on electric car while currently selling a SECOND generation ALMOST 100% full on electric car... The Spark has died...in favor of the Bolt... Prius is going on strong...gas prices have eased off...so not strong enough...sure...the electric infrastructure is nowhere near the gasoline one...the gasoline infrastructure is 100 years in the making...the electric one is not even a decade old... BLU...learn to argue... Playful sarcasm or not... THAT is a very childish thing to say... I had a laugh with that...yes...yes I did... But...that statement...sarcastic or not...fails to acknowledge any propaganda that comes off people like you... -

Electric infrastructure is growing...and give it another year or two...it will start growing by leaps and bounds... I never thought of that....and yes...these are words of wisdom to live by in this day and age...even if I do live in Montreal Quebec, Canada... A country that is considered "peaceful" by many, even by those terrorists...from time to time...Canada does get mentioned that its a terrorist target...and even if it is in the Frenchie part of Canada, a place that wants to separate from Canada and Montreal...a very cosmopolitan, multi-cultural city... In the 1970s....with all those gas stations around...many motorists were left stranded because there simply was no gasoline available... The last picture looks like its a gas station in the middle of nowhere...imagine running out of gasoline there? These folks that would do harm today would take out as many French Canadians as they could take out as they do not care how progressive and peaceful you claim to be. Seriously the Canadian government needs to tighten things up. You already have had terror attacks and there will be more. Like it or not we are at war. Or at least they are at war with us and more will die unless we take some more harsh measure. Out lax leadership here now has put us in a bind. I pity who ever gets in office next as it will take them 8 years just to fix some of the damage. With all this mess I missed you post. I wholeheartedly agree... That we are at war...because these people want to kill us, and our way of life...and because some of us in North America are Christians... But Im afraid...its a war we may never be able to win...without committing similar atrocities towards them...while killing a few innocent people from their side of their religion along the way...because not all Muslims want us dead...but in order to eliminate the ones that do...our political leaders may have to resort to Stalin and Hitler and Saddam Hussein tactics of controlling human populations... Are we as a North American society able to accept ourselves after that? Because that Hyper, is what we have to do to survive this... All the great Empires of the past became great Empires because they were ruthless towards the conquered... They maintained those Empires by continuing to be ruthless. They lost their Empires because the new factions were MORE ruthless and so defeat was inevitable for the old guard... WE, during WW2, were just as ruthless towards the Nazis as the Nazis were towards the Jews and us...are we ready to go back to that? -

Blu you think that this does not involve ICE cars? Grown ass man you say? Coldwell, who spoke in Spanish through a translator, said wind power is the fastest growing energy source in Mexico. He spoke of the three countries' "common objectives" to offer competitive electricity rates from clean-energy sources supported by sustainable infrastructure. Sources told CBC News the emphasis going forward will be on a "low-carbon future" for North America. Finding that 'sweet spot' This essentially kickstarts the detailed, behind the scenes work needed for a continent-wide agreement that will enable all three countries to work together on clean energy and options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The North American nations have been working toward this since last May, when they set up a working group on continent-wide clean energy co-operation. There have also been clear signs it's a big priority under the new Liberal government that campaigned on the need for such a deal. Carr acknowledged that with more job losses on the horizon as oil and gas prices continue to plunge, the road ahead will not be an easy one. "Our challenge … is to use this very low spot in the commodity cycle to make transformational change; to find that sweet spot between resource development and environmental stewardship," Carr said on Friday. The briefing notes for the new minister of natural resources, acquired by CBC under Access to Information, refers to "repairing our relationship with our North American partners" on energy and environment. "A renewed memorandum of understanding could form the starting point for more far-reaching discussions on a continental clean energy agreement and climate change," the briefing notes say. It's also significant because for the first time since 2008, when the Keystone XL pipeline was proposed, the energy discussions between the U.S. and Canada are not dominated by pipelines. Green energy boom "It's the fact we are recognizing that our energy relationship is more than just oil, and there is more to the Canada-U.S. relationship than the Keystone pipeline," said Keith Stewart, head of Greenpeace Canada's climate and energy campaign. Stewart points out a type of green NAFTA is new territory for the three governments "This is the kind of thing that has been done on trade, it hasn't been done on climate change. If this is a first step in that direction, it's a good thing," Stewart told CBC News. Read between the lines.... Can you do that? Along with what happened in France before XMAS 2015... ICE cars are coming to an end...DEAL WITH IT!!! Dont ever buy an EV....just DEAL WITH IT!!! -

