Chevrolet Caprice Police Car
Maybe they assume the masses will just think it's an Impala from Avis.

Chevrolet Caprice Police Car

2010 Subaru Outback at the Georgian College Autoshow
I saw a 2010 Outback parked outside my office yesterday. They look huge compared to the original Outback from the '90s. White w/ gray trim. The new face has a very strong Toyota/Lexus vibe to it.. The rear of the Legacy sedan reminds me of the Sonata.

So...
Cool... Not automotive, but I've received a free ticket to the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January in Vegas... I think I'm going to go, supposed to be quite the event.

Your winter checklist?
The time of the year when you don't need air conditioning 24/7. It's convertible season here.

Your winter checklist?
Don't forget to replace the blinker fluid before winter also.

September 2009 Sales - General Motors - 156,673
The thing I observed living in a very conservative Republican area (Colorado Springs) was that American trucks were very popular, yet in cars, it was Toyota and (to a lesser degree Honda and Nissan) that dominated, and SUVs (a huge market segment in Colorado) were fairly evenly split between domestics and imports.. and that was in '97-02.

And as I know from 13 years in the West (Colorado and Arizona), Toyota does extremely well in parts of the West... Rob

October Car Spotters
First '10 SRXes on the road...saw a dark blue one at the Caddy dealer a few weeks ago...saw two black ones on the freeway this afternoon..interesting looking from behind. At Target this afternoon I saw a restored '31 Ford Model A convertible, a body style I hadn't seen before---with a backseat...looked like a Tudor from the beltline down. Dark blue, ivory colored wire wheels, ivory top, separate trunk behind the body.

October Car Spotters
This morning on the way to work--the first '09 ZR-1 I've seen in the wild. In blue. Looks incredible on the road. I saw the gray showcar at Barrett-Jackson in '08. Also, a very clean early 4th gen Camaro convertible, top down at 6am, a sharp custom indigo blue paint job w/ tasteful large chrome wheels...

September Car Spotting Thread
I saw a dark gray Equinox on the freeway yesterday, bringing to 2 the # I've seen since they've been out, and the first one I saw about a month and a 1/2 ago. They look good.

GM - Saturn - Penske deal is DEAD!
Yeah...the hideously styled, cheap and nasty interior and wierd exterior styling didn't help the Ion. The Astra was a superior car, but too late.

Inside the 2010 Camaro SS
Or, how about in an alternate future, GM has downsized their line--the Spark is the Aveo, the NG Aveo is badged Malibu and the 2nd gen Cruze is badged Impala, all FWD, 4cyl automatics. And the Colorado has been rebadged as the Silverado... Rob

Crazy question: Do you listen to your engine with the window down?
Ya, old AMC engine dating back to the 60s I think. It sounds like a diesel tractor at idle..nothing exciting to hear.

Inside the 2010 Camaro SS
Don't know, don't care..I'm not a drag racer, more interested in all around performance (i.e. handling, braking, steering, etc. ) BMW's 330d seems quite performant for what it is..

GM - Saturn - Penske deal is DEAD!
Wow... and isn't the HUMMER sale in trouble also?

Crazy question: Do you listen to your engine with the window down?
My 4.0L 6 in my Jeep sounds like a diesel at idle. I've enjoyed the exhaust note of my Mustangs in the past, though...driving w/ windows down through tunnels, etc. The best example of this phenomenon I've experienced was listening to a Ferrari F360 Modena going down the street past the LaScala opera house in Milano..the sound of the car bouncing off the stone walls in was incredible...
