  1. Or Arizona...clean bodies out here, though the interiors are often damaged by the nuclear sun...
  2. I guess you have to ask yourself if you have the time, space and tools for such a project..and how much you would able to do yourself vs outsourcing...
  3. Cool.. my company's holiday gift was its usual $200 in casino gaming chips...
  4. I am trying to walk more, esp. now while the weather is good before 5 months of horror begins in May.. try to walk to lunch when at work as much as possible. I've cut out sodas and trying to cut back on high carb foods--though I did eat out a lot and eat very well over holiday season. I'm at 6'0"/240 right now, with my goal to take off 20 lbs this year....I've taken off about 5 lbs in the last 6 months, I've noticed my size 40 waist jeans are too loose now. My long term goal is to get back to where I was at age 30--185 lbs, but that is going to take some work. Unfortunately, my work is very sedentary in nature..
  5. I like the look of those curved computer monitors...that 43 inch would be nice. At work I have 2 27 inch Apple Thunderbolt monitors on highly adjustable arms.
  6. Though the curved TVs don't seem solve the issue of visibility from the sides..as they are convex..the ones shown were over 100 inches I think.
  7. One thing out of CES I've thought interesting but probably more of a solution in search of a problem--curved screens...curved screen phones and TVs. Don't really see the point. And along w/ curved screens, flexible screens seem to be another trend...
  8. It appears to have a GMC badge in the grille between the lights..shocking.
  9. And Coinye West.. $h!coin and variations have gotten a lot of press the last couple of years, but I'm skeptical of any 'currency' that isn't backed by a government.
  10. Nice..haven't seen one like that. Dark green was a color on the original SHO..Conan O' Brien has one. I found this line in an Autoblog article from 2009.. One of the exclusive colors available will also be Atlantis Green, which Ford says was inspired by the Deep Emerald Green seen on many second-generation (1992-1995) SHO models.
  11. And the few Russian brands, though they don't seem to be pursuing much outside of the CIS..
  12. There are always buyers out there for whom Hyundai and Kia are too expensive, so there will be buyers for the cheapest new cars. I'm really surprised a Chinese company hasn't inked a deal to sell their cars through Wal-Mart, since WM is expert at peddling Chinese crap.
  13. This is a private device, so I suppose the police would need a court order to use the data... No? In theory, yes..but in practice..
  14. It's pretty funny and pretty weird to see a Prius given the backyard redneck repair treatment...just seems so out of place.
  15. Saw a black '14 CTS parked on the street in Old Town Scottsdale tonite...first I'd seen up close off of a dealer's lot..looked sharp. It was later behind me in traffic...love the lighting at night. One small detail I don't like on the new CTS that I notice each time I see one is the grille badge placement...it should be centered vertically in the grille rather than at the top, IMO...the badge at the top of the grille is a Toyota styling cue..
  16. I assume any videos will also be automatically streamed to the NSA data centers.. I could see this being used by the police to auto-generate tickets.
  17. True enough, but being an MB they have to have an AMG version... the regular GLA will be the volume model. It is odd to see the AMG badge on a 4 cyl model, though..not really serious enough to be AMG, IMO.
  18. Some bizzaro stuff there...the stapled steering wheel cover is wild--maybe it was a wheel that someone cut the airbag out of ?
  19. The reflection of grass and trees could be making it look greenish...I like that gray. One recent Challenger color I like that I noticed the other day is a very dark purplish blue, kind of an indigo..
  20. Maybe it's a secret recall..
  21. ^ Interesting..haven't seen either of those models in a dark green...would like to see more dark greens available. Googling turned up a 'Green With Envy' color in 2011 for the Challenger, but it's not very dark.. http://www.cars.com/dodge/challenger/2011/colors
  22. I've driven a couple of '12 rentals, incl. one from Chicago to Indianapolis and back in May '12. I recall they drove pretty nicely and had more power than the dozen or so previous Impy rentals I'd driven...
  23. It was only about 45 degrees this morning, but my two coworkers w/ Miatas drove them in to the office w/ tops down. Wore their motorcycle helmets and heavy coats.
  24. Wow...that's a lot of miles in just 4 years. It took me under 10 years to get my '00 Jeep to 100k, and since then almost 4 more to get to 150k. It's the only vehicle I've ever taken past 100k...
  25. It is just flaky from the driver side controls? Basically, if you sit in the front passenger seat and operate the window and locks, do they operate reliably? It could just be the driver door switch panel going bad. $45 for a reman on Ebay. I think that is what it is... the door lock button on the driver side controls seems to work intermittently as does the power window switches there...but I have tested from the back seat and passenger seat and they work..
