  1. ...actually I think hell is about to freeze over! I didn't like it at all when it came out, but I think of the three I'd like a V6- Challenger. Chris
  2. ...as the saying goes "I'd hit it..." Chris
  3. That Pontiac is awesome, thanks for the pic! Chris
  4. One of the guys at the local electrical supply house just bought a Buick Grand National...for $2500. It ain't pretty. It's got a million Jesus loves you stickers on it, a regular Regal fender for one of the front fenders, the headliner is missing, and it needs paint in the worst sort of way. And it's got rust, but very minor. Also comes with a stack of paperwork that my tape measure says is three inches thick, the motor and tranny have been rebuilt by GOOD local people, the rest of the interior is damn near perfect, and it's a T-top car. Oddly enough, it was ordered with every option, including the upgraded stereo, but no posi rear end. Making me even sicker is that the same guy just sold his 47 Ford at Goodguys last weekend and is probably going to buy a 25,000 mile pristine Grand national with the proceeds, so he'll have two grand nationals, one for show and one for go. Also making me sick is the brother in law of a guy I know from work, bought a 68 Barracuda Ragtop (this one was very clean) slant six automatic nothing fancy...for $3600. Even sicker is that THIS guy also scored a REAL Boss 302 70' Mustang for 36,000...probably because the boss 302 had several modifications...but still... Another guy I know just paid big bucks for a 318 powered 70 Barracuda convertible that was rusty. But this guy has a correctly date coded 70 Hemi motor in the garage, air cleaner to oil pan complete, and is about to build the world's coolest clone. Also I managed to miss out on the chance to buy a really clean (but needeing some resto work, but decent car) 71 Skylark convertible for $4200. Wanted this one for myself. Chris
  5. (enter sarcasm mode) He'll just do what Mustang owners do, put a Cobra badge on it and Bull$h! about how fast it is.... "Yep, she'll do 58 MPH in the standing mile...." (exit sarcasm mode) Chris
  6. I'm wishing I coulod pick up and go like your wanting to do...but with 5 children I just can't. Good luck with your move and the "A" Chris
  7. That could be detrimental to the sheep gene pool if any offspring occured.... Chris
  8. Which is why I just LOVED my Concorde when I had it. 28-29 m.p.g. in 80% highway use. I miss the Chrysler LX series cars. Chris
  9. That's damned good out of the subie, most of the subies I've known don't go over 22 or 23... Chris
  10. T.V. police officers.... (yeah, I know that's not what you wanted and is kinda retarded, but it's what came to mind.) Or if this makes you happy...Potato... Chris

  12. the sexiest rooflines of the early 60's are on the midsized mopars (say a 64 Sport Fury) and fullsize Chevrolets (62-64 Impala, anyone) Both of which had great Hardtop/Convertible lines. Chris
  13. We had guys working with us from out of town when I worked at Gaylor Electric. We were doing the Psychology building at Ohio State and they brought guys in from INDY, where the company H.Q. is. One of the guys parked his truck (admittedly a Toyota Tundra) in a no parking zone, but it was only a no parking zone two days of the week. When the towing company towed his truck, he asked me for a ride down to get it. We got there at 5:10 and they wouldn't let us get the truck, even though everyone was still there. They closed at 5:00, so we were only 10 minutes late. Worse, the truck owner was diabetic and starting to need insulin. It took threats of both a lawsuit and kicking the guys ass on the spot for them to let us back to his truck to get his insulin, which was behind the seat in a bag. They still wouldn't let us have the truck until the next A.M., even though my co worker needed the truck to get to his sons birthday party. I coulda just shot the tow company guy. Chris
  14. I guess I'm stupid, but I'd rather pay a couple hundred more and deal with an honest, ethical dealer. Wish I knew why the "east side" was cooler. Chris
  15. Even in a non turbo car, I prefer to get her really good and up to temp before I get on her, and let her cool down before I shut her off. All those years I spent as an SCCA corner worker watching guys warm cars up for several laps and then cool them down kind of burned this into my mind. Chris
  16. Sweet...be a nice project if you ever move back to the states. Chris
  17. Nice truck, great that ms. kim is o.k. Chris
  18. Taking my son out to breakfast Sunday, we saw a 1963 Pace car Chrysler 300 ragtop that was one of the actual festival cars. Local car right here in Grove City Ohio, suprised I haven't seen it before... Chris
  19. 2002 Miata LS, 28-29 mpg 2005 Scion xB, 33-36 mpg 1997 GMC Safari, about what a frieght train gets.. Chris
  20. Drop it out of an airplane and it will get to 90 real fast... Chris
  21. What is weird is contractors around here are buying these and using them. I still freak every time I see an Escalade full of Hispanics pulling a trailer full of mowers or with a ladder rack. Chris
  22. That would actually be a nice choice. Too bad you sold yours a few months ago. Good luck and post some pics if you buy one... Chris
