Currently: Nightfall Gray Bolt when I was leaving work last night. I do like the Battleship Gray color on the 2019 Bolt. In the new trucks, GM is claiming moar square footage in their 5.5' bed than competitors' 6.5' beds. But it is mostly width. I suppose that is a good thing, except I think length is a more important truck bed measure. Balthy, you realize there will be a crewcab/6.5' bed config coming soon from GM, right?

Resembles a turd that's been in the desert for 23 years, baking in the sun. See? It's turned black.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Finally Arrives: Comments
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in LA Auto Show
I built mine: $73,259.00 for a base Sport with stick. No options. Turns out, doors and roof are bundled in an "all-weather" option package that also includes automatic parking, lane departure, auto-pilot, Yosemite Sam mudflaps and a dash-mounted hula girl for an additional $11,500. I could not see spending that much for a hula girl.- 14 replies

Great satisfaction. A real reward when it fires up and you hear it run.

You do so much research, and then you convey it in a concise, very readable style.

It's not really a fight. Proper documentation and they will pay.

You think I don't know about them? No it's stupid things. Not new things. Electric cars are not new. You must be new.- 86 replies

LOL the 2019 Toyota RAV4 has a camera mirror. GM innovates but then they actually do research and find out that there is no point. Electrics are not an advance. They are an inferior alternative.- 86 replies

Well then, you are guaranteed to have a yuge supplement. Those photo estimates are a giant waste of time. Our shop at least doubles every.single.one. The insurance company loves them... because they save so much money if the person doesn't actually fix the car.

Amplifies my point about electrics sapping the soul of "auto's" (sic) by homogenization. It's like NASCAR where the only thing different is the stickers on the body. Although Pininfarina has always been a coachbuilder AFAIK and has lost a good bit of relevance over the years.- 86 replies

Quoted for posterity. People at Nissan knew for years and it wasn't a problem until the time was right.

I did not forget my Amish. They are all around me. I was dodging road apples this afternoon, in fact.

Seems pretty darn brilliant to me: The Honda Passport just debuted at the auto show, and it is in production already! Way to strike while the iron's hot. GM could learn so much from this approach. Seems like the Blazer was shown 5 years ago. Now Chevy is going to need to rev up the media frenzy AGAIN, closer to actual availability of the product.