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-us-mexico-nafta-clean-energy-mou-1.3444675 Canada, the United States and Mexico have signed a trilateral agreement that could mark the start of discussions on the first North American accord on climate change and clean energy. Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr, U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz and Mexico's secretary of energy, Pedro Joaquín Coldwell, signed a memorandum of understanding on North American climate change and energy collaboration in Winnipeg on Friday. Pipeline projects face new regulations Climate change plan will take time Government, oil industry, finding consensus "As of today all of our North American energy data and energy maps are gathered on one platform for the first time. This is significant because it allows us to think about continental energy integration in a new light," Carr said Friday morning in Winnipeg. "This memorandum takes the important strides we've made in recent years towards a continental approach to energy and expands our relationship in support of an even more ambitious clean-energy environmental agreement." Moniz credited today's agreement to the "tremendous" change in the the energy scene in North America, the "revived relationship" between the three countries and "the change of government here in Canada." "The trilateral relationship certainly is not missing a beat," the U.S. energy secretary said on Friday. "If anything, I think it's accelerating even more with the very strong Canadian commitment in the areas of energy, environment and innovation." Coldwell, who spoke in Spanish through a translator, said wind power is the fastest growing energy source in Mexico. He spoke of the three countries' "common objectives" to offer competitive electricity rates from clean-energy sources supported by sustainable infrastructure. If this is a first step in that direction, it's a good thing," Stewart told CBC News. Clean energy groups predict today's agreement means the continent's industry is about to take off. "It shows how seriously our countries will be starting to take clean energy." said Clare Demerse, senior policy adviser with Clean Energy Canada. Demerse says it could create a bigger market for Canadian renewable energy. For example, the U.S. Clean Power Plan allows coal-burning states to import clean Canadian energy that has come online since 2012 to reduce their emissions. Despite a recent court-imposed delay, most environmentalists believe that plan will eventually proceed with a big demand for Canadian hydro, solar and wind power. There could also be a chance to develop a continent-wide infrastructure for electric cars. "All three countries manufacture cars, all three are thinking about the next generation of cars," Demerse said. "There is a lot they can do together to make sure, for example, you could drive an electric car anywhere on the continent and know you can charge it." Sources say the timing of today's announcement is not a coincidence. Domestic climate policy will reach a new chapter next month when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets with the premiers in Vancouver to talk about a national climate strategy. A week later, Trudeau heads to Washington for an official state dinner with U.S. President Barack Obama. Demerse thinks today's agreement puts the two countries back on the same page. "For years the American government has been trying to talk to Canada about clean energy and unfortunately they kept hearing back about pipelines," he said. "It was a bit of a dialogue of the deaf. "Now, we are finally catching up to where our allies are, and that will make the conversation and relationship a more effective one." The energy ministers met Thursday in Winnipeg ahead of the official signing Friday morning. -

What if??? EDIT... Mr Cubical has got you on one angle, Ive got you on another... You are probably gonna be hospitalized with a heart attack and ulcers before you would drain your battery on your EV the way you worry about...nothing. Skeeterbite, I am not the only one with these questions. They are legitimate. No they are not... The Bolt has a range of 200 miles... Like a car...the way you drive dictates your range... Sure...batteries are more fickle than black gold... but...there are solutions...in the very near future.... http://www.gizmag.com/uk-electric-highways-trial/38897/ wireless charging highways... I posted this before...but..some of you behave like little children and just ignore the reality of what is going on in the world regarding ELECTRIC SOLUTIONS... Dude...Canada-US-Mexico signed a clean energy deal today... Dude...before XMAS...in France...many countries are in agreement to ban ICE cars...TOYOTA themselves want to stop producing ICE cars by that time... All this is for 40-50-60years from now...I understand that...your argument is now...2016... Dude...many Quebecois have adopted Chevy the Volt, the Tesla Model S...and they have adapted quite well to it... YOU refuse to see the writing on the wall... I dont care what you do...just stop being childish in your thought process....or continue...but dont act like electric cars are dying...its the ICE cars that are dying a slow death... You are a grown CHILD... The link is above...signed today... Its nice of me to keep you current...yes pun intended. PS...I dont care if you want an electric car or not... Stop with the BULL$h! facts you like to spew about range anxiety and the like...in 2016...range anxiety is non-existent... Stop with the false information regarding electric vehicles... Dont ever buy one...just stop with the opinion based "facts" that you like to throw around... Stop going "LALALLALALA I CANT HEAR YOU!!!" like a child...and INFORM yourself...dont EVER buy en electric car...just be INFORMED! -

Cool. Why arent I excited for it? Leaving my hatred for this car company aside, I am quite capable of getting past that, somehow, I aint excited by it. I am quite happy that BMW finally engineered a "M" version of the 7 Series... Other than that...no emotions at all... I think its because it looks like crap on the outside.

