  1. Go Drew. Making all the right points, obviously! I think some of us in life want a car we can use all the time, especially if you can only afford one car. One car has to nearly do it all. If I want a sexy car like a Camaro because I like the look, but can't use the car because I can't haul people or get around in winter, then I can't buy the car. -daily driver -get around well in winter -ability to have passengers, front and back -ability to haul cargo of some kind. Mitsubishi Eclipses of yore used to have AWD, so did 300GT / Stealth and such. Even if just the base Camaro 2.0t was available with AWD, then it becomes a car you can use vs. a car you have to park half the time. 3.6 already has AWD also. Think of the route GM could go with performance options and AWD. Break new ground in the market. Be a great competitor for someone who wants a FUGLY WRX sti or Evo. Even if GM only had 20% take rate on the AWD, its worth it. I don't think they would need to mate the v8's to AWD.
  2. what is needed lower beltline and less claustrophobia. how the hell anyone can drive one of these, I don't know, there is no view out of the thing and it feels like a bunker. better and more efficient packaging so there is more interior and trunk room for all the volume enclosed by the body. more rear seat space / actually usable. Some folks might want to put adults back there periodically so it becomes a usable car. AWD OPTIONAL PLEASE, then we can haz this as a daily driver for winter
  3. "what difference does it make"!!!! LMAO
  4. stood next to the new 15 Mustang at the auto show last weekend. Evolved retro, to be honest it did not do much for me although I think it is retro enough to sell like hot cakes. Just not exciting. As long as Chevy makes it sexy.
  5. New Colorado is not attractive, I suppose if VW made a decent looking rig it may make inroads. Chevy really half assed it on the Colorado I think. They screwed up the looks of the new full sizers too. Sat in a new Yukon at the auto show last weekend now that is a NICE interior on a truck.,....
  6. I don't see a VW truck selling in the US, can you say Routan pt 2
  7. Impala diesel! Agree with Drew on the VW. I will give Honda credit, their rear seat space hands chevy's Malibu its ass on a platter.
  8. where is GM with any new product in any of these commercial segments?
  9. my 013 test drive, i thought it was (like all Hondas) noisy inside and did not feel solid or substantial. Ride was nothing to write home about. turd looks. cheesy interior. aura of cheapness. good cvt, roomy inside. in my book, its mostly hype. Decent all around, but I would take the Mazda6, Fusion, Passat, Malibu, and maybe even the Koreans over this thing first. It's a dog hair in front of the similarly dopey Altima. Fusion has the best all around mid size lineup. New Passat 1.8 is a nice drive. M6 is tight on space but out Hondas Honda hands down. Close buddy had two leased Pilots and recently got a new leased CRV. That's pretty much the nail in the coffin for him. Hates the CRV, cheap noisy tinny. Pilots had poor mpg. Honda's lesions of fans should get out and look at other metal. They haven't evolved the species in years. Still better than the Cahmny.
  10. apparently Honda has even had ridiculous leases on these from time to time and they still can't spark ! any interest. Prius has their cult, pure EV's are useless, the Volt is the way to go and Honda has just never found a sweet hybrid spot.
  11. yes, there is some reshaping of the center stack and some new button and screen layouts. It should help.
  12. think it would be nice if the std engine got the six speed manual too. Should get good EPA with that combo but i bet it works extremely hard at higher speeds. Would love to see the 1.5 ecoboost mated to a conventional automatic, either 6 or 8 speeds in this car. the revised beak really fixes a major issue with this car. I think putting buttons with the Sync will help too. I wonder if they will be slated to fix the overbearing dashboard anytime soon. It's not that it's bad, it's just so claustrophobic, the whole interior. Lacks leg room compared to the new Corolla. Basic shape of the car should have a long shelf life so tweaks like this will keep it from withering away. Real world pricing on the Focus is real good. Good commuters, and better than average road manners.
  13. exactly
  14. i went to the mits dealer the other day. this was a dealer that was added back recently with new ownership. they had a display board with a rendering of their new facility they were to be building soon (or remodeling). things must be a positive outlook to dump construction money into a mits only dealer.
  15. Ok, they have effed the styling on this but still on a commodity basis, what you have, a really well priced AWD large vehicle non SUV with super fuel economy. That combination is practically non existent elsewhere. Despite all those flaws visually and perhaps 'drive wise' it ticks practically every box on my practicality menu for the next ride. The rear seat thing is interesting. The current one is huge. Hope they kept that in the new one. If they reduced the rear seat room, I am less interested. Since this Subaru looks a bit like a current Taurus, perhaps one could just get an AWD Taurus. Ah, the rub, lower mpg by a bunch, higher higher price. I suppose you could say the same thing about a Fusion. wow, that Camry dash is terrible.
  16. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/02/04/2015-subaru-legacy-leaked-chicago/ yes, the concept was MUCH flashier.......... Taurus front Camry dash Volvo side (a little Taurus in the C pillar too) Passat ass
  17. very much interested in this rig. AWD, and i like the current one, but the current one does lack some polish. Hope they keep the spacious interior. Gobs of rear leg room.
  18. lol....i always felt chrysler should have died and they should have saved Pontiac and Saturn instead.
  19. I test drove a 14 Malibu last wkd and I really like that shifter. One of the nicest shapes and locations I've come across.
  20. Until all the deli meat is gone.
  21. You have to admit, it is a looker with a sweet interior. And it is a coupe!
  22. i agree with Z06. mid fifties is a good place for this car to be. thing is, at 70k, they can make the same profit on fewer units.
