  1. Also I'd agree with the part of the review about the non-VVT 3500 versus its newer counterpart. The 3500VVT in the Impala has a MUCH steadier power band, runs five times smoother and revs more freely than ye olde 3500 in our Maxx.
  2. Ya, Balthy's Right. My Dad's 65 Impala SS 'vert was made in Tarrytown, NY.
  3. you supply the shotgun I'll supply the ammo.
  4. Our Maxx gets 35MPG HWY easy...
  5. 4) is more likely than you'd think.
  6. My G5 came with the standard non-leather wrapped wheel (Cruise Control but no audio controls). I've been thinking about treating myself to a leather wrapped one and wondering what the feasibility would be. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Chevy-Cobalt-Black-Leat...id=p3286.c0.m14 ^^^ I found this Ebay listing that has a leather wheel for the Cobalt/G5 but it's got the stereo controls on it. If I bought that part and had it interchanged with the one I got now would it be easy to wire up the radio buttons to work (ie is it a simple difference from the current factory hookup to as it would be with the Radio buttons installed from the factory)?
  7. I can't see how this will change anything but I'll be waiting to see what happens.

  9. I don't feel you owe me an apology but I do agree with the spirit of your post
  10. Autoblog's reporting that a spokesman for Chrysler has refused to "Confirm or Deny"... Maybe it's happening as you'd think if this story was Buffalo Chips somebody from one of the companies would categorically deny it? I suppose in a Merged ChryCo and GM situation it would look something like this: Safe: Chevy, Cadillac, Jeep, Opel Question Mark: Buick, Chrysler, Saturn Dead as a Doornail: Dodge, Pontiac, GMC
  11. I don't see why you would advocate *not* using diplomacy.
  12. Most of the fleet DTSs are LuxIIs with the bench it seems.
  13. This all reeks of corruption... I'm really wondering if she's running scared.
  14. Holy Crap, this came out of nowhere
  15. Yeah and I guarantee it'll have the same effect the 700bil will have on the markets- bupkus.
  16. He tends to say it more when he's frustrated I've found.
  17. Maybe you have something there I admire the elder statesman... I don't like Barack Obama because in one on ones he sounds arrogant, egomaniacal and prickish, and in some cases hypocritical and phony. I don't think he has good judgment either. I don't think that his healthcare plan will work (although I'm 100% for Universal Healthcare) because of the powerful position the Insurance Companies. Hillary's plan was more achievable. I mean I can understand why people wanna vote for him because his message appeals to a lot of people and if they believe in him than they should vote for him, that's what democracy's about but I just don't see it. I don't like Palin because she's just a flat out idiot. No notion of Domestic and Foreign Policy beyond her far right positions on Abortion, Birth Control, Evolution, Same Sex marriage, the whole lot really. That's why she tries to bring everything back to Russia when she's dealing with FP because that's like the only thing she can talk about. She's also really annoying, sounds like she's right out of the movie Fargo. I have my reasons, but my opinion in the end means nothing since I can't vote in your elections so It's nothing worth fighting about... That being said I started this season out supporting John McCain but I don't like how negative he's gone... I'd be hard pressed to vote for either candidate right now (I could have supported Hillary, Biden, Guliani, etc...), I'd probably vote Libertarian if I could right now actually. The US 2-Party System wouldn't allow for someone to represent my mainly centrist (A fair bit left on Social Issues, a fair bit right on Economic Matters) views. In the US the way you have it rigged you don't fit in either party if you aren't liberal on all issues or conservative on all issues, that I don't like. In Canada we have a couple parties that hug the center from the left and right and one a bit further left.
  18. He's funny but sometimes I want to run him over with my car.
  19. I don't know what to say about this election I LOVE Joe Biden and John McCain I HATE Sarah Palin and Barack Obama.
  20. Nice Rides, Esp the SS! I saw that Weeping Birch tree in the background of your Denali pic and figured you were from Alberta, and lookie here I'm right
  21. Very Nice! But you've got to get rid of those crappy Continental tires... I just swapped mine out for Goodyear TripleTreds yesterday and the whole car feels exponentially more solid.
  22. Um Yeah, Olds is never coming back. Even though they're my favorite marque, I wouldn't want to see them back. They had their original run, any new Oldsmobile just wouldn't be the same because there's a gap in the history. Pontiac would be the same way.
  23. Toyota: |Moving Forward| (Absolute Value)
  24. If it isn't I'm sure Mr. Webster will see to it in a few years.
