  1. Well as an update I've had an Oil Change, and the Brake Fluid was looking kinda murky so I had it flushed and replaced. So far so good, but the fuel economy is still in the tank. I'm thinking of running one of those STP Anti-Carbon additives through it. Tire pressure sensors started giving readings as soon as the tires warmed up. Battery has been replaced. I've decided on taking up my grandmother's offer to sell the car to me and I think beyond a wash and wax it doesn't need anything else before it comes into my ownership.
  2. Aye, Coopers are supposedly very underrated. Up here Fountain Tire (Goodyear and Dunlop) has a 4 for 3 sale every fall, we took the opportunity to get the Tripletreds for the Cav and G5 during these sales, and we're hoping there's something similar this spring because the Bridgestone Insignias the Malibu came with are finally wearing out around 32K miles. I'm thinking that I'm going to keep the GY Integrities on my Impala though because the treadwear, traction and rolling resistance were pretty optimal on my dad's Impala so far.
  3. IMO The essential Ram bodystyle is and always has been the Regular Cab Shortbox...
  4. Oh. My. God. It's Perfect, I love it . Better looking than the new LaCrosse IMO, I'll be keeping my eyes on this one.
  5. That's INSANE. We barely paid 500/month SmartLease on our 40K$ 2005 Venture for 36mos.
  6. Unless you order the car from the factory you'd be compromising anyway with what the dealers have on their lots. I may one day order a Cadillac from the factory but frankly with so many low mileage cars for dirt cheap there is no viable argument for buying new all the time.
  7. Impala (Dads) 19000/2007= 9.46 Impala (Soon To be Mine) 11000/2007= 5.48 Maxx 28000/2006= 13.9 G5 (On its way out) 21000/2007= 10.46
  8. Ah Ha, two years in a row neither a Cheer nor a Jeer. I'm hugging the center quite nicely
  9. Really unfortunate but true. It might be called Invicta in Canada though seeing as LaCrosse is Quebecois slang for something inappropriate.
  10. To answer the question I gravitate to MKS sized cars and therefore I'd take the Lincoln.
  11. Congrats!
  12. Cool so the Regal will have an Impala/Lucerne sized trunk. That's very encouraging because I hate the dimensions of the trunks of the current Epsilons (Malibu is too shallow, G6 is too small period).
  13. That Cavalier gives me flashbacks...
  14. There were a few that stood above the rest (The Regal/Century, Intrigue, Impala, Cutlass Supreme all come to mind)
  15. What's that I hear? The sound of Saturn flatlining?
  16. I was hoping so but with the -40* windchills and the frozen tire sensors I figured better safe than sorry :AH-HA_wink:
  17. Black '07 Impala, probably should have mentioned that in the post
  18. My dad and I are prepping my late grandfather's car to get it driving again (wheels haven't turned in a bit over seven weeks) and ultimately prep it for sale (I'm going to try and buy it myself, hopefully, but that's another story). I ran it for ten minutes here and there while he was hospitalized and it's been plugged in to the block heater, so the engine block isn't frozen. The battery is toast. Won't hold a charge, so obviously that needed to be replaced. When I did get the car running I noticed that the left rear tire pressure sensors are both displaying a tire pressure of "---"kPa rather than the regular 190 kPa being registered from the front tires. I know the tires aren't flat or low on air so I'm wondering, will the tire pressure readings come back when the wheels are turning and warm up, or have the sensors frozen somehow? Are there any important things we should check/attend to after the car has been sitting for nearly 2mos before we unleash it on the road again?
  19. Now THAT takes skill.
  20. Also you might want to check these out, they should be in your area too. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=c...ar_id=253119743 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=c...ar_id=254423435 The one on the top is perfect IMO.
  21. ya, we returned our leased 2005 Venture LS in Feb and they wanted 17K$ to buyout the lease for us to keep the vehicle. It went to the auction and our dealer bought the van back and set out selling it for 10.5K$, a move which brought us within an inch of buying it back.
  22. Damn that's a nice truck, clean too! I love the GMT800 Sierra/Yukons but for some reason I think the new GMT900 Chevrolets look better, at least in SUV Form. Here's hoping you can get out of your lease but I think that GM is really trying to dump as many leases as they can so you might just luck out. Just ditch that ugly bedcover (!)
  23. Yeah a slightly used Deville/DTS would likely top out my shopping list.
  24. See now that's just chock full of win.
