  1. Wouldnt this be a good time to think about bringing back the Metro to production? this car got 58 mpg in 1992!! I know we have the Aveo but its no better than a Cobalt in mileage. id say lets bring over the 3 door aveo and put a 1.0L 3cyl in the engine bay and bam we have ourselves a 50 MPG car.. this car didnt sell really well in 1992 because gas was $1.25 a gallon, it WOULD sell with gas near $4.00 a gallon.
  2. id like for Buick to make a coupe or hardtop convertible. It would be fairly easy to make a two door/convertible version of this car since they already make one with the Pontiac G6/Saab 9-3.
  3. Id say lets use the 2.0 Turbo for the base engine. especially if they are planning on exporting some to Europe. I have a feeling though that most Camaros will be powered by the 3.6L. probably only about 20 percent will have a V8.
  4. thats correct, Lordstown is schduled to assembly the Cobalt two more years, through July 2010. A new one wont appear until the 2011 model year no matter where it is assembled.
  5. it is rumored to be assembled at Lordstown. since it is based on the delta platform..
  6. could it be the next generation G5??? its kinda small to be a G6.. arent the Cobalt and G5 supposed to be redesigned in 2010?? the current models are schduled to be built for two more years.
  7. I wonder how much this car would sell for if it was sold here? like $8,000?? of course airbags would have to be added. I bet Alamo and Enterprise would buy a few thousand anyways.. although i dont think most of the public would go for it. it would be ok to sell it to fleets only though.
  8. with the upcoming Hummer H4 they should offer a "reskinned" version of that vehicle for GMC. a solution for the Envoy is to offer a "reskinned" version of the next generation Hummer H3.
  9. Id call the "excelle" a Skylark or an Invicta here. the next lacrosse to be built on Epsilion and built alongside the next generation Pontiac G6 in Orion Michigan, its rumored to be called the Regal.. I would make the Riviera on the Zeta platform it would be a reskinned next generation GTO. the lucerne would be a large zeta sedan that would challenge the Chrysler 300.
  10. I think the last Olds to offer a manual transmission was eiether 4 cyl 99-01 Alero's or I know for sure the 92-94 Achieva SCX.
  11. see what makes no sence to me is they should also be destroying Corvettes, Mustang GT's, Vipers, Camaro Z28's, Trans am's, Cadillac CTS-V's, BMW M-series, Lincoln town cars, and Ford Crown Victoria's!!!! DONT THOSE IDIOTS KNOW THESE CARS GET JUST AS BAD MPG AS A HUMMER??
  12. I wonder what platform they are basing this HX on? im kind of guessing we will see a second "reskinned" GMC or Chevrolet version. this would help to reduce costs and get production numbers higher. and im also guessing that it will be powered by the H3's current inline 5 cylinder engine.
  13. Tokyo -- Toyota announced today that the new 2008 Camry Amish line hybrid’s MSRP will start at $22,695 (including destination charge), making it the lowest-priced hybrid on the market for 2007. In addition to its value-focused price, the Internal Revenue Service has certified that Camry Amish Line buyers will qualify for a tax credit of $1,300. “The Camry Amish Line is a great value among the hybrids in the mid-size car segment,” said Toyota General Manager Yamato Hiroshima. “With a starting sticker price over $2,000 less than any mid-sized hybrid sedan and a $1,300 tax credit, it makes true hybrid fuel savings available to more people than ever before.” The Camry is assembled at the Toyota Plant in Japan. , and Amish Line hybrid models are beginning to arrive at Toyota retail facilities. The Amish hybrid system in the Camry combines sophisticated controls with a precise Steam motor/generator mated to a horse. The system delivers economy gains by providing steam power assist during acceleration, through early steam cut-off during deceleration with torque smoothing and by stopping the horse at idle. The system also captures steam energy through regenerative braking. The vehicle’s hybrid powertrain produces 2 horsepower at 6 rpm and 1 lb.-ft. (5 Nm) of peak torque at 5 rpm.

