  1. And Tesla only makes the battery. Where the hell does SMK think all those other electrical components, like that giant tablet in the dash, comes from? The Tesla fairy? No. It comes from China.
  2. Where do you come up with these asinine comparison. That 2016 Envision you speak of was a damn near loaded model and they said, from the get go, that the lower trim model would be introduced later. The fact that was a little higher then a base Enclave is 100% irrelevant based on that simple fact. Hell, a CLA can sot quite a bit more than a Class, in certain trims so unless you really want to go there, you need to just come up with a better argument. Oh, and with a $40K+ price difference, one would expect a 3 to not cost anywhere near an S, so a little $3K difference in the first year Envison is not a big deal and not comparable to what we were discussing regarding the 3. Fact is that they have said that it will be $35K when it is looking more and more likely that it will start out higher than that. What do you not understand about that? And yet their ONE EV outsells all Benz EV models but I don’t hear talk of Tesla being able to take over them now do I? Everything you have spoken about GM and Ford is pure hyperbole and just pure hypothetical mumbo jumbo. You literally know not one damn thing about how they operate or plan to operate in the future. Man, your GM trolling is old, tiring, and just a simple load of BS.
  3. Except the 3 will not start at that price at all while the XT5 DOES start at $39K. That’s what they’ve been saying so big difference in your apples to oranges comparison. The 3 is also competing with a car that is $35K further making your XT5 reference completely irrelevant.
  4. Well since we don’t use imaginary crystal balls to assume profit on a yet to be produced product, all we have is the present and at present, Tesla has not made a profit. Also, like others have pointed out, this pretty much solidifies the fact that the 3 is going to be priced higher than originally advertised.
  5. Yet Tesla’s profits have been what since their inception? That’s a trick question btw as they have not yet made a profit worth noting.
  6. IN fairness, not many people will opt for a Rio with no power windows. They are using the same formula that Nissan did when the Versa first out and what Mitsubishi did with the Mirage. Put out stripper models at basement prices but good luck actually finding one. May bet is that most Rios you will see were no where near $15K. Notice how fast that price creeps up when you get beyond the LX model.
  7. If you don’t understand what I am saying, that is your affliction. You’re the one who has a problem with certain opinions and that is what I do not care about. It doesn’t mean that I am going to stop just because of said problem. Understand now? And you’re the one who said that you were done yet here you are. So you’re not done? You’re half way done? All the way done? Just trying to figure out what is going on here lol.
  8. Understanding context is the key here. I don’t care about your FCA feelings and how you feel about my criticisms for reasons already stated. It doesn’t mean that I’m going to stop just because of those feelings. Big difference there. Remember, in all of this, you started the rebate argument with your very first post. Oh and I thought you were done?
  9. No I do not. Again, it is only what you perceive but since we are being completely honest, I really don’t give two $h!s what you think. What you call “doom and gloom”, I call reality and facts. I have backed them up too even when you couldn’t. Sorry but if you want positive spin on every FCA product, then I suggest going to an FCA forum. Here, we discuss all cars, good and bad. Get the f@#k over it.
  10. There is no winning with you but I’m not here to validate your delicate feelings where FCA is concerned. I have hit hard on GM and everyone else when applicable. It just happens that I feel that FCA is in trouble more so than the others. I also notice that you never had a problem when I criticized, Ford, or Benz, or countless others. It’s only FCA that you see a problem here. Well, if that is how you feel, then there is no hope for you here but I’m not about to change just because you perceive a problem that doesn’t really exist.
  11. Two GMs in the top 40 to countless FCA models. Yeah, completely the same there, like your incentive claim lol. I stated facts that you just happen to not agree with because of your FCA blinders. Also, I would have made that GC remark to anyone. I don’t give two $h!s who said unlike yourself, hence your trying to single me out here. Again, I have posted only easily referenced facts and links. Dispute it all you want. I simply don’t give a $h! because you will always ignore it and claim someone is just attacking FCA. Pathetically childish.
  12. Get over yourself. I have defended them when necessary (like my counter to SMKs Jeep GC Trackhawk not having a worthy interior. Refer to the Cayenne article if you doubt it) but of course you see only what you want to see. Guess my eight trouble free years of owning a Dodge Magnum makes me a big ole hater. Seriously, think about that for more than a minute and also think about the fact that you equally rag on Ford and GM so don’t forget to look in the mirror he next time you want to make another “he’s just hating on Chrysler” accusation.
  13. So did I and you made excuses for why you were wrong, ie the age of the Challenger. There are plenty of articles showing how GM has a below industry average incentive rate while Ford and FCA are above the average. Feel free to look that up sometime.
  14. And here it is. He will dismiss it of course because it’s “so last month” lol but FCA (and Ford) are well represented here. http://www.realcartips.com/news/0743-biggest-car-rebates.shtml
  15. Me stooping to dealer websites? You’re the one who brought up regional deals. Well, here you go. And my argument has plenty of steam. You made the claim that GM deals were equal or higher and you were proven wrong.
  16. Oh stop it. You brought rebates and yes GM is offering them but on the average, FCA is clearing heir rebate hurdle by leaps and bounds. As far as my link, it doesn’t matter because you didn’t believe it then and even if I posted today’s numbers, you would still make excuses like you are doing right now. However, since you wanted to bring up regional deals, here’s one for you. 20% off of a new Charger SE.
  17. Buzz! Wrong answer. You clearly stated manufacturer numbers and they are not equal. Dodge is offering higher rebates and it’s age reflects that. Sorry but you wanted to go there about rebates and were wrong hence your excuses for it’s age. Your point was not proven at all. You said GMs were equal or higher. They are neither. Oh and neither site asked for my zip code so you are wrong on that as well.
  18. Straight from their respective websites. The Challenger cash allowance goes up to $2750 when you opt for the V8. The Camaro is the same across the board. Feel free to argue the very facts that you pointed out @Stew and explain why you were wrong to claim GMs incentives were higher when they are not.
  19. You know good and damn well he has not sat in one. He only makes the comment he did because the S Class was called out for the truth. In no way was Biermann trying to directly compare the two. He is spot on with the nanny features that push car prices into another level of financial retardedness. You can have luxury without the many gadgets and if you need stupid $h! like autonomous driving and self parking, then what you need is a limo driver because clearly you are too self absorbed or too busy texting on your phone to be bothered with actually driving.
  20. Then post them for all to see. I posted mine a few weeks ago and you went into denial about it. Think about it. How is it that the Challenger, which again I love, goes from a perennial third place sales position for years to all of a sudden, a marked increase while offering only modest changes compared to the competition? Higher incentives and rebates. These are simply facts you cannot deny.
