Based on, your opinion? Because last I knew they were selling about as quick as dealers could get their hands on them. The one I posed about earlier was sold in 2 or 3 days from delivery. If adding options from the base model means there is a pricing issue then every vehicle has pricing issues because models get updated with more and more base features every year. Lol, well, looks like you took this out of Camaro and GT350 talk or even talking about cars. Well done. I have talked to both of the Ford guys via PM to knock it off in the past. But that is nothing that needs to be discussed in this thread, If you're that concerned about that you can PM me instead of botching the rest of the thread up with getting over personal for no reason. If you honest to goodness think all that goes into making a car great is performance numbers then you're not a car guy, you're a tech guy. That's fine, it really is. You are emphasizing engine noise and "feel". What's makes you anymore of an enthusiast when you are only looking at one aspect as well? I never said I was dismissing any aspect of either car. I also have not brought up engine tone, sound, volume, or noise into this thread. I have not made one comment on the sound of said engine in this thread. So I have yet so even put ANY emphasis on "noise". Suave put it perfectly, "All I'm saying is that sports cars are not just about the numbers, despite how we're led to believe. They're also about the experience." Nothing about that dismissed anything about either car but said that a car is more than just numbers, more than just feel, it is the entire package that makes a great car a great car. Bong has thrown all the eggs in the numbers basket saying the 1LE will be "put the Shelby on the trailer." and that "Well, we already know the stock SS will get to 60 quicker than a GT350." Ignorant is measuring the greatness of a car from purely performance numbers, a la Bong. "Everybody" loves Miatas and GTIs for a reason, and it sure as heck isn't because they run low 11's in the 1/4 from the factory, sure as heck isn't because they have a howlin' V8 under the hood but because they give the driver an experience they cannot get in almost any other car. There's a good chance it's that. Are they slow? No. So performance numbers mean SOMETHING as well. Neither can be completely dismissed.

It is definitely the only Toyota product I would consider right now. But I would seriously consider it if it made any logical sense for me to own a truck.

You also think this is the 'top dog' Mustang? There are rumors like there are for the Camaro ZL1 about a GT500. The term "feel" is something that goes hand in hand with a true driver's car. It takes some of the electronic-ness and new gadgets out of the equation(like the Z/28 did) and give you a car that is designed for one thing, gettin' after it. Yes, the Corvette is the better cruiser with more amenities and probably a plusher ride(while still being able to out pace the GT350 around a road course) but that doesn't mean it is truly a better driver's car. Like the Camaro took down cars that were faster than it, the GT350 is doing the same exact thing. But, then there are people who try and push agendas like they're getting paid for it and try and dismiss great cars it is just childish and ignorant because their own brand of choice did a similar car just 2 years ago that was even more pricey, but no less a great freakin' car. It's just bad when one company does it and not the other. GT350 is a mistake, Z/28 was great. *rolls eyes* Also, dismissing "feel" is sad.. That is what makes the Miata a great car, Lotus great cars, Porsche Caymans were underpowered for a long time but they were great cars, The GTI is underpowered for its class but it has great "feel", great car. Heck 80's(I think) Corvettes were ungodly slow but people still loved them and they were still very good cars for their era.

It didn't beat it in performance measurements though. 0-60, 60-0, 1/4 mile, skid pad, etc... Which is all Bong cares about. I did find it interesting that they tied to 150mph @ 22.1 seconds. I assume it has to do with the shift points of each car. The Vette may have just shifted while the GT350 hadn't..because that sky-high red line.

I corrected that for you Suav But you are correct. Sometimes there are cars that are just special and numbers don't tell the whole story. For example, the Miata. That's another car that the numbers don't tell the whole story yet it is a great car and everybody that drives them seems to love them.

Uh oh... another 200mph claim.. Let's see if it can do it! In all seriousness, I love this car. The Type-R on "the juice" is exactly what the doctor ordered. Gorgeous car(coupe only!) + Nasty exhaust = winner in my books.

I applaud any price drop. I love seeing a company pass the savings on to the customer. They already had people paying the $1,900+ per vehicle before so to drop the price and pass their savings on is awesome.

You already have that answer. It's a freaking got dang global car for f's sake. You are as stubborn and blind as Wings was at times. You both compare Ford and GM like your own preference is God and everything else is junk, old, misplaced, poorly executed, and overpriced. Mopar does not have better RWD applications than Ford. Mopar's RWD vehicles are 10 years old. And they have as many chassis as Ford, 1. Charger/Challenger/300.

Congrats on the purchase! I've actually always liked that gen Liberty. A good friend of mine bought one 5 or so years ago. He only had it for maybe 6 months though. I don't think anything was wrong with it as much as he wanted a truck and ended up buying a newer Ram 1500. Either way the second gen Liberty looks WAAAAAAY better than the first gen. I dig the boxy look. Mind if I ask what you ended up paying for the ole girl with 53k miles and 3.7L engine? Also, not trying to bash your purchase in any way but how is that 3.7? I just looked up the numbers on it and 210hp out of a 3.7 sounds a little weak? Does it feel better than the numbers? I mean it isn't like 200hp is weak for a smaller SUV it just seems weak for the engine displacement.

It'd be nice to put into almost any vehicle. Sounds like a great powertrain. What would be ideal would be to allow others to use it and also further develop the system which would be shared back to GM. That way it would benefit all parties. Just like one big Volt powertrain orgy.

What constitutes as under or over priced? A base GT350 is what 50k? You get a completely redone suspension, the whole front end body work is different, obviously the engine is an exotic, and a transmission to match. It isn't like it is a GT with a 5.2 slapped under the hood. It's basically a different car because the GT is much softer designed to sell to a broader spectrum of people. The biggest difference between the 1LE and GT350 is the engine, and bodywork. Both have redone suspensions to make them more track capable.

Whenever I do the "Build & Price" thing I always forget about incentives/rebates that can be offered at times of purchase. I'll go ahead and build something relatively out of my price range just to see how much it would cost for exactly what I want.. but I could save thousands if timed right and visit an actual dealer. For instance, the whole F150 with the sport/chrome package, XLT, 2.7, and extended cab or something like that had wicked rebated at one point. Something like 7500-8500 off..

That's just freakin' awesome! Is it just me ooooorrrrr as I watch those videos I'm always just waiting to see a shift(vehicle buck up and down) like a "normal" car??? Usually you can visually see the shift points on cars and as I watch these my instincts are waiting for a shift and, obviously, they don't happen. These cars are just crazy. It boggles my mind how people(on here) can dislike them so much when they're doing such amazing things.
