  1. Wrote an estimate on a 2018 Outback with the Eyesight safety suite. Guy brought it in for his ol' lady. She changed lanes and sideswiped a car... said she was relying on the car to "beep" and let her know someone was over there... as opposed to using her eyeballs. This is why we can't have nice things. Nannies and crutches of all kinds are the devil, I say.
  2. I've always had a keen interest in styling proposals, to see if I can spot cues that eventually made production, or to lament over some of the really cool designs that got passed over in the process.
  3. I know, the Le Sabre is also shockingly teeny/low. Really cool.
  4. Like, when I get in a customer's conventional car now, I am like whoa dude, am I getting ol' or is this thing a PITA to get in and out of?
  5. I think it looks good in this trim guise. And it has the big block, so it should SCREAM.
  6. Hummers are fantastic
  7. I knew I was smrt. Even though I currently have a weak FWD-biased CUV, I would not be caught dead in a high priced German car or a crappy electric. Wrangler prices have been rising quickly over the last several years, but dang, look at them go and go and GO.
  8. I know, it absolutely amazed me how paralyzed people were on the roads. One lady just stopped her Altima literally in the lane of traffic and put her flashers on. She refused to move and with pantywaists going 10 MPH in the opposing lane it took forever to get around her. That is just one pathetic example. I have never seen people react that way over a snow storm that was predicted to happen. I got at least six inches here, which is more than predicted, and the temp dipped to 28 according to the Jeep (was predicted to not go below 32) but come on people, this is PENNSYLVANIA. There was an Expedition in the ditch, several little cars at various angles, ditched and smashed, a full size school bus, ass end in the ditch, leaning precariously... it was an absolute disaster. And Penndot started too late treating and clearing the roads, so by the time they got their butts in gear, all the roads were already absolutely gridlocked so they COULDN'T do anything.
  9. Hmmm... well, I hope there's no silly PHEV. The old Passport/Isuzu Rodeo wasn't too bad for the time I guess. Sounds like this one will be a transverse, FWD-biased muckety-muck. We'll see.
  10. New Wranglers in general are hella expensive. I'd rather have a Ram, I think, than this, for less money. Although if an extended cab with stick were to crawl in my bed I wouldn't kick it out.
  11. Cab and a half is what I'm calling for with 6.5 foot bed, and it has been strongly rumored.
  12. Current mood: took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to get home, normally takes about 40. Jeep took it like a champ... however the level of moronity on the roads today hit a new level. Roads were like parking lots everywhere I turned, with intermittent cars and SUVs in the ditches. I am going to be swamped @ work.
  13. Giant cab, tiny bed. Backwards priorities, imo. Need to see if there is a shorter cab/longer bed version before I love it. We still need a midsize Ram though. Different customers.
  14. When you can have an oil change done every 5k miles in less time than it takes to recharge an electric car every 238~ miles, and when it takes less than 5 minoots to fill a gas tank if I pay at the pump, why on this green earth would I change my mind? And as far as irrationality and hate go, I have no idear what you're talking aboot. Dfelt and I are like a balance shaft in a 1995 4.3L V6, you need both to keep things lubricated and running smooth there, compadre.
  15. Am I reading signs here? Has something happened?
  16. I was behind a white/black top first-gen Mustang convertible this morning, with an infant seat in the back seat. It was traveling 60 in a 50. Same trip to work this morning, I saw a '71 LTD 4-door in that neutral tan color they had, and a black vinyl roof.
  17. Oh believe me, since you're under a rock, this big roll-out will be met with singing crickets and not much more.
  18. Dfelt is one of those guys that would wish a recession, just so he could blame the president. And it is not the first time he has posted such claptrap. Deplorable.
  19. LOL I just got up now I'm sleepy again.
  20. Yeah no. Just no. Tesla manufactures junk for fools with too damn much money.
  21. New Jimny is totally rad, I love it. Was called Samurai in America back in the day.
  22. Gladiator is what I'm going with. Scrambler is not as "strong".
  23. Very nice rig. It is funny to me though that a steel front bumper is suddenly a selling point to set the Bison apart. GM never should have gone with car-style plastic covered bumpers on their midsize trucks to begin with. And the fact that Ford mentions their Ranger has steel bumpers on all trims tells me I'm right.
