  1. Why? What reason is there for it to change? Because it sells plenty at 120k starting price? AMG GT is their flagship vehicle. YES. If they built that exact thing people would complain they build something with 10 inch windows and horrible blind spots with tires that stick out too far. Oh, and that it looks like sh!t.
  2. Nothing about that bubbly concept is attractive. It also looks 2 lanes wide. I think their 6X6 and G500(squared) in neon yellow did the trick.
  3. It's still a really different thing to be hollowed out. Probably helps with engine efficiency a decent amount having to spin less weight.
  4. i think they're just too small. I mean a Escape-sizes vehicle could do the same job and is likely similarly priced(because trucks are expensive).
  5. Those corner areas just look like trash to me.. Some pics they don't look as bad as others but my god it doesn't look very good.
  6. The body color and Rebel look soooo much better than the original showing of that silver and chrome.
  7. Ehhh a modern turbo 4 can easily do the job and with much better torque output. I agree they should probably have one for those who feel it is necessary but I don't think they need to offer one. Noooooo no n/a 4 banger in a tiny truck. Even those would likely weigh in the ballpark of 3500lbs with all the modern safety tech and I know what it's like driving a n/a 4 cylinder. It's "okay" but I wouldn't want that in anything that I carry weight around regularly. Also, 500lbs payload is almost literally 2 Americans, LOL. The 1000lbs is more what one would need.
  8. I think it looks good. I was afraid it would have looked like the international version which I don't think looks good. Even though it is only a small change the bumpers made a huge difference. i wonder what it would cost to lease something with the FX4 package because it looks sweet. I'm still not sure if it looks any better than the Tacoma but it easily looks better than a Colorado. The Colorado just looks too soft. If I got one of those twins I'd have to go with the Canyon for its boxier/tougher looks.
  9. You want a smaller truck and a V6. Those things do not go hand in hand. If it was even smaller it would have been a guarantee a year ago it would have been a 4 banger only.
  10. It only "starts" there if you qualify for the full 7500 federal credit and include your "estimated gas savings". Then add in the $1200 destination fee. Do you include final price for all EV's with the "potential gas savings"?
  11. That's a very good way to put it. For some reason this sentence opened it up for me. Agreed but I feel like that's been forced by trying to improve fuel economy numbers. ..Pretty much what Drew said.
  12. I like it. Especially because most of the time I'm on here it's a minimized window in the background and the scroll bar downsizes to the size of my browser so I can still scroll without having to enlarge the browser size. i hate sites like that.
  13. Enjoy it before the storm. It's cold as F now.
  14. Exactly, its still an entire package deal.
  15. I didn't say I didn't see a difference in them. I do, but I don't see value in a roof line that could possible by worth 5 times as much as most other roof lines.
  16. Panthera Metal looks pretty good.
  17. Just hearing about a markup is annoying though. I don't feel like there is a big enough hardcore Kia fanbase willing to pay a premium for them. I hope that doesn't discourage people from buying them down the road. I also wouldn't want that red.. not a pretty shade, imo. I just looked on Autotrader and within 300 miles of me there are ONLY blue ones available..WTF?
  18. IMO, just looking at roof lines nothing looks 5 times more expensive than something else. I mean I guess it could be argued a little box like a Spark vs the elegance of a CLS.. but "for the most part" no roof lines says "I'm worth 5 times as much".
  19. Every single manufacturer markets crap like that. It is still the "affordable Tesla". Seems pretty obvious that those people weren't in line for the 35k one if they were originally planing to buy, at minimum, a 74k Model S. Are most cars bought at the bare bones base model at the least possible price or are there more LS, LT, and Premier Malibus running around? Or are most of them base model, "L" trims? Same with trucks(excluding work trucks for obvious reasons) there are easily more LT and up trim trucks out there than LS. No way were 75% of these buyers planning to spend 35k before tax incetive. I'd bet most planned to spend 35k AFTER tax incentive. I just hope enough sell to have a good used market to choose from.
  20. Yeah between that and not everybody being sold on small turbo engines I think it's nice to keep a n/a v6 in the mix. The 4 bangers just don't get the real world fuel economy that they're "supposed to" get.
  21. I think the 2.0T has been standard since 2015. They don't really need anything between 250hp , 280hp and 315hp. Unless you're thinking of replacing the 3.5L engine with the 2.3L?
  22. None of those other cars only other siblings are 100k cars(or starting in the 70's like the Model S). We also have no clue how many of those pre-orders were based on $27,500. Maybe 1%, maybe 99%. It was marketed as the "affordable Tesla", if I remember correctly.
  23. Exactly... there's nothing wrong with it. It's looks are subjective but the performance of the 3.3T speak for itself. Plus, the inside looks fantastic, if you ask me. I like the ATS but i think if I had 40k to spend on one of them I'd get the Stinger GT. The "base" GT plus AWD is $41,xxx. LED headlights, Brembo brakes, limited slip diff(on the RWD one), etc... I'd take that for 40k. That markup is a joke though. Give it a few months of slow sales and that will become a discount, hahaha.
