Very nice write up. I think the Siri issues are more on Apples end. Everything that is asked of Siri has to go through an apple server and then back to your phone. I think these third party decks don't address these very well hence some of the issues I have been reading about.

No worries. Either scenario would have been tragic.

And that definitely but I am betting my bottom dollar on the Ativan being the main culprit. My years working in behavioral health have shown me what can happen when you take too much of that mess, especially if you have a history of depression. Just very sad for his family having to deal with this.
-
Early reports (mostly form his wife) state that he may have taken more than the recommended dosage of Ativan. His wife remarked that sounded very different on the phone after the show and was slurring his speech. He also told her he may have taken more than he was supposed to. Ativan is typically prescribed for anxiety but it carries the same side effects as just about every other anxiety med out there, suicidal thoughts in rare cases. This would certainly explain a lot but it makes it no less tragic.

Same here. I don't normally get this way when a celebrity or a musician dies but he is the main reason why I stated singing live in the first place, way back in '91. It connected to me in more ways than I ever thought possible.

Well, the world of music just took a another huge hit. RIP Chris Cornell. For me, musically, this truly sucks ass.

No. CUVs have stopped that, just like it has for everyone else.

Cadillac News: Cadillac XTS Refresh Surfaces In China
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
I really hope this a bogus photoshop job because why in the world would this even merit an update when it was supposed to be on the way out. It is also a possibility that this is just a China market update since Cadillac has a bigger presence there than they do here (seems like it anyway). The picture really does look like a bad patch job on the front end though. Just hideous.- 27 replies

Stop moving the bar. You only mentioned the BMWs. I merely offered the counter. Oh and there are Vettes that are quicker than the X as well (Z06) so... "precious GM product" Do you hear yourself right now? You get way way too uptight about the GM thing so just give that a rest already because I honestly couldn't care less about any brand as a whole. You're the one that gets hung up on any criticism of your favorite brand and any chance to slam GM or Ford.

SUVs are designed for utility (although there is nothing wrong with some luxury and comfort while you do it), not wannabe drag racing. If you want to drag race, get a damn sports car.

To me, that market is beyond pointless when they are nothing more than overdressed mommy mobiles. Just my opinion though.

And he only brought up the BMWs which are both six figure cars. Bring in the six figure Z06 and it's not even worth debating.

This could finally push Alfa sales into the thousands in the U.S.

Umm, just no, not even close. The slowest Vette has a 0-60 time of 3.8 while the fastest X5M and X6M is 3.8, while weighing almost a ton less than both. No way in hell those two are "quicker". Sorry.

GMC News: 2018 GMC Terrain To Begin At $25,970
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
Not likely. Not really a fan of CUVs as it is. The previous Terrain at least looked like a real SUV even if it wasn't. This one goes in completely the opposite direction. Oh well. Can't win them all. -

It's not dead on, mind you but the Terrains headlight treatment looks like what's going on underneath the 4Runners headlights. Just design overkill to me. The interior is a huge plus but getting past the outside would be the trick for me. -

GMC News: 2018 GMC Terrain To Begin At $25,970

Upon further inspection, I am still not sold on the exterior of the Terrain. There is just a lack of cohesive design here. I'm sure the interior is light years better but I would not be able to get past the outside of this thing. -
Short of something dumb, it will probably still sell well due to everything else being an upgrade over the previous Terrain. It's not my kind of market anyway but if it was, the outside of this would be an absolute deal killer for me.
-
That is exactly what I'm referring to as well. It serves no function whatsoever and creates an even worse blind spot.
-
I think it is the rear pillar that really kills it for me. That stupid trend needs to stop.
-
The older one has a far more cohesive (if not dated) look. The new one is trying to convey at least five different looks and none of them are very flattering to me.
-
So I saw pics of the new GMC Terrain and really wished I was blind and couldn't see that. Absolutely hideous amalgamation of bad design ideas on the outside.
