  1. They now have 2 of those 'Cars and Coffee' events around here...will have to go to one sometime.
  2. Wow...I couldn't imagine life w/o coffee...I normally have 3-4 cups every morning. I recently got a Keurig single cup machine for home, was impressed w/ the one at work. Also have a cappichino machine and a regular coffee maker at home. But the ease of the drive thru is hard to avoid, w/ 3 Starbucks, a Dunkin Donuts, and a couple McDonalds all close to home..
  3. Interesting....speaking of tractors, was GM ever in the farm equipment biz back in the early days?
  4. HSV Grange. (a cool Holden Caprice variation)
  5. Would be more interesting without the wierd customizing.
  6. When I was growing up, my folks always had Snapper riding mowers...the newer ones had a battery and key start...I like Snappers because they are rear engined and RWD.. IIRC, they had self-propelled Sears push mowers for light-duty work also.
  7. Today was a bit 'cooler', mid 90s after 3 100+ degree days. Too soon for summer...
  8. Can't tell if the headlights are on or those are pool lights...neat pool.
  9. Non-sequitor thread? I have some content in my shed..leaf blower, hoses, pool supplies, battery charger, etc...but I keep it locked...
  10. Hard to tell, but the front looks pretty tall and flat...should have made it more rounded like the new Colorado..
  11. Scion has always seemed somewhat redundant, what with similar compacts and subcompacts available as Toyotas (Corolla, Yaris, Matrix).
  12. Beautiful car...I love the bubbletop, the rear quarters and the skegs..so cool.
  13. Wow...Parisian Oldsmobiles. Cool. Reminds me of when I saw a couple '80s Caprices and '80s F-150s in Florence, Italy...
  14. It could have been a white, blue or gold car that was repainted. White w/ turquise interior seems to be have been a popular GM color combo in the '60s.
  15. I think if the actual pillar had differered, the front and or rear door uppers would have been different..door openings and pillars are a very expensive thing to change from what I've read. The '77+ FBs had the same wheelbase as the DVs, unlike the previous generation where there were different wheelbases...
  16. The '77-79 FB B-pillar looked different than the SdV because of an overlay that was part of the vinyl top, I think... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Fleetwood_Brougham
  17. Imagine the disaster if the condom truck had crashed into the lube truck...
  18. Getting back on topic, it sounds like the new CTS will be similar in size to the current one w/ most of the same engines as the ATS.
  19. IIRC, didn't the Taurus fail in Australia?
  20. Nah, FWD for my sister...I'll drive it some, but I'm sticking w/ RWD and 4WD.. She's had FWD cars in the past (Saab 900 Turbo, Acura Legend) along w/ RWD (several Datsun/Nissan Zs, the Benzes,Jeep Liberty, a Pinto)...
  21. I didn't realize Cadillac was using the diesel before 1980..
  22. Impossible; it's FWD generica !! Nice color, nice turbine blade wheels, and this one has the muted 'crystallized' tails with the LEDs beneath, right? Classy; you don't see the discount, off-shelf strip of LEDs most of the others think look fantastic (Caddy too, since). Those tails were totally distinctive, I was disappointed they didn't continue/spread with Cadillac. Yes, has the LED taillights and quad tailpipe tips. It was a one owner car, garage kept and well maintained from the appearances. I looked all over it yesterday, a few small scratches and chips, no dents I could see..it doesn't look like anyone ever sat in the backseat...no leather scratches or scuffs inside.
  23. After 10 years w/ two vintage Mercedes, my sister decided this week that she'd had enough of the money pits and decided to she wanted something newer and more reliable for the 50 mile per day commute (been working locally for a while instead of out of town). Working cold air conditioning was a top priority w/ today being the first 100 degree day of the season. So this is now in the driveway..I ran the car fax, it came up clean. It's a very clean, one owner '00 DTS, 96k miles. I drove it for about an hour tonight around town and on the freeway, it drives great..very smooth and quiet. I guess I will have to take back all the mean things I've said about FWD Caddies. Cabernet red w/ oatmeal interior.
