  1. Dude... *facepalm* second paragraph is SARCASM.
  2. I am a yuge fan of the re-americanization of our luxury brands. However my thing with these pristine Lincoln interiors is... what are they going to look like after 5 years of constant use, with all those delicate light colored finishes and those puffy outlying seat cushions... the seat cushions will be all squashed and misshaped... for right now though, wow, it looks awesome, imo. Looking through the specs, I am starting to really respect the wisdom of switching to aluminum. Getting the curb weight down to 8656 lbs in a vehicle that covers this much territory is nothing short of a miracle.
  3. New Enclave, same as the old Enclave... the interior is very nice, and I am going to have to see a list of upgrades one gets for the Avenir trim level... to me it looks no more luxurious than the current top level Enclave. Wut am I missing?
  4. Prolly did. My luck. It's shown as a rendering, not a photo, but my window sticker is viewable. They're trying to keep me in the dark to "surprise me", but Homie don't play dat.
  5. OMG my new Compass has shown up on our Jeep store website in inventory!
  6. The transmission in my 3.6L truck is very reluctant to downshift, and I am not just talking about hooning. I am talking about trying to get up hills, of which there are plenty round here. Once it does though, it gits.
  7. Post photos of the Pacer X as soon as you get it home, please.
  8. Welcome. Sometimes you can stumble onto something good when you're lost.
  9. This can happen when different models are built on the same assembly line. We used to get "GMC 1500" and "Bowtie 1500" on opposing doors fairly often back in the day.
  10. Good question, I've been weighing my options while I wait for my new one.

Loki, good luck to you. Losing one's job is nerve wracking for sure. When the shop I worked at closed in 2012, it affected me longterm. I hope you can move on easily and land on your feet.
  12. 0-60 in under 6 seconds for the Tahoe RST... what a BEAST!
  13. The Torque II is the way nicest custom wheel out of the choices... but those Rallys with blackwall tires would be sweet, too. I like it!
  14. Balthy bemoans the VOLKSWAGEN ALLTRACK'S sales... by posting a link to the AUDI ALLROAD'S sales figures? I am impressed by the Sportback, 31 cu ft of cargo capacity with the rear seats UP? That is commodious as heck!
  15. word of the day: SEMANTICS. LOL To me, the fact that the XTS is the best selling Cadillac car proves my point: there is still a relatively healthy market for traditional American style luxury sedans... and in fact they are preferred over these wannabe Eurotrash pale copies from the same brand... it speaks loud and clear to me. BRING BACK THE FLEETWOOD! I am imagining a repackaged CT6 with a smooth, quiet V8, a smaller wheel size with more meat on the tire sidewall, and a rich cloth interior with a bench seat... ahhhh... what a dream -
  16. It is like they're building in a need for the perpetuation of rebates with this pricing scheme. Sad. The somewhat brawny new CR-V is proof you can have a CUV that appeals to both sexes, and the interior in the Honda is simply beautiful. Over here though I am anxiously awaiting my new Compass.
  17. New CR-V will easily remain king of the segment. Equinox is a bit of a miss, imo, with pricing... value for money spent, being an elephant in the room. I totally agree with Suave here. On the Camaro, there are only two iconic designs, and all other Camaros have been variations on them. First gen '67-'69 and second gen '70-'81. Third and fourth gen were riffs on the second gen ethos. 5 and 6 are riffs on the first-gen. Not to say that the competition isn't doing the same thing...
  18. Haha, what do you know... I took a square shovel and two bags of gravel out of my truck bed this morning... which means I had to open and close the tailgate... and the camera worked all day! Perhaps there is a loose connection somewhere. Or a loose nut behind the wheel?
  19. This thread is a fantastic walk down memory lane... all these familiar old member names that we haven't heard from in many moons.
  20. Spring is coming I suppose, you little tabarnak you.
  21. To me it skews too far toward feminine. Cooties. Plus it drags its belly in the dirt. Piggy.
  22. qu'est-ce que c'est?
  23. Well I was dubious at first but then I was like... this is handy. Anyhow, it is a federally-mandated thing either now or soon. I'm mad because this will likely affect trade-in value. It would go out but then start working if I rowed the gear shifter before on occasion, but today, it did not work at all, no matter how many times I tried it.
