  1. I don't mind them. They so look a little awkward but they don't look any more awkward than the two stalks already sticking out for the blinkers and wipers. Plus, if they didn't then people would likely complain about cluttered buttons being elsewhere or having to use the infotainment screen to figure out how to change those settings. I don't think the look is perfect but I think having them located there is pretty nice.
  2. I actually don't think it looks that bad. It looks more like a lifted hatchback and less like a bubble. Not by a whole lot, but by a little. It's difficult to see w/o zooming in more but it looks like they're or traction settings and drive modes.
  3. That's what I gathered as well. Thanks ya!
  4. This reminded me.. i was watching a couple of (the hated) Doug Demuro videos the other day while putting in some cardio at the gym and it was a new NSX and I think(not sure bout this second vehicle) a Bentley Continental SuperSports that had the slider bullsht for the volume adjustment. Buttons on other things but for volume you have to slide your finger.. hell no. That kind of "button" works much better in just a simple "touch" format like the Caddy's. I am glad Caddy is moving away from them. i didn't find them all that difficult to use myself but between other people have issues and still preferring an actual button.. Smart more. This is the NSX volume adjustment I was talking about. It's difficult to see here but it's on the left side of the scree and you can see the little +/- over there. That's gotta be tough to work, especially in a sportier car where the ride is stiffer and you feel more bumps.
  5. There's no way that's a GLB. I assume "B" means it's small and look how wide that center console area is. That's gotta be GLEish sized with how wide it is. then again, what is comparable size-wise to a "GLB"? After looking it up, it's supposed to be like a baby G Wagen..? Is there anything Mercedes HASN'T DONE FIRST(in his eyes)?
  6. Sorry things get shuffled to the bottom over the weekend for me(when I'm not on here). I'll give'r a run!

    EV trucks/ SUVs

It took how long to get chargers as widespread as they are now, how long until these super duper fast chargers are widespread enough to make a difference? Another 5-10 years? So the vehicle would be less efficient needing more charge time.. Going 55mph should have yielded them pretty close to ideal highway range. I'd up that to 95% of people with a 2-300 mile range. Very. VERY, few people actually need more than that daily Or are towing that much for their personal selves.
  8. I think this is my list.. 2003-04 Cobra WS6 Trans AM E90 335i MK6 Golf R Wildcard is a C5Z to replace the WS6..
  9. My own money.. What do 90's muscle cars cost?!?
  10. Funny Story, The two Santa Fe Sports that Motor Trend tested were the base model and FWD(184hp) and the fully loaded one (240hp/260tq) and AWD and the 184hp one edged it in acceleration. I'd probably safe to assume the additional 500lbs and larger wheels did it in bu it's crazy how much weight can negatively effect the performance of a vehicle.
  11. Nahhh that's more like a n/a ratio of hp:tq. I'd bet it's like most of its competition's 2.0T's in that it'll have 232+tq FWIW, the current 2.0T in the Santa Fe Sport puts out 240hp and 260tq. I know that doesn't mean it will be that same engine or output but I don't think it would be a weak sauce engine as the middle engine in the lineup.
  12. People will drive Demons on the street too but we know the full intent of the vehicle. I mean I understand what you're saying, they WILL get street time along with track time, but a car built like this has less concerns about how well it drives on the street than a race track.
  13. I'd consider 1240sqft on the wee side of things. It's not actually small but its definitely on the small side, imo.
  14. That's because it is a small dollar stock. You have to buy a decent quantity to get a good amount. But the same can be said for other higher yield stocks. If one buys $500 in Ford vs $500 in Pepsi, Ford pays a higher dividend(all assuming the price stays the same, etc. etc.).
  15. Yeah, they put lights and corner markers because they had to, just like the GT. You know damn well this car was designed for track use. I'm not sure why there's a dispute.
  16. Yeah, I would wage good money most people buying this car will be trailering it to and from the track. Just because it will be driven on public roads doesn't mean it was designed for public roads. Yeah, I brought up pushrods as they're the only thing comparable to the low end tq that dfelt was referring to. I didn't bring up 70's Pontiacs as they're irrelevant to the discussion. YUP. You better be buying The General so you can have your low end tq for the race tracks!
  17. That is AWESOME. We need to capitalize on this technology, asap.
  18. When you're on a race track, because the topic of the 488 Pista is a track car, how often are you starting from 0mph to feel that shove that you keep talking about? I think the whole race track part is what you're missing here. As a street car, I absolutely agree 100%. You want all sorts of low-mid range tq because that's what you actually use. When you're on a race track you'll be lucky to find a corner that you drop below 4-5000rpm(in a car that revs to the sky like the 488 Pista - 7500rpm is what the regular 488 redlines at).
  19. Oh absolutely, not doubting that one bit. Our country and therefore global economy would have been completely f@#ked had they all just folded. They might be in a better financial spot or they might not have been in a better financial spot by taking all of the loans. We will never really know the unmeasurables like people that have turned to them because they don't want to support a company who our tax dollars had to bail them out of. They actually pay a pretty good dividend percent-wise.
  20. Good looking vehicle outside of that chrome bar going below the hood and under the lights. That looks a little awkward to me. That diesel engine would probably be pretty awesome to own. 200/320: pretty stout numbers.
  21. NASCAR still uses 4 spd transmissions and they NEED a broad torque curve because the gears are so long. With their oval-style racing they also have no need for a modern transmission as 95% of the tracks they just get to 4th and leave it. i do think they'll run up to 9500rpm on certain tracks. That's one screamin' push rod! I guess I don't understand what you mean by when you're in triple digits it'll give you the extra push? Your foot is on the floor and you're shifting no less than redline so a broad torque curve doesn't really mean anything at that point. GT350R vs Z/28 is a decent comparison. Z/28 vs GT350R " From four to eight, this engine pours on the torque, but it’s rather lazy below that, in stark contrast to the LS7. But on this track, I’m never down there, so who cares? "
  22. Is that why most track cars aren't pushrod engines? Why would you need anything below 5000rpm in a car like this? It probably redlines at like 9000rpm so this lack of low end torque is meaningless in this application anyway.
  23. It would have made business sense but it would have pissed off millions and f@#ked over millions. I think them not going belly up like their fellow Americans has helped them out with the public. I know my dad will never buy a GM vehicle again and their last two purchases were a Tacoma and a Fusion. The Taco would have been a Ranger but, you guessed it, they didn't make one in 2013. My dad isn't the only person like that.
  24. I'd agree with most of those male buyers. The only cars on that list that I would never in my life consider are the 918 Spyder and i8. Everything else seems either more masculine(trucks) or very enthusiast-based. But boy-oh-boy look at all of those CUVs on the female list. There is the answer as to why their sales are through the roof the past handful of years.
