Meeting at work this afternoon was pretty random. 2 hr IT dept quarterly meeting with a bunch of slides about statistics on backups and help desk stuff in the offices in the Caribbean, which has very little to do with my development efforts here...

Hmmm. Don't see the emoticon options on mobile. My all time favorite is the toilet one. :toilet: (guessed the name. ) Do we have a poo emoticon? Need one.

Disagreement is core to human communication. Would be boring with a bunch of agreeable yes men.

I saw a couple kids walk down my street yesterday, glued to their phones..one on a skateboard...I bet they were Pokemon Going---no sane person would be out walking around on a 112+ degree afternoon...

Vaguely remember that song--never heard of Saliva--maybe heard it in a movie or tv show (Edit--it was in Fast & The Furious and Talledega Nights--remember it from those)..don't think I'd seen the video before. One woman in a music video that sticks in my mind was in Meat Loaf's 'I'd Do Anything for Love'...looked like Christy Turlington. Also remember the Chris Issak video w/ Helena Christensen...

The ATS is RWD entry premium and it's target market is singles and DINKs...so the rear seat space is less important than it would be with a family sedan like the Malibu...the ATS's competition all are pretty tight in the back...

Item: Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4
Robert Hall replied to Robert Hall's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Jeep is still going...165k today, on a sunny 115 degree day. It's still running, a bit worn and tired, just like me. August 3rd will make 16 years since I bought it... -
Was at an intersection this morning between a dark red Challenger Hellcat and a new Jaguar F-Pace (first I'd seen of the new CUV). Both had very different, but appealing exhaust notes as they pulled away...

Given the area, I'm surprised they were going the right direction. I have never lived in an area with so many wrong way driver accidents. Lots of bad drivers in Az. The heat bakes their brains.

Yeah, I was going the speed limit in heavy Sunday afternoon traffic...winding divided freeway section w/ a 6% grade...no truck escape ramps like on I-70 in Colorado... I glanced in the rear view mirror and saw this massive chrome front end bearing down on me (I think it was a Western Star)...the left lane had no room to get in, so I got on the yellow lane divider to give him enough room to get past....I think he brushed the guard rail (several 100 ft drop off into Black Canyon there)...it looked like the brakes on the trailer were gone...lots of pungent brake smoke....(had the sunroof open and smelled it)... talk about a white knuckle experience. Another thought--the driver may have been distracted playing Pokemon Go.

I've used Uber a few times....twice in San Francisco when I was there for a conference w/ 4 others---we took Uber Suburbans from the airport to the hotel, etc. Also used it in Denver last year to go to and from the airport and the football stadium when I day tripped for a Broncos game...no problems..

After a few days up in the mountains, on my way back to Phoenix yesterday I almost got run over by a semi on I-17... Felt like I was in the movie 'Duel' for a few seconds of terror. Coming down the twisty section of I-17 south of Sunset Point, almost got run over by a semi. I think his brakes were cooked from the descent. Squeezed over to left side of the right lane--60 mph traffic in the left lane) so he could go by on the right breakdown lane. He blew past on the right, brake smoke trailing and sparks flying.. Close call, he didn't use his horn....I just looked in the rear view and saw a huge chrome front bearing down.... He kept going w brake smoke trailing then got off at an exit 1/2 mile later.... I went on to the next exit and stopped at the well known Rock Springs Cafe for a beer and some pie and to relax...

If it is 'Ch' it looks like it could be 'Chreman'.

Looks like it could be an upper case 'I' also. As an aside, cursive handwriting is an almost lost art today..

Looks like Ignac Lebreman or maybe Ignace Lieberman? http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?gl=allgs&gsfn=Ignace&gsln=Lieberman&gss=seo&ghc=20

I've seen a few offbeat oldies the last few days driving around town... a rough 59 Edsel 2dr sedan in primer gray w/ red trim and red wheels a very rough 60 Pontiac 2dr sedan in faded red w/ white top, no bumpers, lifted in the rear, a blower hat sticking through the hood what appeared to be an all original, faded/oxidized lt blue '63 Plymouth wagon a white '73 Ranchero 500 w/ a white bed cap

LoL...great description...sexy wagon, makes me think of hot 40 something Scandavian women..
