How do we add new smileys?
I like the one that's mooning us, and I kinda like the drool/drowning one... but that's about it.

OMG Nick! I just noticed there were Chevy Bowties on the girls breasts in your signature! I mean, for months and months, I had been almost hypnotized by their bouncing, but today I was able to look past it, and notice your salute to Chevy

How do we add new smileys?
Yay... I love smilies :) I'm always finding new ones I'd love to see up on the board. Maybe I'll post a few. By the way, what is this one supposed to mean: ^_^ Giddy?

Should C&G review cars?
I think all manufacturers should be tested--this way it's a fair comparison of what the competition offers and how it behaves/handles, etc. I like the idea of people doing reviews. It's always nice to see non-professional pictures and reviews to get a realistic idea of what a car is like.

Can Martha Stewart help sell Buicks?
*softly spoken* "And tonight ladies and gentlemen, we will be learning how to make faux wood for the interior trim of a Buick LaCrosse out of ordinary candle wax, chewing gum, and cinnamon sticks. But first, a word from my Paroll Officer, errr.... my sponser." Okay people, now I'm worried about this, did the joke land alright or did I just make an ass out of myself? :P

Can Martha Stewart help sell Buicks?
Yeah, that might be nice if I didn't have to spend like $44,000 on it. How about a LaCrosse that has something powerful like that... maybe a CXS with the 3.6L that gets 260hp and has magnetic ride control for about 32K?

Can Martha Stewart help sell Buicks?
I don't know.. I mean, if I were Buick, I'd be ashamed of their products right about now. There's nothing exciting. There's nothing unique. I mean, the only reason I still have interest in them is because I'm a huge Buick fan--but man, they are having a hard time keeping me interested.

Lucerne ordering guide up
Ven, you have some awesome suggestions. I'd like to see the grille revised on the LaCrosse to match the Lucerne. I like the idea of the 2.8 being available as a base engine. The 3.6 should be bumped up in hp as you suggested, and available for the CXL. I'm just confused as to what's going to happen when the 3.8 is done after this year? I just hope the 3900 doesn't get thrown in, or the 3500 become a LaCrosse/Lucerne base. Time to show the world that Buick indeed can be premium.

Lucerne ordering guide up
Okay, so a Rendezvous change. Whoopie. I want a sedan. And I doubt they're going to give the LaCrosse some more edge stylewise or some more features (besides maybe a freaking NAV and the 6-speed auto), to pursuade me otherwise.

Test driving a DTS tomorrow
Can't wait!! :)

Lucerne ordering guide up
Well, it's frustrating. To be honest, the DTS refresh should have been packed more than it was. The Lucerne should have had more standard than it does, and a little more offered than it does. The LaCrosse should have had more than it does. HELLO, NAV?! I would buy it if it came in the LaCrosse. And I'm not bumping myself up to a freakin' Lucerne just to get it. What sucks is, the 2006 Impala LT seems like a better buy for me than a LaCrosse would. I never thought I'd say there isn't a Buick out there for me.

Info from a reliable source.
When is this "conference"?

Lucerne ordering guide up
Ugh, was checking out more details. Can you believe, there is no option for a telescopic steering wheel? Just a manual tilt. They improved their standard features, but for a car at this price range, I would expect a few more things standard, like telescopic steering wheels, a 6-cd changer, etc. Not impressed.

Lucerne ordering guide up
Only as a CXS? That's absurd. Just make the damn colors available on each trim and be done with it. The fact that they were straying away from the two choices of neutral/gray was such a big deal for me as I was getting bored with those. But giving restraints towards which trims can have whichever colors... almost as bad.

Lucerne ordering guide up
If I remember correctly, the 2005 Deville had a special edition in which it had a grayish-blue interior treatment--seats included. When I read about "tuxedo blue", I naturally assumed it would be this way in the Lucerne. Oh, and ROCK ON about the heated woodgrain steering wheel! :)

Buick 2006 - 2010
Well, I feel Buick should have 3 sedans. Period. I just don't like them having choice a or choice b for sedans. It's like "do you want a car with all? Or do you want a car with practically nothing?" I think the Lucerne would make a great extry lux car, which ranges to 40, and then they should have a luxury car that goes from 40-52K. IMHO.

Buick 2006 - 2010
Cananopie, I totally agree with your statement. Buick needs more. For a while now I've been feeling that Buick is hiding something from us--and I'm hoping that's the case. I just have been sitting on this hope, thinking that there will be some phenominal sedan that will blow us away, make the Lucerne look like a joke in comparison, and show all the glory that Buick once was, and should be again. I'm talking flagship here. I'm talking RWD, 6-speed auto, silent, loaded with features--and no copping out w/ things like 1 auto window down, or cloth base or manual climate control base, etc. Power, 300-350hp. Style. Flair. Room--more room--larger, FULL-SIZE sedan, huge trunk that could hold a Focus in. Navigation. DVD entertainment available. Massaging rear seats. Heated/cooled cupholders. LED taillamps. Heated steering wheel. Rear auto climate controls. Surround sound. Woods/textures that totally blow peoples' minds. Leather that feels like butter to the touch. You get my point. Just bring it on!

GOOOO BUICK!
Thanks Ven! Wow, the Corian is pretty amazing--there are so many choices. I would love to see some interesting textures/treatments in Buicks. Using a different type of treatment in the car is what sets a car aside from its competition, and makes it stand out. I know if I had a car with an interior treatment that was interesting, I would get a lot of friends to consider buying one. After all, who doesn't want something that is extremely reliable, high quality (hey, it's a Buick!), and looks cool? :)

LOVE the Roadmaster name! When I hear the name, I think of size, power, luxury and isolation :)

The Return to the US market update post
Okay, this might be flimsy to go on, but I was taking the Content Special Test in Italian for my Teacher's License, and there was an article I had to read regarding Alfa Romeo's return to the U.S. market... that it wasn't gone for good, but rather delayed. I believe I read something about a 2007-08 attempt? But now who knows if this is a fictional article. They usually don't put fictional things on the exam (except for the conversations and writing scenarios), and if it was really coming so soon (in 2 years), you think we'd hear more about it. If I find anything out, I'll let ya know :)
