  1. True..w/ my cars, I never change the position of the wheel...I could understand if two or more people shared a car, then an adjustable wheel w/ memory settings for it, the mirrors, the seats would be a nice convenience. But with a typical power seat, I can find a comfortable position, so I'm not sure why I would want to telescope the wheel..
  2. Cool..will have to watch for that..
  3. I saw a white '60-61 Falcon today..
  4. Ooh..haven't listened to those guys in ages..
  5. True...if it were RWD it would have some desirability and legitimacy...otherwise, it's just another decent Avis appliance to me.
  6. Maybe 7 Europeans..they are generally smaller than bloated Americans..
  7. Interesting..never had a telescoping wheel....I've had normal tilt wheels and as long the seat adjusts up/down/back/forward/etc I don't see how useful a telescoping wheel would be.
  8. I wouldn't think changing a bunch plastic crap like a fascia, headlights, & grille would require retesting if the underlying structure is unchanged...
  9. Yes..it's like they are stuck in 1992 or so..
  10. That's just marketing talk, though..they will never realistically compete with Lexus w/ pushrod V6s and 4spd automatics.
  11. I've read about an aftermarket product for parents so they get a call or notification if their kids go above a certain speed if their car is so equipped..
  12. The driver's door has a big dent down low where it sideswiped a police car early in the chase...
  13. One of the reporters said they switched to a 10 sec delay..probably for that reason.
  14. Yep..probably a different grille, badging, and different bumpers for NA style license plates will be the noticable changes...
  15. Stopped on the side of an overpass now...4 cop cars behind. In custody now.. under control. Checking the vehicle..
  16. The union is in a quixotic battle against it's own obsolescence, I'm afraid..
  17. Right front tire blown out now...driving on the rim
  18. The Lucerne replacement is still 2 years or more away..the idea of GM having a car in 2010 with a pushrod 6 and a 4spd automatic is mind-blowing.
  19. There's a live police chase on an OC freeway now on CNN, white 2007 Yukon..blasting along passing everything, in and out of HOV lanes.. on the SB 405...up to 105 mph. Stolen apparently. Female driver. Britney making a run? Apparently been all over the place for over an hour--I-5, 605, 57, etc.. They are saying stolen rental from Anaheim. OnStar is getting several name checks...apparently, the rental agency called OnStar and OnStar called the police. The reporters asked if OnStar can remotely disable the car... Now on I-5 near Dana Point..must be making a run for Mexico. Now the talking heads are joking about the gas mileage and that it had a full tank, but at these speeds it will run out soon Talking about ONStar's advantage again. Now in San Diego county... I wonder if this will end at the Mexican border checkpoint.
  20. Though the Lucerne is actually listed at under 3800 lbs, so who knows. I wonder if using a modern drivetrain combo (3.6 w/ DI, 6sp auto) instead of the ancient stuff (pushrod V6, 4spd auto) would result in better mileage...
  21. Hmmm...the changes must be pretty subtle..I can't really see any difference from the current model.
  22. I drove a Vectra diesel a few years ago in northern Italy, it seemed quite nice... better than the US FWD GMs I've driven from Avis here in the States...
  23. I' m looking forward to seeing how the rear of the hatch looks...will there be a wagon also?
  24. Reminds me of something bizzaro from Sbarro.
  25. No...FWD would be wrong for a future Cadillac...leave FWD to Buick and SAAB.