  15. one will probably be the 2008 Cobalt, its getting a new nose and upgraded interior for the 08 model. and the SS model will start using the same engine as the Solstice GXP,
  16. I think they should sell the convertible here. it would slot in between the Solstice and G6 convertibles. this would be good because im sure there is people who want a G6 convertible but dont want to spend $32,000 on it. it would sell here if the msrp was around $25,000. that and im sure alamo would take a few thousand of them.
  17. here are some of my guesses. 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, it gets a new nose, and an upgraded interior, and a 245 hp SS version 2008 Chevrolet Aveo 5 , this year the 5 door gets redesigned. 2008 Pontiac G5, see cobalt, possible 245 hp GXP version 2009 Impala concept 2009 Saab 9-5 2008 Buick Lacrosse super,
  18. GM buying Chrysler wouldnt be that bad of an idea.. it would be a great idea to just buy the Jeep brand.. maybe just buy Jeep and the Toledo Ohio assembly plant.. I then would sell Hummers and Jeeps under the same dealerships.. if GM bought the whole Chrysler group here is how I would structure it.. Hummer/Jeep: this division would sell. the Jeep Wrangler, Hummer H2, Hummer H3, the Jeep Grand Cherokee would slot inbetween the H3 and H2.. the Jeep Patriot would live on and eventually be moved to the Theta platform.. the Jeep Compass would die.. Buick/Chrysler: would sell the: PT Cruiser which would become a reskinned HHR.. a new 300 that would be built from the Zeta platform.. the Lacrosse which would be built on the epsilion platform.. the Pacifica would eventually be moved to lambda, a crossfire that would also come from Zeta.. the Enclave would still live even with the pacifica because the pacifica would be smaller. and the town and country minivan which i would consider changing the name of.. the sebring, aspen, and lucerne would be phased out.. Pontiac/Dodge/GMC: this would sell the Pontiac Solstice, G6, G8, and GTO.. Dodge Caliber,a small Dodge sedan/coupe built on the Delta platform, Caravan, Challenger, Dakota, Durango, Ram, and Viper, GMC Sierra, Savanna, Acadia, Yukon, and Yukon XL, all other models would be phased out.. Chevrolet, Saturn, Saab, and Cadillac would pretty much remain the same..
  19. Is there any possibility of producing a Police Package for the new G8?? anyone care to do a chop of what a police package G8 would look like?? this would make a sweet police cruiser..
  20. I seen the 08 Cobalt on the superbowl commerical last night and it looks just like the 08 Malibu in the front.. im thinking they could show it at the Cleveland auto show.. would be nice since they build it not far from Cleveland..
  21. no it wasnt at Detroit.. but if you look at the superbowl ad called "chevrolet singers" you can catch a glimpse of the front clip of a white 08 Cobalt coupe..
  22. on Chevy's superbowl Ad called "chevrolet singers" if you look close enough you will see the front clip of a 2008 Cobalt.. its white.. i cant get it to copy and paste to load it on here..

    Camaro V8

the base Camaro will have the 3.9L OHV V6 from the current Impala/Pontiac G6.. it will produce 245 hp. next up will be the 5.3L OHV V8, this will be simular to the one used in the current Impala SS, it will have around 330 hp. the top Camaro will be powered by a 6.2L OHV V8 with somewhere between 405-425 hp.. the V8's will feature displacement on demand technology, and the 5.3L will be able to run on E85..

    Saab Story

Saab does need some more and better products.. here is what i would do.. 9-1, this would be a small delta based hatchback sedan. in essense a reskinned chevy cobalt but with more upscale features.. it would be built in Ohio alongside the Cobalt.. 9-4, this would be a kappa based hatchback 2 seat coupe based on the saturn sky. it would be built in delaware alongside that model.. 9-3, this would continue to be built in europe and be on the epsilion platform.. 9-5, i would redesign this on the sigma platform, with an AWD option.. 9-6, this would be a rebadged saturn outlook. it would be built in michigan with that model.. any thoughts??
  25. the Camaro wont be built in Australia but i wouldnt rule out them selling some of them over there.. wouldnt be too hard to make a right hand drive model.. they could probably sell a few thousand over there every year..
