What is your next car purchase? revisited...
Make sure that if applicable the recall on the engine bay fires is done...

Should I buy it...
I like that vintage of Seville.... but I much perfer the Lucerne CXS' more classic lines. You'd be surprised with your insurance for your son. I found out from my insurance company that it would be nearly 700$/year cheaper to insure myself on a 2008 Corvette Z06 than the G5 I currently drive (Figure that one out)

Either way, we're cool.
Mainly because for the most part (American Manufacturers have had their stinkers like the ION etc), the $h!ty Cars comment isn't true... at least IMO.

Ice Storm Aftermath
I think I know what you mean... I know when Hurrican Juan came through Halifax in 2003 it destroyed trees and parkland and it was kinda sad to see. http://flickr.com/photos/rexton/50362723/in/set-212898/

Good cars with a bad rap...

The Cobalt LS and G5 Base models don't come standard with an armrest either.- Anyone else notice how many Pontiac
Well as fate would have it I'm going to be in the Pontiac family for less time than expected. It's looking like I'll be returning my G5 for a 2008 Cobalt within a week.- It's up to you, Mr. President
I'll help.- Word Association
- Now what?
Funny I was just thinking of this comparo yesterday. The other thing is that in the United States there isn't like three mega airlines with fleets of 2000+ Aircraft that are intertwined with the economy. Rather than having GM, Ford, and Chrysler you have AA, United, US Airways, Southwest, Jetblue, Frontier, Spirit, USA3000, Delta-Northwest, Continental, Alaska-Horizon, AirTran and smaller outfits that I just don't remember right now. If one cuts the slack there's lots of American airlines to pick up the slack on domestic air travel... however there is no such guarantee that Ford would simply 'get' GM and Chrysler's former customers.- Auto "Bailout" Collapses.
Canada looks like it will give GM 6-7 Billion Canadian Dollars by the end of the year.- Now what?
"Bush officials warned wavering GOP senators earlier Thursday that if they didn't support the legislation, the White House will likely be forced to tap the Wall Street bailout to lend them money, two Republican congressional officials told CNN."- Now what?
- Aaargh, $%#@ G5
Thing is that I *am* under 25... and I checked with my insurance company on this (I'm already paying 5500$/year, even with a squeaky clean driving record, I'd actually pay less insurance with a G6 or Grand Prix than a Cobalt by several hundred dollars, why I don't know). It's true- Aaargh, $%#@ G5
More or less because my insurance is high enough as it is. Might me a 300/year added premium for a red car.- Take a look at this Camaro
Yeah and why does it have an RS Steering Wheel? Oh well, not to bicker on small things that's a truly amazing find!- Aaargh, $%#@ G5
You're telling me... It's a real load off my mind now that they have a definite answer for me... It bugs me that I will have been through 3 cars just in 2008 Alone.. But I can deal. I told the salesman whatever he finds it better not be red- What are you known for?
Rampant Individualism... Being Really Opinionated (I keep my political views off CnG)- Aaargh, $%#@ G5
Well I said I'd update this when something came of it... and sure enough it has. Salesman's wife had her baby recently and he had taken some time off but he called me today to say the owner of the dealer wants to make their mistake right to the tune of giving me a 2008 Leaseback GM Vehicle in exchange for my current G5. They said they're exploring the options but they're looking for a loaded G5/Cobalt , or perhaps a GP/G6 or even an Impala off of GM's fleet auctions to get down to Calgary and in my driveway ASAP. So I'm more than happy with the outcome.- Winter Driving
Ice scares the crap out of me... like yesterday. Here are some pics of my handiwork: Also in case anybody's wondering those Bridgestone Insignias are really $h!ty in the Snow, I took the G5 out with the Tripletreds this morning and grip was like night and day.- Don't Shoot Your Eye Out, Kid!
You're right! It's a 1970-1971 Vauxhall Viva 2-Door Saloon... Which was sold in Canada as the Envoy Epic and later the Vauxhall Firenza. My first reaction is of course "My God! How has it survived?"- Don't Shoot Your Eye Out, Kid!
I don't think it's an Opel or Vauxhall At least I don't think, I was thinking Morris Marina. - Saturn Astra audio
