I thought about the Galaxies, but I didn't want to go down the Samsung path..that would be like going with Hyundai or Kia cars, IMO...

CUVs and SUVs...same divide every other automaker has fostered over the last decade or so...

When my Droid Razr Maxx was still useable, I found Dolphin to be a better browser. But over time, like my first Droid, everything got slower and crashier...too much hanging and blank screens. I tried 4 years w/ Android--Motorola Droid 1 then Motorola Droid Razr Maxx-- that was enough with that $h!. No more Android, no more Windows for me..I've sold out to Cupertino...

At work (1st floor, large glass windows 20 feet away) I'm getting 3 bars for Verizon, 4 for AT&T. Much better than 3 years ago where I was at a client 2 stories underground--no reception there--I'd have to shut off my cell phone or it would drain the battery trying to find a tower...

Biggest surprise was 1 bar on Verizon and 3 on AT&T when at home.

I've only seen a couple of those 9-5s in person, very attractive design IMO..

^ Neat..one of those 'And now you know' trivia items.. I can't recall when I've seen one of these in person. I do see a sharp silver '65 Jetstar I in Scottsdale occasionally. The '65-66 Starfires were neat looking cars, similar roofline to the Grand Prix of those years.

This morning I saw a new 2nd gen silver Ford Transit Connect passenger version..first one of these I've seen, looks quite different from the 1st gen model...one neat detail is it has a wiper on each rear door window... on the way home saw a gorgeous tastefully customized '59 Caddy Coupe de Ville gliding down a major street---lowered w/ large chrome TTs and painted an incredible indigo blue...

different carrier. different signal strength, noticed I get a better signal w/ one over the other in parking garages, buildings, etc.

After my Droid Razr Maxx died last week I replaced it with a silver iPhone5S. Been happy so far..it's interesting to compare the 5S on Verizon w/ my work 5 on AT&T.

Prices on W111 SE coupes seems to be all over the place, depending on the engine...from under $10k to around $50k on Hemmings. The cabrios, on the other hand, seem to be considerably higher--$65-90k or so... I had a teacher when I was in the 4th grade that had one--minty condition, around a '62 in a lilac color (similar to 1965 GM Evening Orchid).

Yeah, lots of interesting natural places to go...and interesting little towns like Hell, Frankenmuth, Bad Axe, and Port Austin..I enjoyed the occasional road trip around the thumb or up north to various points on the mitten or the UP during my 3 years in Ann Arbor back in the '90s.

I'd consider the Juke in this niche, along w/ the Soul...how about the 500L and Countryman? Or are they too big. .

I saw a white Trax a few weeks ago..look pretty good for a mini ute. I wonder if Ford will now bring the Ecosport or B-Max here.

Congrats on the move and good luck in Michigan!

Saw two interesting Cadillacs at the grocery this morning..first was a clean pale yellow '69-70 Coupe de Ville--no vinyl top, fender skirts or hubcaps...looked like a resto in progress, like it had been recently painted. The other was a dark gray ELR--the first one I'd seen up close in person--looks great, IMO.

Or the V-sport..

Saw this in an email regarding an upcoming Mecum auction..pretty neat, Cadillac had the monochromatic look w/ black wheels going on 94 years ago... http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=HA0414-178966&utm_source=emv&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=HA0414-T126

Rumorpile: HSV To Transition To Chevrolet
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Heritage Marques
Hmmm...will HSV become CSV? Makes me think of a popular file format for spreadsheets.. -
Better, more consistent service. The ability to let people actually buy a car online. Less wait-times, as dealers have to 'swap' models if a customer wants something that isn't on the lot, requiring additional negotiations; corporate stores wouldn't have those problems. Also, maybe it would also eliminate the price haggle bull$h!. Just a standard price across all stores for the same model and equipment level.

Had a few first time sights this past week--a white Chevy Traxx--neat looking little CUV, a new white Tahoe--quite a change from the outgoing model parked beside it at the Chevy store, and across the street at the Cadillac store--a gray ELR...very dramatic look for such a tiny car.. Whilst out for lunch today saw a gorgeous red on red '67 Impala convertible, top down, w/ Rallys but w/ '68-69 center caps.

Probably some beancounter did the math and determined it was cheaper to do nothing than do a redesign. Also in big companies it's often better for one's career to say nothing, do nothing in a situation like this than rock the boat. Lots of CYA at work in these old style companies...

Congrats. I've been happy using Macs for work for the last few years and at home sometimes..trying to get off of Windows completely. I couldn't imagine using Windows for work.... the best part of the Mac is that it has a real Unix-based operating system.
