  1. I think they should go ahead and build this car.. it is built from a slightly modified Delta platform.. meaning it probably would be assembled alongside other delta platform vehicles.. so if this car gets the green light it would likely be assembled in eiether Ramos Arizpe Mexico or in Lordstown Ohio.. this would sell pretty well especially if they kept the price down.
  2. I want one, I want one!! this car is going to be a hot seller. especially if they dont raise the price alot over the 2007 model.. is there still going to be a "V" version??
  3. they will go into production in Fairfax Kan. sometime around July.. so you may see some starting to show up at dealers around late august early september..
  4. I think when Epsilion II comes out there needs to be a Cadillac version for north america.. infinity, Lexus, lincoln and Acura all have entry level front wheel drive sedans so why cant Cadillac?? I think if you made a sedan like this and priced it about $28,000 it would sell quite well.. of course it would only come with the 3.6L and 6 spd auto..
  5. I really like this new Malibu.. I have a 06 G6 right now and im thinking this will be my next car.. this is the best epsilion yet.. the top engine will be the 3.6L dohc with 6 spd auto.. with the 2.4L and 3.5L as the other choices.. those will have 4 spd auto's.. the 2.4L will could also be availible with a 5 spd manual.. the 3.9L will not be availiable.. im hoping the interior looks as good as the exterior..
  6. Monte Carlo is going out of production to make room at Oshwa Ontario for Camaro production.. i still think there is room for a midsize FWD Chevy coupe.. I wouldnt mind seeing a Malibu coupe when it gets redesigned..
  7. Im glad this plant will remain open.. they could build pretty much anything there. could be a new GTO but that will likely be built in oshwa alongside the camaro.. they could probably run Cobalts, and HHR's there right now.. could be the rumored Hummer H4.. maybe a Cadillac/Buick Epsilion sedan.. we might have an idea next month after the NAIAS..
  8. would it be more cost efficient to build a minivan from the Epsilion platform? or possibly a long wheelbase Theta? if there was a new minivan built there wouldnt need to be 4 versions of it. I would think about only offering it as a Chevrolet. if you still are against making a new minivan then you need to consider making a Chevrolet lambda crossover that would be cheaper than the other versions. or you could make a "value leader" version of the GMC Acadia or Saturn Outlook.. even if you had to power the "value leader" with the 3.5L high value V6.
  9. why couldnt they build a new minivan from the Epsilion platform?? would that be possible??
  10. we may see it sooner than that. if it is sold in the united states it will carry a Saturn bagde and would be sold in canada and mexico as a Pontiac.. unlike the astra this would be built in the U.S. Canada or Mexico.. possibly Spring Hill TN. after the current Ion dies..
  11. i still cant believe they are still posting Cavalier sales.. they havent built them for 2 years!! and there are still some floating around??
  12. if you want a monte carlo 2008 is the last year for it, the production capacity for this car will be taken over by the new camaro.. this is a very slow selling model. i wouldnt rule out a return of this car on Zeta in 2011 though, as a rebaded cheaper version of the next GTO also built at Oshwa.. or there may even be a two door impala when it moves to zeta..
  13. the 3.5L right now is only a front wheel drive engine.. it could however use the same V6 engine as the upcoming base Camaro.. which will probably be the 3.9L.. the 2.9L I4 would be powerful enough to be used in a vehicle like the H4.. the inline 5 from the H3 and colorado could be optional.
  14. if they made the H4 a short wheelbase two door or even a four door but it would have to be the size of the jeep wrangler.. they could shorten the H3's wheelbase but it would make sense to just make a new platform, they could spread the development costs IF THEY MADE A SIMULAR VEHICLE FOR CHEVROLET AND/OR GMC, but with diffrent exterior styling.. sort of like a modern day Geo Tracker.. this vehicle would probably be powered by the colorado's 2.9L inline 4 cyl engine.. its unclear where this vehicle would be assembled eiether, schreveport might not have enough capacity to add this also..
  15. the new 08 malibu will be larger on the same wheelbase as the G6 and Aura.. the new one will have the 3.6L 6 spd auto combo. the 3.9L wont be offered on the 08 malibu, it will only come with the 2.4L ecotec, the 3.5L OHV V6 and the 3.6L dohc V6.. the 08 G6 may drop the 3.9L also. hopefully they have finally "figured" out how to mate the 3.6L with a 6 spd manual.
  16. it will keep the Malibu name.. it will make its debut at the detroit auto show in january.. unlike before it will only come as a sedan, there wont be a maxx version. engine choices should mirror those of the Saturn Aura. 2.4L base, 3.5L V6 optional with the 3.6L dohc V6 as the top engine..

    terraza,

the Terraza will die after the 07 model year, the pontiac SV6 is already dead, the Saturn Relay and Chevy Uplander will live on until january 09.. a new minivan will debut in january 09 based on the lambda platform..
  18. I think they should make a hardtop coupe version of the Solstice and price it around 17-18K and watch them fly off the dealer lots.. this is what they should have did instead or rebadging a Cobalt..

    ...

a pickup HHR wouldnt be that bad of an idea.. it could sort of replace the SSR.. but make it with a fixed roof.. the SSR didnt do well because it was impractible, way too costly, and it was too overweight to make it any kind of performance vehicle..

    ...

I like it, but that will be a heck of a blindspot.. and i thought the blind spot in a cobalt sedan and a grand prix was bad. i know ive driven both and almost side swiped someone in both cars..
  21. actually the next Aveo will be built on the same platform as the Corsa.. so in reality they will be just reskinned versions of each other.. Saturn Corsa?? im really hoping it gets a diffrent name.. Corsa... Corsica... need i say more??
  22. the assembly line that the Lacrosse and Grand Prix are built on is shifting to Camaro production in the summer of 2008.. Pontiac will get a rebadged version of the Holden Commodore to replace the grand prix, and that car will more than likely share the assembly line with the Camaro.. the lacrosse could however be built next to the current impala though, the impala wont move to Zeta until 2010 or 2011.. and they will have more room since the current monte carlo will die after the 08 model year..
  23. im thinking this car would look better as a Buick.. can someone do a chop of this car as a Buick?? last time i heard Buick was getting a Zeta sedan..
  24. I dont know why they are wasting money "updating" the lacrosse when the current model will go out of production in 2009.. a whole new lacrosse will debut for the 2010 model year and it will be shifted to the Epsilion platform and will be assembled in Orion Michigan alongside the Pontiac G6. its assembly space in oshwa will be occupied by the new Camaro..
  25. it will probably have around 9 colors.. bright white, black, bright red, silver, yellow, sunset orange, dark blue, apple green, and sandrift,
