as an owner of a 2004 colorado the only disappointment i have is that it should have a little more power. thought about the rk sport turbo charger but for 3 grand forget it. even then it only hits 275hp. more or less i am hoping for the 4.8 to be on the top of the line colorado option sheet. granted my next purchase will most likely be a fullsize truck.

i love the toyota comercial praising their new tundra. "The new Toyota Tundra, the most powerful v8 in its class*" yeah the "*" caught my attention. because at the bottom of the screen it says "* when equiped". truth is we got the front runner with the most standard horsepower in the fullsize class. The best thing about it is the 4.8 also gets the same, if not beter epa than toyotas standard v6 in the tundra.

exactly, there would be terrible product over lap. one company would not need the corvette and the viper, or hummer and jeep. I would go so far to say that if GM did buy all or a lot of chrysler, there will be no challenger... why would they make competition for the camaro just as it was coming out. truth is, we NEED the competition between FoMoCo, Mopar, and GM to keep things exciting... i'll turn in my driver's license before i turn to imports for my performance and driving needs.

this is true. if they were designing cars to sell (which i think they do) they wouldnt have this problem. obviously everyone doesnt feel the gotta have vibe from dcx. how long ago was it that we saw thousands of mopars sitting in a huge lot waiting for a spot on dealer's lots that most likely werent coming?

nice, another sticker the kids in high school can put on their cars... i can see it now '96 honda civics everywhere sporting A-Vtec across the windshields, bumpers, and who knows where else. i know thats not correlating to what is being discussed but i got lost halfway down page one. i just wanted to make a prediction.

prolly most of the people who "arent going to buy gm" anymore havent bought gm in the past 2 vehichles anyway. i used to work retail, i cant count the times i heard i'll never shop here again... 2 weeks later in the door they come. we are too politically correct, as soon as someone's feelings get hurt people point fingers, mobs get formed, and someone's job gets lost. By the way there have been 3 people i have personally known who have left here way to soon because of suicide in the past 10 years.

my grandparents have been waiting on this so they can replace their 97 bonneville. they kept asking when the rwd cars were coming back and i guess they'll be happy to know they can trade the bonne in another year. kinda odd my 72 year old grandpa wants a v8 sedan but hey thats how i got my 69 impala... maybe i'll be the 2nd owner of a G8 later on too.

oh good, they fixed the xB. Now the edges of the brick are rounded off so wind can flow around the car instead of smacking into it head on and being deflected by a car a person would draw at age 3.

well it just snowed/iced down here in SC. I'm an xray tech in the ER and i was happy to see no major accidents today. people down here can barely drive in the freakin rain, much less ice and snow.

1987 was the last time i saw a real monte carlo as was 1996 for the impala. i could never figure out what was added to fwd to equal performance mayself. at least the grand prix stuck to the rwd plan longer than the monte before it finally gave way to fwd.

another thing that needs to be mentioned is the pontiac gxp-r's performance at the 24 hour le mans. 2nd in the gt class for a debut is great, and pontiac finished 2nd and 3rd over all in the prototype class. -
there was actually a show on history channel or history international a few weeks ago about saabs beginings in WW2 to the present. it was pretty interesting to watch, i had no idea the company was founded by jet engineers.

exactly why electric motors are cool, 100% torque as soon as the button is pushed all the way across the board... although sounding like a 1:1 scale R/C car doesnt exactly thrill as much as v8 with flowmasters -
as i sat reading this around 11 this morning i wondered how long it would take to make it on C&G. i thought the very same about how the media would probably come to toyotas aid, and while had this been a GM problem there would be massive public outcry and predictions of the fall of GM in the next fiscal year. I told my friend toyota's $h!t stinks just like everyone else and its showing more and more everyday.

i hope that caprice translates to our impala. it's adorned my desktop and my screen saver for about 6 months in an effort to keep my dreams of a performance fullsize chevy alive.

hmmm i was scared for a sec there, i was hopin we were getting the holden caprice as the impala. three things i require are a big v8, a sleeper looking sedan, and for God's sake please give the thing 6 tail lights! its not an impala without 3 lights on each side!

i thuroughly enjoyed my 1990 ss 454. the only thing i didnt mess with in my highschool parking lot was a friends 1970 gs 455

well the ss badge has not always meant performance... i have seen a few impalas from the 60's with SS on the side and a 283 under the hood. but yeah, i think the ss malibus were definately crossing the line
