  1. Shhh...CMG and Dodgefan will accuse you of being biased and ignorant, since Chrysler is the greatest company in the world and they have piles upon piles of money that they've made from selling the greatest vehicles (wheeled or otherwise) this solar system has ever seen.
  2. sober
  3. The Genesis is impressive on paper, if it were German, English, American or even Japanese, people would be praising its specs. But its Korean, the newest whipping boy for enthusiasts, so on sites like C&G it is going to be hammered. It could be more lively in the styling department, but styling isn't what got Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen or Mercedes where they are no in the U.S. and Hyundai is still trying to gain footing in a way.
  4. DMV
  5. And GM fans making fun of Toyota vehicle operations (not the whole company) losing money is like a Buffalo Bills fan making fun of the Patriots for losing the Super Bowl.
  6. What size? When my old L200 needed tires, I got some Fuzions rediculously cheap. I dont recall the exact size, but they were 15 inchers, a set of 4 wound up being something like $240 after taxes and disposal. Firestone generally has the lowest prices for tires around here. I needed a new one for the wagon, their cheapest was about $20 less than everyone else. Link to Firestone, you can get a quote easily, assuming you have one nearby. *Oh, and the Fuzions were fine for cheap tires. They weren't the quietest and didn't have spectacular wet grip, but they did the job.
  7. Did Chrysler unveil their corporate casket choice? Or their headstone design?
  8. '69 Skylark I had no idea he was selling it, I see it around town all the time. The ad isn't a lie, it is a daily driver in every sense, neither rain nor sleet nor the roads being a sheet of ice prevents this car from hitting the road.

    Obesity tax?

There are businesses that dont exist to maximize profit?
  10. Its a good thing GM is in such a great financial situation, they can really use this to take advantages of the booming worldwide economy.
  11. Difference is that Toyota is only trying to get people to buy cars. GM is trying to get people to buy cars and get taxpayer money to keep the company afloat. It sends a bad sign to potential investors (American taxpayers) if the only advertising angle you can take is "the deal" because focusing on "the deal" makes people think of cheap.

    Obesity tax?

BMI is retarded, body fat is a much better way to gauge weight. Just like cigarette taxes, its a way to make people think twice before doing something unhealthy. And in case you haven't notices, Americans are DUMB which is why expecting parents to be responsible for the health of their children wont work. Gee, my grandmother was a little hefty, so was my mother, that means its ok that I'm 100 pounds overweight and my body fat is 45% but 7 year old little Timmy shouldn't suffer, so we'll just let him get that Big Mac with large fries and a large Coke, after all he,'s a growing boy.

    Obesity tax?

People play the "genetics" card on obesity way too much. Obesity rates have been skyrocketing for the last decade or two, so unless some sort of weird natural selection is taking place wherein naturally thin people are unable to reproduce, its a completely bogus argument.
  14. Neither car had issues in the light snow/ice we've had this week.

    Obesity tax?

Linkypoo Discuss. Personally, I like the measure and think we'll see it expand to more states. If parents are going to let their kids get fat, might as well make them pay. I wouldn't even complain if it were to effect energy drinks or coffee-based drinks, which I drink more often than soda.
  16. '55 Bel Air I'd love to have his, if anyone has some cash to spare and wants to get me a Christmas present. '72 El Camino
  17. Wow, weird to see a car commercial without "RED TAG EVENT!!!!" being the focus.
  18. I've been desensitizing people to it for the last couple of months.
  19. Its gotten so overused that I avoid saying it unless I'm in the presence of one particular person I went to school with. He and I have a little competition to see who can say it when it makes the least sense. We do the same thing with, "If you know what I mean."
  20. Some more relationship advice. If your significant other is in the middle of eating a giant burrito when her mother calls, dont answer the phone and say, "I'm sorry, her mouth is full right now" then pause just long enough and say, "Yeah, swallow it." I'm totally in the doghouse right now, but it was totally worth it.
  21. A local junkyard has a wrecked 1988 Cadillac Brougham with a supposedly good 307 for $375. The engine in my LeSabre runs fantastically for what it is. It burns/leaks oil and has a rod knock, but it keeps going and going and going. Someday, its going to quit going, I've accepted that. But if I can grab essentially the same engine, tear it down, make sure everything is copacetic, and reassemble it, how difficult would it be to yank the old motor and drop the "new" one? I'm most worried about transmission (THM200-4R, shouldn't be a problem) and emissions devices. We dont have smog testing in this part of the state, so would bypassing all that crap be an option? This is something I happened across today and likely wont happen until Spring due to money/time/weather. My biggest concern is how long will it take to get it done, if we dont get a 3rd car, the LeSabre will still be my daily driver.
  22. The Elantra looks like it was designed by humans, the Cobalt looks like it was designed by Avis.
  23. I find it funny that you refer to the bailout money as illegal since it was signed into law, and there is this funny thing about things signed into law being legal.
  24. She called to tell me she had a flat so she'd be home late, I offered to come change it, she declined. Works for me, I get bonus point for offering.
  25. Lets say your significant other calls you and says she's about 40 miles away with a flat tire. Do you: A) Tell her to hold tight, hop in the car and go change it for her B) Tell her to change it herself C) Remind her about Roadside Assistance