Thanx Hyper for this post. I like to read your posts when your opinions are logical in this manner. This post gives people on both sides of the fence on Tesla, and EV cars in general, something to think about and ponder. Maybe it wont sway people to change their minds on whatever side they are on about Tesla or EV cars in general, but at least this post is as close to reality as it can get. -
I got into Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Johnny Cash too. Thanx to my dad as well. Like you! 1950s country and 1960s crooners was his style.

I agree, Olds. He was sulking.. it wasn't the "most professional" thing to do but it is far from even "bad" in my opinion. Childish..yeah..but is that any worse than what Bill Belichick does every week with the media? We're just used to seeing those pearly whites of Cam that anything that isn't super positive turns into super negative. I just think it's funny how the double standard of certain players can be so vibrant. I love Peyton and I'm glad he won and hopefully he walks away on top of the world and possibly the best qb to have ever played the game..but do find it worse to walk away without shaking hands than to be a child in front of some reporters. Let's be honest here, this is the first time in Cam's LIFE that he's ever lost something meaningful that he was supposed to win. He doesn't know how to lose yet. He has gotten WORLDS better than when he first came into the league because he was quite pissy after games then too but he's matured a lot and still has a lot to keep going. He's young and hopefully this loss teaches him some thing. Mainly, how to lose and how to win. He also has to earn how to win. I dont mean that he has to start winning. He has to learn to not gloat every time there is a touchdown made... Listen CCAP...like I said, all this is media fueled bullshyte. Yet, some of it, he has brought it on himself. I get that in football, in American football, it is quite the normal thing to showboat 1. when you sack the quarterback, 2. make a single touchdown...7 or 8 minutes into the FIRST QUARTER and the score in 7-0... 3. and then make another touchdown in the SECOND Quarter with another 3-4 minutes left before half-time and the score is now TIED... 4. make a catch that is an instant 1st down and maybe gain another yard before getting tackled and are at the 45 yard line...YOUR 45 yard line... get what it is Im trying to say... SHOWBOATING is getting really really tiring, and CAM seems to be thinking that he is still at the college level... Not that im against Cam...Im not... In my original post, I said that football players DONT sulk... They simply DONT... Football players are supposed to be the toughest, meanest SOB athletes on the planet... There are exemptions of course...rugby and Australian rules rugby players and Lacrosse players come to mind...but American Football players are supposed to be even tougher than HOCKEY guys... Yes, he shaked the hands of the players that defeated him...and THAT is why this is all media fueled BULLSHYTE... MY problem is that he sulked... I HATE the media for doing what they are doing... MY personal beef is that he sulked...I dont care if its the first time he lost... OK...cry at the press conference...answer the bloody questions like a man...dont be a man-child...a wussy and a p u s s y ... I would prefer if his character was more like Barry Bonds... Barry really did not give a phoque to what media and fans thought of him... He KNEW he was a GREAT player and THAT is all that mattered... He also knew that REAL fans ALSO knew he was a great player! Cam is a FANTASTIC player....his ATTITUDE on the filed sucks and now his attitude OFF the field too... What attitude? His demeanor and how HE reacts when HE makes a play and now how HE reacts how he loses... Example... One of the last plays he made before the Superbowl was over... After the snap, Cam has the ball, he turns to his right, and starts running to his right as he sees there is a bloody good chance he will get sacked...he leaves the pocket and finally releases the ball, to nowhere but he does get tackled...a fraction after he releases the ball, he hits his helmet where his ears are... like a child which is OK, but he also yells at the ref for not calling it roughing...by his gesture of hitting his helmet where his ears are...that looked to me that he is having a TANTRUM...like a child...then he yells at the ref...because he got tackled??? ITS FOOTBALL... PHOQUE the 5-10 yard penalty...get your ass ready for another snap and DO IT YOURSELF!!! FIND THE ENDZONE YOURSELF!!!! REAL CHAMPS FIND A WAY TO WIN!!! EXAMPLE: Tim Thomas...Boston Bruins goalie...the score is 4-0 for Boston...4-0 for Boston...he hits the Vancouver player so he could prevent the puck to fall unto that Vancouver player's stick so the score could STAY 4-0...risks a penalty...but its OK...the Vancouver player is on the ice...and did not score! Needless to say...the Bruins went on to win the Stanley Cup... What the Vancouver player should have done...is RUN Tim Thomas down...NOT the other way around... Why? He probably would have gotten a penalty...it does not matter, you JUST INTIMIDATED the BRUINS goalie in telling him...you may have won game 6...but game 7...your ass is mine... What Tim Thomas said to Sedin, by hitting him...was exactly that...we won game 6...and game 7 is MINE! Just a thought process I have for Cam Newton going forward. Yeah...he sure has to learn a lot. About the NFL... I love the NFL...I dont like the NFL culture...(im starting to not like the NFL as a league though) I dont like the NHL...as a league...very amateurish as compared to the MLB, NFL and NBA... But I LOVE the NHL culture... Showboating, it hardly exists...It exists only when it counts... And the players still have the option to police themselves... If an opposing coach/player does dumb, offensive, insulting, demeaning, excessive showboating...the league still tolerates fighting... So...what Cam or Ocho Cinco or anybody else does that rubs another opposing player the wrong way...in the NHL, fights still exists to which dumb gestures like that are kept at bay... OK...fighting is coming to an end too, but...at least the NHL culture does not breed dumb showboating at the same time...so there becomesa less and less need to fight...the players themselves respect the game and each other....something that the NFL sorely lacks...and hence the dumb media idiots that represent the NFL...

