German study finds EVs are dirtier than diesel vehicles

Well, it's directly on Cadillac's website. I think we all have said their marketing team has been junk at GM for awhile now. A long while.

Hahaha That reminds me, I saw a local commercial and had to rewind it and pause it because it was a Ford commercial for a Ford ECHOSport. That's right. They typed EchoSport and not EcoSport. I'll see if I still have the picture on my phone.
-
Well no sh!t. The talk was about base engines though. A base engine at BMW is a legitimately quick car while the GM one is much less so, was the comparison.
-
I just hate the proportions on the XTS so damn much. I don't even consider that a vehicle. I don't care how great it might be. It's on top of my sh!t list with the Impala and MKT. ?

Yes, they are all still riding on sporty vehicles. The Alpha platform is world class and is sporty as hell. All they have to do is use their fancy magnet dampers that can adjust from firm to floppy in fractions of a second, perfect. It is also the same underpinnings as the V Series. Same sedan. Yea, they change components on the sedan but the same sedan is being used. Is an FRS/BRZ no longer sporty because it's slower than those listed above? Is straight line acceleration the only requirement for a sporty car? They seem to think it's pretty sporty.

I had one for 2 days getting some evap system warranty work done on my MKC two weeks ago and it was pretty loaded. SES, AWD.. It was neat some of the features it had(which it should for being loaded) but everything about it just felt pretty cheap and chintzy. 2.0 engine had no balls, as expected and the steering feel was really weird. It just didn't feel right. It felt extremely artificial.

It is overused but an Alpha chassis sedan is pretty much the definition of a sport sedan.

I've been on board with a lot of what Hyundai has done recently but I do not like the grille on this along with those grey lower front fascia inserts. I also am not a fan of whatever situation is going on inside the headlight housing. The rear looks really sharp, the interior looks "okay". That 1990's shifter area looks pretty rough but other than that it looks class competitive. I also really like the piping on the seats.

Yep. Be Lincoln. Don't try and be anybody else. They're known for big and luxurious.

Agreed. I think they should keep two cars around and have them both large. I'd step up the Continental to something even larger like the original continentals were, HUGE. Make it S- Class-sized. Then make the MKZ even larger but not quite as large as the current Continental, for obvious spacing/pricing reasons. Obviously, this is easy so say knowing nothing about the platforms' flexibility. Maybe a 3rd car.. Mustang variant.. Or the big Conti with a Mustang variant for only two cars.

I heard something about this just the other day. I'll have to find it.. That is, if it isn't canceled because the Fusion is canceled.

Ohhhhh okay, I forgot it was new in 2015 and refreshed in 2019. For some reason I was thinking this refresh was all-new. Thanks! Yeah, I screwed that up. Thanks!

In 2018, Chevy sold 7,572 more Vettes than CTS, fwiw. So you're really going to try and say the CTS/CT5 is not a sport sedan outside of V trim?
-
The difference is one is legitimately quick and can be enjoyed more so as a sports sedan with its base engine and the other much less so. That's a significant difference.

For obvious reasons, I'm a pretty big fan of this. The slightly larger footprint and space would be welcoming. I haven't come across needing additional space yet but I know there will be a time. I like the integrated infotainment screen on the current gen more but that's about it. Everything else looks pretty awesome. Plus, that blue/teal leather looks freakin' hot. I don't think there has been a new vehicle in which you did not say the dash was dated. Probably a bit of time as the Edge was all new for 2019, right? It did already get the new body panels to look like the Continental, Navigator, Aviator, and Corsair/MKC(MKC got a facelift last year to the new styling).

Great write-up. I was in the back seat of the last gen F150 and couldn't believe how large the back seats were then. I assume the current gen of all of them is even larger, which is nuts. I think this engine is getting a little sh!t just because of its size just like the original 3.5EB did. I think it will be just fine and specs-wise, it's positioned well above where V8 truck engines were not all that long ago.. 15 years? 2004 6.0 made 300hp/360tq. That was the top engine. This is supposedly a replacement for the BASE engine. Other than the chrome bumper, that pictured truck looks pretty good. The Silverado styling has grown on me. While I don't think it looks as good as a '19 Ram or F150, it no longer looks quite like the dumpster fire that it originally did to me. This MSRP'd for 48k, what were they actually selling it for? I have to believe it was 40k, give or take.

This engine needs to be spread out ASAP. I think it would do great in everything you listed. What review was that? Do you have a link? i have a buddy who might be looking at a new Trail Boss crew cab but it has the 4.3(seems like an odd combo) but he's a little hesitant because of how poorly rated the 4.3 is. I think on the dealer's website they stated like 14/18.. I thought it was better than that but I didn't look into it at the time. It seems like a great price as long as you're okay with the 4.3. https://www.elcochevrolet.com/VehicleDetails/new-2019-Chevrolet-Silverado_1500-Crew_Cab_Short_Box_4_Wheel_Drive_Custom_Trail_Boss-Ballwin-MO/3383594903

420hp! That's one little rocket of a car. https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/new-york-auto-show/a27192602/2020-mercedes-amg-a45-engine-most-powerful-four-cylinder/
