Get over yourself. I have defended them when necessary (like my counter to SMKs Jeep GC Trackhawk not having a worthy interior. Refer to the Cayenne article if you doubt it) but of course you see only what you want to see. Guess my eight trouble free years of owning a Dodge Magnum makes me a big ole hater. Seriously, think about that for more than a minute and also think about the fact that you equally rag on Ford and GM so don’t forget to look in the mirror he next time you want to make another “he’s just hating on Chrysler” accusation.

So did I and you made excuses for why you were wrong, ie the age of the Challenger. There are plenty of articles showing how GM has a below industry average incentive rate while Ford and FCA are above the average. Feel free to look that up sometime.

And here it is. He will dismiss it of course because it’s “so last month” lol but FCA (and Ford) are well represented here. http://www.realcartips.com/news/0743-biggest-car-rebates.shtml

Me stooping to dealer websites? You’re the one who brought up regional deals. Well, here you go. And my argument has plenty of steam. You made the claim that GM deals were equal or higher and you were proven wrong.

Oh stop it. You brought rebates and yes GM is offering them but on the average, FCA is clearing heir rebate hurdle by leaps and bounds. As far as my link, it doesn’t matter because you didn’t believe it then and even if I posted today’s numbers, you would still make excuses like you are doing right now. However, since you wanted to bring up regional deals, here’s one for you. 20% off of a new Charger SE.

Buzz! Wrong answer. You clearly stated manufacturer numbers and they are not equal. Dodge is offering higher rebates and it’s age reflects that. Sorry but you wanted to go there about rebates and were wrong hence your excuses for it’s age. Your point was not proven at all. You said GMs were equal or higher. They are neither. Oh and neither site asked for my zip code so you are wrong on that as well.

Straight from their respective websites. The Challenger cash allowance goes up to $2750 when you opt for the V8. The Camaro is the same across the board. Feel free to argue the very facts that you pointed out @Stew and explain why you were wrong to claim GMs incentives were higher when they are not.

You know good and damn well he has not sat in one. He only makes the comment he did because the S Class was called out for the truth. In no way was Biermann trying to directly compare the two. He is spot on with the nanny features that push car prices into another level of financial retardedness. You can have luxury without the many gadgets and if you need stupid $h! like autonomous driving and self parking, then what you need is a limo driver because clearly you are too self absorbed or too busy texting on your phone to be bothered with actually driving.

In my case, I posted the source weeks ago on another thread but you are very correct sir.

Then post them for all to see. I posted mine a few weeks ago and you went into denial about it. Think about it. How is it that the Challenger, which again I love, goes from a perennial third place sales position for years to all of a sudden, a marked increase while offering only modest changes compared to the competition? Higher incentives and rebates. These are simply facts you cannot deny.

And my information came from an unbiased third party source for manufacturer discounts only and FCA was tops overall. Yours were dealer rebates, hence my point of distinction so if you have a problem with the unbiased facts....

It’s rebates. Got a problem with that so much that you have to bring it up? Sounds like the truth bothers you regarding the rebate leader FCA (and again that is based on factual manufacturer data and not typical bait and switch dealer rebate ads). And before you even go there, I have made it known many times that I would take a Challenger over a Camaro or Mustang any day of the week so you please just hold on to that GM bias card for now.

Genesis News: Genesis G70 is Korea's 3-Series Challenger
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Genesis
I’m sorry but did he just compare the ride of two cars, that have been complimented for their rides, to a 4 decade old box on wheels? Seriously? Is he just arguing to argue? I fail to see a real point here otherwise. EXACTLY!! Not one of those drivers around here take those off road, not one! Now, I know there will be the “well most SUV drivers don’t go off road”. Well, they are idiots for it since that is one of its primary functions. Don’t opt for a Wrangler when an Edge will do. The G Wagon is a massive rip off made for elitist suckers, end of damn discussion. Hell, I’ve moved furniture in my dinky ass RAV4 and didn’t have to pay $140K for it. -

It is also an outdated $h! of a deal (and proving there are suckers everywhere) when you can pick up a two year G for about half the price of a new one. Barnum was truly right. -
Yeah, after a little research I realize that was not the case. It could have easily been done on those though. It was the best upsell of the old Astros and Safaris. Maybe they are not available and practical (economically speaking) because of the extra weight in this CAFE age?

While talking about the the high end that Cadillac doesn't have, he will completely sidestep the low end that Cadillac also doesn't have (Looking at you FWD CLA, A Class, and Metris). "Look ma! There's a bar over there! Can I just kick it for the hell of it?" -
I swore I've seen some older commercial model Suburbans (before Tahoe existed) that had them but maybe I'm getting a little foggy in my old age. Still love the concept and wish more SUVs had them. It's that versatility that I'm such a fan of.

Dutch doors are definitely the best of both worlds. The older Suburbans used to have them as well (early and mid 90s models I believe).

The bar moving is simply baffling nad unprecedented and that is saying something given the history of rabid fanboys I have seen over the years. -

Actually you will not see me defending that once. I am pointing out sales and how you keep moving the bar to suit your argument. Big difference there because I have been very clear about my disdain for CUVs on this site. Btw, that very same argument can be applied to you in reverse. And in yet another bar move, you attempt to compare mainstream brand Chevy to luxury maker Mercedes. I have no words for the pure grade A bull$h! fallacy of that "argument". -

surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Genesis
First bar move (all of this is paraphrased btw) "Mercedes outsells Cadillac in China" responded with "Buick outsells them both by light years" Second bar move "Well FWD CUVs will phase out and Benz will rule all" and "Buick is not luxury" (even though their cars get compared and cross shopped with MBs FWD offerings) Just kick the damn bar over already and be done with it. -

A bit cheaper and outsells the others by mere light years. Yeah, completely comparable. And I don't care about "once upon a time". And big words on FWD vehicles when Benz is increasing their FWD sedan stable. -

And again moving the bar. We were not talking about Europe. We are talking about here and the XT5 is spanking Benz on that front. I know it's a hard pill to swallow but you have to swallow it nonetheless and stop trying to move the argument to suit your argument. And the Buick Envision outsells all three of those combined. That's why you have to be careful moving that bar around like you do.
