  1. So instead of saying “Hey. Wrong car. That’s a Buick”, you basically make it personal and insult him? I guess being a passive aggressive dyck just comes natural. Phoenix
  2. Yeah, its a good thing Ford doesn’t offer massive discounts on their best selling models like the F-Series. Oh wait. It should be noted that they did not change the price of the GT model and most trims only dropped $1000. I’m sure those little facts don’t help your narrative that all EVs suck but there you have it.
  3. Saw one of these at the dealership while the Flex was being serviced. Vanderhall Carmel (Autocycle). It’s like an Aerial Atom had a drunken baby with a Polaris Slingshot.
  4. Dems didn’t have them but however, my a/c was not working at the time so big ass air bag size window shades were mandatory.
  5. My old nimble MR2. Basically Drove like a Go Kart with a roof on it.
  6. I’m certain for some folks, there is but honestly new cars are a terrible investment. There’s a reason why used car sales have taken off over the last decade or so. To each their own though. If someone wants to splurge $100K on a new car, more power to them. You only live once, after all.
  7. *yawn* yourself hypocrite. Again, refer to your very first statement and admit that you were wrong. There is competition but you don’t want your mommy to pay slightly more for more power and more room. That’s really all you have to say instead of dancing around your mistake and making up endless excuses for it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go put an American flag on a Toyota Tundra. Hope that’s okay with you.
  8. Not that this part matters (only what I posted at the bottom here), but so damn what? The Hyundai dealership nearest me has ONE base model Venue and it is cheap looking on every front. You talk about apples to oranges? The TB, while priced higher, looks better in every trim level (as opposed to the base model Venue I saw with its wheel covers, no wonder its “cheaper”). Like I said though, none of what you just pointed out matters because of the following below. For the last time, I quote, 22 hours ago, ocnblu said: Link please. To a domestic 2020/2021 competitor to the Venue. Yes it is, whether you want to admit it or not. Your sorry attempt at bar moving does not change this fact. Go ahead though. Go ahead and get one of the cheap ones here. I think I’d pay a little more for one that doesn’t look so “cheap”.
  9. Hey SMK, I mean Blu, nice bar moving. You said nothing of price and your assessment of the TB can easily be applied to the Venue, ie good luck finding those base models. Again though, the TB is competition for the Venue and is sold by a domestic company here. Those were the two rules YOU set up. Not base price. Not what can be found in the “real world”. You were wrong, end of story. The TB also has more power and more cargo room but I guess pointing that out is just salt in a open wound at this point.
  10. He didn’t state domestic made though. He stated a domestic competitor that sells a model that competes with the Venue. The Trailblazer, sold by domestic company GM/Chevrolet, is the most direct competitor from a domestic manufacturer. At least the money stays in America, another past gripe by certain people with selective memories. The Venue is a foreign car from start to finish so how does that fit his past “buy American” narrative. That is the core point here.
  11. Here you go. No link but I think you get the point Mr. “buy American”. Good grief man. Make it a challenge next time you want to try and defend your domestic policy there.
  12. Whatever you say Captain America. And you’ve been making enough baloney for the both of us. I’m merely stating a fact.
  13. Making Korea great again.? Oh the irony here.
  14. Didn't get a chance to say it on your other thread but that is one sharp Avalanche. If it weren't for its need to drink gas like Frank Gallagher drinking booze, I would have traded my Flex in for one. Still, very nice ride and you definitely lucked out on the low miles. Tough to find one with under 100K on it.
  15. Well then it seems like to me that Rivian is more concerned with putting out a quality product and not a sub-quality product by having “speedy” production. Quality over quantity. I’m not really sure how you make this out to be a negative somehow.
  16. Using the Model 3 as an example of speedy production is a poor poor choice given the massive production issues and reliability issues that have dogged them since.
  17. The last part is what I’m talking about. Hydrogen fuel cell tech is far more complex and more expensive to maintain if service is needed and now its being combined with another tech (electric) that also has a certain level of complexity when it comes to service (in relation to fixing any potential problems with it). We won’t even get into the infrastructure side of things where hydrogen is concerned.
  18. Lots promise there but until there is an actual truck, I will reserve judgement on it. Certainly looks light years better than that abomination from Tesla. I also am not keen on the combination of electric and fuel cell tech. Seems overly complex and creates yet another barrier towards acceptance where fuel cell tech and infrastructure are concerned.
  19. Actually the resale numbers are skewed by a bunch of California qualifiers like the Fiat 500e (show of hands if anyone has actually seen on those in the wild) and short range “ugos” like the BMW i3. Long range EVs like the Tesla 3 seem to hold their values much better overall.
  20. And the reason for EV depreciation is pretty easy explain. From that piece you’re probably referring to, ”All of the electric models that lost the largest chunk of their original value are short-range models. One of the keys to success (and a signal of success) for the new long-range fully electric vehicles is that they escape the pull of strong depreciation. With the first Chevrolet Bolt EVs due to near that three-year mark early next year—and the new ones in their tax-credit phaseout—we’ll start getting some answers on whether that's the case in a matter of months”
  21. If you are going to spout off about a 40% loss of battery capacity, make sure you state ALL the facts regarding that. “Early data shows a trend of reaching 150,000 miles before coming close to a 10% capacity loss, which is the minimum loss expected by GM under its warranty. Tesla’s battery and drivetrain warranty is for 8-year and with unlimited mileage.” Source: https://www.google.com/amp/s/electrek.co/2016/12/07/gm-chevy-bolt-ev-battery-degradation-up-to-40-warranty/amp/ And we know that keeping a car longer sure doesn’t matter to you, given your track record of car and truck ownership.
  22. Well considering it’s a four door only (The 4Xe) and most of those pics show two door models, you should really reconsider the sheer idiocy of your comment. Again, FOUR DOORS!
  23. Again, for the deniers in the back, if you are looking at ANY Wrangler for its cargo carrying capacity, then you shouldn’t be looking at a Wrangler. Fortunately most people, with a lick of common sense, know what a Wrangler is for. Of course, most owners I know have done this with theirs because that’s part of the allure. And I (and you) don’t know whether I’m dumber than him or not. I just know I’m not dumb enough to expect cargo carrying abilities from a Jeep Wrangler. That’s why I said he was dumb for buying one of that was his criteria for ownership. Understand the difference before trying to insult me. Just dust off your knees and walk away if you’ve got a problem with MY opinion. And you have zero room to ever mention a damn thing about credibility. That is just laughable!
  24. Then he was dumb for buying a Wrangler. A Wrangler has never been marketed for cargo room. On top of that nonsense you’re presenting, you said he had a two door. If you don’t see the problem with that where cargo capacity is concerned then maybe you just need to stop making up fake scenarios about people looking at Wranglers for their cargo carrying capability, all because Jeep now offers a partial electric model.
  25. Well, it’s not the first time you’ve taken a knee. Might want to invest in some knee pads. Funny thing is that in this “pro vs con” article on owning new Wrangler, cargo capacity isn’t even mentioned on the “cons” side of the argument. https://www.car-buying-strategies.com/Jeep/2019-Wrangler.html That’s also ironic coming from Mr. “no wants an EV” himself.
