  1. Care sharing? Sounds like the Hallmark Channel's movie of the week. "First 2014 Z/28 brings $650k @ auction. proceeds got to charity". I can GUARANTEE you all that will NEV.ER. be said for the first autonomous car. And therein lies the problem.
  2. Missing? Well, so far, they're missing from the lots. And my garage. I would like to see BFG All-Terrain T/A tires be optional on all 4X4 trims. They are a functional item, not just for looks. And a 6-speed manual transmission available in all trim levels and all engines, except maybe the GMC SLT. A tan cloth interior on the Chevy would be a nice addition. I do like the deluxe trim package Chevy has available for the W/T, with aluminum wheels and body color trim parts. AND A REGULAR CAB BODYSTYLE. With 6 and 7 foot bed lemfs.
  3. Here's to a great Sunday, doing what you want to do. Happy B-day, sir.
  4. "Effortlessness" should never be a goal of automotive ownership. The automobile should engage and stimulate the driver. It should only be effortless for the passengers. If the automobile doesn't engage and stimulate the driver, then it should be sent to the crusher.
  5. The 3.6TT, with a low slung AWD system, would be awesome underneath a GMC Canyon Syclone.
  6. I think the Dune concept is promising. If they build it with AWD, it would be killer. I like the LEDs that suggest tow hooks. The new F-150 looks great, IMO. You can bet it will continue Ford's light truck dominance (literally, with all that aluminum.) As far as the Toyota WTF-1 goes, hey, the Ambiguously Gay Duo called, they want their car back. The Cadillac ATS coupe is what a lot of us have been hoping for. It is Cadillac's redemption in our eyes, after the hideous, fat-assed CTS coupe. I do agree that the Honda Fit is much improved, and I hope the 6 speed manual makes it a more relaxed highway cruiser, while allowing it to give better fuel mileage relative to others in its class. The new Fit interior is far above the current car.
  7. Use the train then, if you don't like driving. "Self driving" cars defeat the entire purpose of purchasing an automobile as personal transportation.
  8. Here's a video of the upscale interior with real wood trim.
  9. Here's a YouTube vid of the new Chrysler 200C on the road. It is a huge step up for the 200. Looks great!
  10. 6:15 tonight, started the car to leave work. "Low coolant" light immediately came on. Haven't seen anything on my garage floor. Checked overflow tank... empty. I could not get back into work, everything was locked up, so I drove to the VW dealer. Of course, the only department open was sales. So I insisted that someone get me some coolant. The sales manager went back into the service dep't and got me an unopened jug of coolant and I filled the overflow tank. Kept the DIC on coolant temp readout on the way home, it didn't go over 194 degrees, which is normal. Not sure if it wasn't properly filled, if there is a leak I've been unable to see, or if there was a bubble in the system that eventually burped. But, I will be on the phone in the morning.
  11. Is this thing built from those repro Mustang bodies Ford has licensed for manufacture to an outside company?
  12. We're talking like 7 years ago. Talk about another opportunity lost... oh well, bring it on, let's see what they've got.
  13. Another home made project like the Fisker, only this one has a desirable powertrain.
  14. After speaking with a handsome ginger VW service advisor at another dealership, I got the gist of what was done. A moisture sensor is installed in the intake system duct work. If water is detected on start-up, the intercooler is bypassed to prevent it from being sucked into the air intake, and extra plumbing is put in for that purpose. As far as where the water goes, I am not sure of that. Perhaps it evaporates eventually, or is dumped.
  15. Shoot, I felt a familiarity when looking at the front end. Then it dawned on me.
  16. Now that is a real beauty. Honest, simple, classy, elegant, yet with just the right amount of drama. This is what I was hoping for! My new wallpaper. And look... an actual trunk lid!
  17. Congratulations, Moltie.
  18. From what we've been told, the next 300 will share cues with this.
  19. yo balthy, have a rockin' b-day, sir
  20. I am not saying it doesn't look good, but I see so many other cars in it. I see a mash-up of MKZ and Impala in the rear... it has the fashionable, low, long roof six window design that is the fad right now.
  21. The exterior definitely has kept an evolutionary look. I think it looks great. The interior still has that "in a million pieces" look of the current truck. I prefer GM's clean and simple truck interior to Ford's.
