I have great conversations with myself :AH-HA_wink: I thought it was discussed recently that in 2008 (not the model year, but the actual year), the plant was being shut down to be retooled and updated to build the ep2, and then the NG LaCrosse would debut in winter 2009.

Okay, I take that back.. what would make sense is throwing the 5.3L under the hood for the CXS and making the 3.6L standard for the CX and CXL. Fat chance though.

It'd really be stupid if they went out of their way to make such a dramatic change to the car if it's only going to be produced one more year, since it's taking a vacation for 2009. I can understand maybe a new grille/headlights for 2008, but to introduce such a dramatic change for 1 year? Seems like a waste.

I really can't wait to see.

Just look at the console. If those lights aren't lit, then your parking lamps and/or headlights are off.

I think LEDs gives the creator some flexibility to be unique with taillamps. One thing I don't like about Buick's are that the brake lights and directionals are the same lamp. I like it when you have them separate. Call it silly, but it's just a preference. As for LEDs, I understand they wanted the jeweled look... but again, do something creative. Besides, LEDs are nice because they last a lot longer.

It really ticks me off that the car parks itself. Only cause I'm really sick of people not putting any effort into their driving. Park your f@#king car yourself. I swear, it's one thing to have your car alert you of how close you are to things behind you--it's another to rely on it to drive it for you. I swear, there should be mandatory driving tests everytime you have to renew your license. I guarantee some would fail. Then again, when it comes to parallel parking, I wonder if you can just put the auto-park feature on during your road test and still pass?

So, what it boils down to, is are we getting a new grille for `08, or not? I realize the 3800 is going to stay the base engine, that won't change, but I hope cosmetically they change the car a bit.

Isn't it lightyears better?! I have yet to see it in person, but at least in pictures it looks a lot richer, and even more realistic! Thank God for that!Maybe for `08, if they refresh the exterior, we'll get to see the new corporate radio inside as well, and maybe some other tweaks to the center stack like the new HVAC controls (although I don't necessarily dislike the current ones, I do feel there are too many little buttons--some can be combined into larger switches like the temperature control).
