Here is a rather weirdly optioned 1983 Cadillac Cimarron 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual, AM-Radio no cassette, leather interior, remarkably preserved..... and about $5,300 overpriced. http://fw.to/6rfxvqd

GM News: Meet The Next-Generation GM EcoTec Engine Family
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
I meant that it might not work out as well in the smaller displacements you proposed. 2.0T sized pistons running in a smaller 3 cylinder.- 14 replies

but those configurations may not have met other requirements for refinement. the latest 2.0t is a model of smoothness that I really enjoy.- 14 replies

Input on new tires for my '08 Pontiac G6
Drew Dowdell replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
GMTruckguy, have you ever gone to R.W. Tire in Bordentown. My family used them for years and always felt like we got treated fairly there. That's where I always bought tires and other maintenance for my first cars when I lived in Hamilton. -
Infiniti News: Rumorpile: Infiniti's 700 Horsepower Flagship
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Infiniti
I doubt Infinit wants to get into the taxi cab market to compete with the S-Class... after all, Nissan already sells the NV200. -

Infiniti News: Rumorpile: Infiniti's 700 Horsepower Flagship

A 3.0tt with 550hp? A 3.7tt with 700? Seems high. -
it just doesn't turn your crank?

Buckle up! Edit: One thing I can point out.... in "normal" mode, you will experience what will feel like turbo lag on a sharp stab of the accelerator. It isn't turbo lag, it is the transmission trying to be frugal while you're trying to have fun. Sport mode removes this inconvenience... and then you really do need to buckle up.

Probably can be over-built relatively easily.

All of the Passats I've driven have felt vault solid.... the only time I was ever disappointed with one was when the 2.5 had taken up residence under the hood like a rabid raccoon.

Asian style chicken noodle soup with little shrimps also hidden in there...... I don't eat shellfish.

GM has the 410hp Twin-Turbo V6 available in the V-Sport model.... it's got a lot of spank. Pretty much negates the need for a V8 unless you are going for V-Series type extremes.

And the naming convention no longer makes sense either. CTS the S stood for "sedan" until the CTS Coupe and CTS Wagon came out, but CTC and CTW don't roll off the tongue well. Now there is an ATS Coupe coming out.

I just want to do it right since I only intend to do it once. Since we're funding the whole thing ourselves, I need to put money away for it.

Heh. Thank you, but you're about 3 years too late. The whole thing was a mistake on Albert's part. He accidentally deleted me from his Facebook friends list and when he re-added me we had to re-establish that part of our profiles as well. To those of you wondering... Albert and I are engaged...and have been for some time.

I think adults would buy an AWD Camaro if they live in an area where AWD is an advantage for year-round driving. For many people who need a year-round car, not having AWD available in a RWD car means the car gets crossed off the list.
-
That's why I suggested that at 80k units, a 30% take rate would put it over 100k... some of those would be sales to people who would have bought anyway, but I think you would have a large jump in sales in the northern states.
-
All of this chafe at the idea of adding an option to the camaro that would broaden its appeal without watering down the core of the car at all. Are you *that* afraid of change?
-
Even a 30% take rate in awd could push camaro sales to over 100k units a year from the 80k they are selling now.
-
Those that fail to evolve in a changing market, die. The Camaro already died once, want to see it happen again? The Eclipse died because it gained weight, lost AWD and the excellent 2.0t.
