  1. Looks solid and green. Any rust or other major issues?
  2. I remember from about age 6-9 or so changing the TV channel to UHF channel 59 Pittsburgh to watch old Star Trek and Twilight Zone reruns.. Another thing I wonder, like the fax, is the pager...do they sell pagers anymore..with cell phones, I don't see the point of pagers.
  3. Was announced that it was down to 8.9% for AZ w/ this data. Don't know how accurate that is, though. I've heard from headhunters it's still about 4% in my field.
  4. The wheels aren't bad...I don't care for the front lower fascia. I do like how they kept the Acadia's horizontal headlights and relatively small grille, rather than tack on an oversized Terrain style grille.
  5. A clip from 'Malcom in the Middle', I presume? The woman in the Tempo looks like the Mom from that show.
  6. Haven't had home dialup since '01. Had DSL for a year, then cable internet since '02. Other things of the past I remember... Remember the sound of a VHS player rewinding a tape? Been over 10 years since I've regularly watched VHS tapes. Or the dialing (and ring) sounds of a rotary dial phone? Probably 30+ years on that one..I remember 'em. Or a 'party line'? Remember those from rural Ohio, probably 30 years ago again. Or TVs w/ dials for UHF and VHF---channels under 13 and those over 13? Print newspapers. Haven't subscribed to one since '01. About the only time I ever buy one is at the airport if I can't get decent wireless. I read the news from a wide range of internet sources, don't really need a print paper..
  7. That Toro is pretty cool..lots of potential. The V6 in the Jeep isn't that outrageous, given the long-ago history of the Buick V6...
  8. Steel State of Mind, pretty cool..a Pittsburgh version of Empire State of Mind. Steel State of Mind My mind is wandering tonight...PGH dreaming on a PHX night.
  9. Gong-Sigur Ros
  10. Nothing wrong with that. That's what I want in my next car. RWD, preferably V8. Day in day out, I want the features, safety, and reliability of modern, late model vehicle..don't want to deal with the issues of an old car...whether it's the 50 mile daily commute or a 500-2000 mile road trip. My '87 Mustang is fun as an occasional weekend drive, but I haven't used it as a daily driver in almost 10 years.
  11. Maybe in some markets they can do a 'Pokemon' edition..it kind of looks like some sort of small angry creature.
  12. Cute..the cartoon compresses the G8 so it looks to be the size of a G5.
  13. Oh yeah! Some of my favorite childhood TV memories involve watching Hawaii Five-0, Police Story, Starsky and Hutch, Rockford Files, Streets of San Francisco w/ my Dad...love those big late '60s and '70s Fords and Mercs...and those are the kind of cars my folks drove..Cougars, Marquis, Lincolns, etc. There is a goregous Royal Maroon '69 Marquis convertible here in NoCenPho that I see occasionally..got to be a pretty rare car. Love the lower-longer-wider styling.
  14. Saw a white Chrysler 300C Touring this morning...they look good as a wagon.
  15. Cool... I saw a 2dr Yukon in traffic yesterday, haven't seen one of those in a while. Didn't have barn doors. Was a 2 tone gold and bronze.
  16. I've done it a couple of times in the past..worked for a Canadian-owned company and twice worked for Israeli-owned companies (the Canada-based company was bought by an Israeli-based company then sold to a Fortune 500 US company in the 5 years I was there).. As long as the benefits, salary, etc are good, the work is compelling, and the money ends up in my checking account, it's fine with me..
  17. Sweet... I remember the delays and public rollout back in '07 when I was working for a Boeing subsidiary. Been following the development of this one for years.
  18. Ya, people put port holes/speed holes on everything around here also...often coupled w/ bling wheels.
  19. Ugh. With Hertz, I always get a Ford product except for the time they were out of Mustang convertibles at LAX and I got a Nissan 350Z.
  20. Heh-heh...I go to the airport twice a week here in Phoenix, so I see black Town Cars all the time..limo services. I wouldn't mind having one for my daily driver, actually.
  21. Probably a local Long Island conspiracy outsiders are not supposed to know anything about.
  22. Ya...this summer had only 3 months in a row where the electric bill was over $400..
  23. I've seen oddness w/ edit occasionally... where I have to hit edit a couple times to get it to take, and where it behaves like reply instead. Maybe it a Chrome bug...not sure. Overall, things have worked fine for me w/ IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
  24. It's one of those things that is just the way it is. Maybe because most houses built here don't have basements (concrete slab foundation). Maybe it's a gravity thing.
  25. Maybe someone used their BBQ grill to close to the side of the house to melt the vinyl siding..
