  1. Scion had the iQ. Mitsu's electric 4dr is the i-MiEV
  2. So 3rd row seats are standard on Tahoes? Would have thought they would have been optional, a waste of space for those that don't need them..
  3. Saw a Chevy City Express van up close for the first time today...fencing contractor showed up in a red one.
  4. EQ..that's the name I was trying to think of... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_EQ
  5. Wrap around and do Z-, X-, Y- class... IIRC, I read they plan to have a different naming scheme/subbrand for EVs.
  6. They could make Smart an all-EV family car brand...small sedan, hatchback, and CUV...a tiny 2 seater just limits the sales potential. They definitely haven't built the brand to it's potential.
  7. I can't imagine Alfa winning over BMW once it's unreliability and quality problems are factored in...
  8. True, UConnect has been improved and the older systems can only upgrade to a certain level...Apple Car Play would be nice, but I live without it.
  9. So far I'm happy w going the CPO route w my 14 GC. The differences between the 14 and 17 are prettty minor.
  10. LoL...I remember doing my teenage Yuppie wannabe thing in high school in the late 80s w/ Izod shirts w/ the little alligator and Ralph Lauren shirts w/ the polo ponies..still wore Ralph through my 30s.. had my Members Only jacket in the 80s also.. (now what passes for fashion in my wardrobe are t-shirts and polos from long-gone tech companies and past tech conferences..now those are cool IMO...)
  11. The oldest Yuppies are in their 60s now...
  12. 'yuppies' were an '80s-90s thing...don't the hip kids today aspire to Teslas and prefer Uber to driving?
  13. And others... the 3 steel plants in Cleveland (less than 10 miles from me) are owned by ArcelorMittal, a multinational of European and Indian origin... never saw anything like that in Arizona or Colorado, neat to drive by them, reminds me of as a kid living in Steubenville seeing the mills along the Ohio River and going to Pittsburgh...
  14. Well, a lot of people put down deposits on the Tesla 3 (an EV compact). (the Smart is more of a sub-sub compact or Kei car)
  15. Interesting...there is some plausibility to a Chinese company that has no presence here buying parts of FCA, seems more likely than an existing US market automaker that would have too much overlap. I couldn't see GM, Ford, the German big 3, or any of the Japanese or Korean car makers interested in FCA--they already have existing product lines that likely wouldn't be helped by adding Jeep or Ram. Maybe PSA? Would give them a footprint in NA... I'd like to see CDJR return to US-based ownership, but can't see how that would happen...things didn't go so well under Cerebus...
  16. The 6th gen Camaro has side windows even smaller than the 5th gen, I think..the chopped top look is so impractical...and the grille is oversized and juvenile--looks like it is a large fish trying to swallow smaller fish..painfully ugly plastic cheese front end, as bad as the predator shit from Lexus, IMO.. The Camaro may be a great performer, but the styling is dreadful, IMO.
  17. Though angled, the Audi lights resemble the Chrysler 300, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Rolls Royce lights...which is funny how those 3 all have similar toilet handle shapes.
  18. The funny thing is they all had the same headlights...sealed beam round bulbs. Not much individuality after all.
  19. Only if they are brown wagons w/ manuals. (it's been written that the auto journalist's unicorn is a brown diesel manual wagon).
  20. Saw a blue w/ white stripes 2nd gen Dodge Viper coupe parked on a residential street yesterday afternoon..
  21. A 5-spd manual? In 2017? Does it also come with a cassette deck? Trying to party like it's 1985?
  22. Cube
  23. Nice for a non-CUV... I used to work w/ someone that had a '15 RLX, was a nice comfy commuter car...
  24. Seems like a lot of work to sell maybe 20 cars? Doesn't look anything like the red cross emblem.
  25. The 3 series has become too expensive as an entry-level lux sedan, and the 2 series has been 2drs only...so it makes sense to have an entry level sedan. Though the X1 will probably outsell it.
