  1. 1) The wipers, had this problem with the Cavalier and it eventually corrected itself... Try removing the fuse, starting the car, turning the car off and putting the fuse back in. 2)I don't know about the bearings but the G-Cars are known to eat brakes (Pads and Rotors) this problem is not limited to the Aurora, but afflicts the Bonne, LeSabre, Park Ave etc as well. 3) The turbine sensor: Well I don't know, sometimes things like that just break 4) Intermediate Steering Shaft: Is a common problem on the G-Cars up to but not including the DTS and Lucerne and Epsilon Malibus and G6s with electric steering. I hear that you can solve the problem by slightly repositioning the ISS.
  2. Ain't that the truth, we got near 40MPG (38MPG) hwy between Calgary and Vancouver this summer in the Impala.
  3. My grandfather has the "Royal Pine" in his Impala, he's used it for decades, but he switched to this vile yellow one for a month a while back, I can't recall what the scent was but it was noxious. I prefer the new car smell, which you can get in an air freshener now too. During the summer I usually leave an open package of Trident Bubble Gum in the side pocket of the door and the heat releases the smell.
  4. Mint 1984 Cutlass Supreme, two tone, wire wheels, absolutely spotless, and FOR SALE!
  5. Well that Malibu I was looking at has sold... so I'm back to square one. I just hope I hear something from my dealer sooner rather than later. It's getting really frustrating because I don't want to fill my car with gas because I don't want to burn the money if they do take some action (I'd assume they will) That leaves "on my radar": 2008 G6 SE V6, Blue Gold Crystal, 12K Kms (7500miles), $13'988 2008 Grand Prix, Liquid Silver Metallic, 18K Kms (11K miles), $14'988
  6. Well it's the UltraLux material so I'm not sure how that holds up.
  7. Well... Another Possibility popped up for the same price as an 08 G6. It's a 2006 Malibu LTZ Sedan with 20K kms just like this one: Sandstone Exterior, Cashmere Ultralux, 3.5L V6, Heated Seats, Power Pedals, 6 Disc Changer, Automatic Climate Control, Sunroof, ChromeTec Wheels, OnStar, XM... I could certainly get more than used to this.
  8. IDK about PC but I swear by Forza Motorsport 2 for the X360.
  9. Super Dave
  10. 2.30$
  11. Now Now, Be Nice. But if you must, remember you'll need a leader of a puppet provisional government (*hint*) Meanwhile, on my end it looks like the field has changed a bit. Should my dealer come through like it would seem they will, the G6 is still on the table but I think the Impala is out (prices on them just went up at our dealer), but they're selling Grand Prixs now for the same price as the G6, so a GP is not out of the question at this point either (I guess I'd have to drive both of them and decide). In terms of colors my color choices on the G6 are either Blue-Gold Crystal or Dark Steel Gray (I'd prefer the Gray). On the Grand Prix my choices are Midnight Blue or Silver, I think the Silver is a color more suited to me but I'd not be opposed to getting the blue as I think it hides some of the GPs subtle styling blunders IMO.
  12. Oh the car is on my Dad's policy and the title in his name too... if I didn't do that I'd be paying even MORE. Funny part is insuring me on a 2008 Impala would cost around 4200$, but my dad's 07 Impala costs him 658$
  13. Alberta is funny that way, I'm 18, I'm male, I drive a compact car. Waterloo Insurance and the Province of Alberta neither know nor care that I baby my car and drive like a cautious mature gentleman. I'm lucky that it isn't red because red would cost me a couple hundred more a year. The insurance pricing is frozen because it kept going up and up and up, so I'm isolated from rate increases for a few years yet. Once you turn 19 about 1000$ gets lopped off your insurance costs regardless of what you drive but you don't pay a normal insurance cost until you're 30.
  14. Ya for full coverage on the G5 I'm currently paying 5500$/yr... a G6 would be about the same, but an Impala would be 4200$/yr
  15. I know it is but part of me wants to get the Impala if possible because it costs 1000$ /yr less to insure than a G6.
  16. Depending on what my dealer tells me Monday I could be rolling in a 2008 G6 V6 or an Impala quite soon.
  17. Demand Spiked because of the price of oil... but now people have gone back to not buying them.
  18. Ok so the dealer called, the salesman is totally confused (When I talked to him on Monday he *insisted* the car had ABS and Trac Control) because of what all the paperwork says but as it would appear at this juncture the ABS system is not installed in any way, according to the dealer technicians. Now it's time for the negotiating phase to see if they want to make right on it in any way.
  19. Or Milenias... No. +1 Rock.
  20. LOL This made my day
  21. I have many fond memories of Lumina Euros and Regal sedans rented from Alamo when used to go to Phoenix twice a year.
  22. Just a comment, shouldn't the "A" in "And" be a lowercase A instead of an upper case one?
  23. $h!. Hopefully this guarantees the Bailout This will doom North America, US Canada and Mexico if it happens... Oh well. I'm not buying cars from a Chinese-owned company so if this ends up happening I'm heading over to Ford.
  24. Then ride them down the street like mis-matched rollerblades.