I always meant to reply to this and I never did... I had older parents. My dad was born in 1926 in Montreal and my mom in 1935. And my mom was born in Greece. So... By the time Rock-N-Roll came around, my dad was already at an age where that kind of music was simply just noise. He wasnt a rock-a-billy of any sorts. Sure, Goodness Gracious Great Balls Of Fire and We're Gonna Rock Around the Clock Tonight, We're Gonna Rock Rock Rock 'Til Broad Daylight, and See Ya Later Alligator were tunes that he did enjoy, 1950s Rock-N-Roll is where he drew the line. 1960s were just rebellious crap to him. My mom was born in Greece. She came to Canada in 1967. She met my dad the year after and got married that very same year. She brought Greek Music into the life of my dad. And, coincidentally, Greek music and Greek film was at an epic level at that point in time so that also helped my dad get re-acquainted with his ancestral culture. So...when I was born in 1973...obviously by that time, especially when I was a teenager in the 1980s, Rock was not exactly music that both welcomed with open arms in our home. Yeah, they let me listen to my music, but it was during my time. On car trips and such, it was Greek radio stations and the like. When I was in the car alone with my dad was the only time I listened to "English" music in the car... I always had a walkman...since the first ones that Sony introduced, and THAT is how I learned about music. Because just before falling asleep, I would listen to the radio on my Walkman with my ear phones being introduced to incredible sounds and music from all eras. Also baseball. I would listen to the Montreal Expos play on the radio. During the early 1980s, I was more of a baseball fan than I was a hockey fan. I loved hockey, I loved baseball even more. And my friends all had older brothers. Montreal was also a city that embraced on the radio waves all genres. Rock, Disco... I consider myself lucky as I got introduced to 1950s and 1960s and 1970s rock through that Walkman and my friends' brothers did the rest with late 1970s and 1980s music...disco and dance rock/pop of the 1980s included as well as Punk Rock and Hard Rock and what was called Heavy Metal then... And let us not forget the Greek music...my mom had vinyl LPs from the 1950s/1960s and 1970s that had all the great musical explosion and revolution of that Greek time period...I still have those LPs. As the years went by in the 1990s, and music, popular music over the radio waves got crappier and crappier, I found myself searching for more 1950s/1960s and 1970s sounds. And with the invention of the internet and Youtube....Im in heaven as I keep on discovering new OLD music from a time when music made came from the soul.

CCAP... Concerning Cam.. All media fueled bullshyte. There is only one thing I didnt like about Cam, he was sulking at that interview... He should have taken it like a professional football player, like a MEAN football player. The way he handled it he was more of a grade school girl. Football players are not supposed to sulk... What he should have done, is be more like baseball's Barry Bonds, the media hated him too, only because he was not soft with the media, and he didnt give a phoque... Cam was asked very dumb questions, just like Barry Bonds...Barry let the media know the questions were stupid... Barry also lost a championship, you should have heard how he handled the media... Sure, he faced scruntiny, what difference does that make? Cam also faced scrutiny and he handled that situation quite the opposite way of the way Barry handled it...so...'tis better to let the media have it rather than be soft...
