    I think this idea is more for people who feel like they need a vehicle but realistically might leave it parked for a week to a month at a time. That's my best guess because what you said would make it a no-go for me right off the bat.

    lol wow. I never really realized that until right now. The ATS has 3 interior options.. Basically all black. These are your options in your 70k compact ATS Coupe.

    Raise of hands who here didn't see this line coming? Their interior measurements are almost identical. But the GM always happens to just be roomier..

    Does Cadillac offer a hybrid powertrain in either of those cars? I would have thought you would have went bonkers over that aspect. It truly is an elegant vehicle. The lines and curves they did to this are a thing of beauty in a world of very similarly shaped vehicles.

    This interior probably looks incredible in person. I think I'd want it on a white or silver car.

    This is not in the same league as an ATS. If you're going to drill down the "value" aspect the ATS-V Coupe is an absolute waste when they have a Camaro SS under the same roof for 40k, 50k fully loaded and ready to race. The Lexus is a grand tourer, not a race car. I think you're missing that part. It's similar to an SL Mercedes.

    Even if they did do it just to save a few bucks, so what? Nobody will miss it and nobody would have even known had one random person decided to write about it. There are so many variables in producing and selling cars that a couple bucks is actually a lot to save on one single thing like this. Granted, it's more like $0.30 but still.

    Ehhhh I don't think it HAS to be ICE powered and depending on how long of a break VW is taking from it will be more telling if it will come back as an ICE or not.

    It's kind of sad because it's probably one of the(if not THE) most iconic branded vehicles out there. Everybody and their brother knows what a VW Beetle is. I don't see if going away forever though. Maybe a little vacation to brew up some more demand then plop it down on the next Golf platform again, whenever that is.

    It's previous gen vs new gen, I think. I think it might have been pre-diesel exhaust fluid vs diesel exhaust fluid.

    It was never an issue for him because it is an EV but if it had a Mercedes logo on the front it would have immediately shrunk in size and he never would have fit a single leg in it.

    There's gotta be a lot of demand for a 2-seat EV right now.. Probably because there is more and more internet ordering instead of people going to stores. So while small mail is probably down(because what you said) larger packages is probably up a lot over the past 10-15 years. Probably way more than they were prepared for.

    Yeah it seems the more and more I see the new Equinox the less I like the looks of it.. Most new things I see I don't like initially and the look grows on me. Not so much with the Equinox.

    No I understood it. They're continuing to use the "old" engine instead of the one in the 2500/3500's and with that they don't have the stricter emissions requirements as it's pretty much commercial use only where there are less regulations.. why not use the more powerful and cleaner engine they have available? I know you're an advocate of cleaner vehicles and I'd think you'd want the cleaner option as well.

    Why would they use a detuned, less clean, version of an engine they already have? Wouldn't the extra power benefit these trucks way more than Average Dave hauling himself and his wife around in an empty-bed 3500HD?

    You literally cannot fit into a C Class Mercedes(your words paraphrased) but you can fit in a VW Bug. GTFO.. "I could get into and out of it compared to the MB and that is a shame considering I am 100% German and a German car company cannot seem to make a car to fit me."

    AMG GT is its own thing. It was never a tweaked version of anything else they make and I'm pretty sure this, much uglier, version is of the same.

    It looks bloated like the Panamera to me.. Not as huge fan. I'd prefer a CLS based on looks.

    I'm not disputing them manufacturing their vehicles here at all. It's good for our economy for them to build here and export rather than import them everything. You just don't have any factual numbers on what percentage of leased vehicles are returned and shipped outside of the US.
