    XT3 seems like a better name than XT4, though....keep them all odd numbers...4 would be inconsistent....3,5,7. ---plus this leaves room for coupes at 4,6,and 8...

    I don't see a need for a subcompact Caddy either, considering that they have given up on selling in Europe and other markets that prefer small vehicles. Getting into the coupe niche would be purely a style and trendy play---I don't see it happening, but a sleek XT5 variation could be interesting....

    No, I mean room with the existing wheelbases/platforms...Chevy is going to be pretty full with the Blazer, but there is room for a subcompact and full size at GMC (the latter of which is more likely to happen), a midsize at Buick, and a compact and full size at Cadillac (which is likely to happen)....whether or not they need them or they would sell, is another story. (There is also room for coupe versions ala the Mere GLC and GLE coupes, should they decide to jump on that ultra-niche bandwagon... in today's CUV-mad market, I could see that happening--let your imagination run wild..) No one said they are matching the Bronco with the Blazer..this Blazer is an Edge competitor.

    Wheelbase is a better measure than overall length...GM currently has CUVs with these wheelbases: subcompact: 100.6 (Trax and Encore) compact: 107.3 (Equinox, Terrain, Envision*) midsize: 112.5 (Blazer (presumably), Acadia, XT5) full size: 120.9 (Traverse, Enclave) and in a parallel reality, they have the full size BOF SUVs. So there is some room to add more CUVs for all the brands if they wish. Cadillac is getting a compact (XT3) and a full size (XT7) I believe.... (disturbingly, the Envision is listed as 108.3 in some sources..why the 1 inch descrepancy?)

    One sleeper idea I've thought would be fun to build would be an '80s or '90s Town Car w/ the padded top, wire wheels and whitewalls..go full grandpa in the appearance but with a healthy 5.0 or 4.6 under the hood...a 'Hot Rod Lincoln'..

    In a similar vein to the Buick T-Type, the Mustang LX 5.0 in the 80s-90s was a sleeper...without the GT trim, it looked like a base 4 cyl if you didn't notice the tiny 5.0 badges and dual exhausts. Most of them got heavily modified and lost any 'sleeper' status they had as new, though.

    In a similar vein to that Buick, there was a subtly modified dark red '78 Impala coupe for sale last year, someone had put a 425hp 383 in it...loved the look, blackwall tires w/ steelies and dog dish hubcaps.     Well, a facelifted Anorak with FCA engines would be a cheap way to get Ram a smaller pickup...no worse than using rebadged Mitsubishis of yore...

    The GLE is totally impractical, but I'm oddly attracted to it..it's sort of a personal luxury coupe of CUVs... (another body style that was totally impractical when compared to a sedan), Coupes--whether 2dr, 4dr, or 5dr hatchback CUVs---are about style more than function.     Like the Merc GLE 'coupe'...damn sexy, but not as practical as it's upright GLE sibling... though I can imagine a GC 'coupe' could be fun... Thinking outside the box, if Chevy wants to get in on the CUV 'coupe' market, how about a sporty, 'personal' luxury fastback version of this new Blazer, name it Monte Carlo? Now that would be fun...

    Random anecdote--I had a coworker w/ a Murano in Scottsdale, went out to lunch in it a few times a week over the last 2 years...good passenger space in the back, though the cargo space seemed compromised by the roof shape as did the rear/side visibility (the backup camera is a must). Anyway, the CUV/SUV market is hot right now, plenty of room for lots of models in the midsize space, both 2- and 3- row models... the Blazer can only help Chevy and GM's market position... As far as the name goes, I'd like to see Blazer used on a midsize BOF SUV based off the Colorado like Ford is doing w/ the Ranger-based Bronco, but I can understand getting something to market fast using an existing CUV platform...

    Durango is a 3 row midsize, as is the Explorer, Highlander, etc.....definitely smaller than full size models like the Expedition or Tahoe..

    Personally, I prefer the boxier SUVs...they can look stylish without compromising cargo space..the Grand Cherokee is stylish but still upright with decent cargo space..I've used every square inch of that cargo space a few times....

    I think that is a custom or a photoshop..I don't think there is a current production Mini pickup. Another interesting idea would be a modern 'mini pickup' in the sense of the ones from the 70s-80s like the Datsun 620, Toyota Hilux, Ford Courier, Chevy Luv or S10...i.e. a compact truck. I would think there would be a market for such a truck, the Ford Ranger sold here well for a long time, even as ancient as it was...

    A pickup version of the Countryman or Clubman could be an interesting plot twist for Mini. The original Mini had a pickup version in the 60s.

    The Dodge brand has the performance image, the minivan could be branded either as a Chrysler or Dodge w/ a few changes. The Journey isn't long for this world and seems redundant w/ Jeep crossovers. I like the 300, but I don't know if they can maintain a brand with only 1-2 models long term....
