  1. BTW, things like this are extremely immature.

    Garage sales

My neighbor is selling a boat.....I resisted.

    Garage sales

According to the weekend section of the paper, not much. Realistically, there are lakes and parks nerby, not to mention some fun bike trails. Hell, self vasectomy is a better idea than driving around, stopping in the middle of the road to rubberneck. Assholes.

    Garage sales

Ugggg....city-wide garage sale is today. They're for morons to sell worthless $h! to other morons.
  5. I get creepy Nissan vibes, so I'm sure 68 will enjoy driving one of these in 20 years.
  6. Holy crap, that just seems appropriate. As for the rest of the list, meh, Biden's Vette is the only one that really interests me. Cant say this new info effects my political views. Not really surprised at the number of hybrids.

    Death of the V8?

Gas is at an all time high, not going down anytime soon. You can get very good every day performance out of a V6 with very good gas mileage, you can also get pretty good every day performance out of a 4cyl that will get far, far better mileage than a V8. So for the average consumer, the V8 is dead. For the enthusiast, it'll live, for everyone else, they're excess that becomes more of a burden every day. I'll take the 27mpg in the City that I get with the Fusion over the 19 I would get with a V8.
  8. Chris needs a Hummer, if you catch my drift. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. But it suits the stereotype of your orientation so well.
  10. If you keep it light on the options (you'd probably have to special order to get a stripper model) you can get a new Cooper S for under $25k. Just ask yourself if you really want to get another vehicle, and if so, what purpose would it have? If you want a 365 car, go with the Mini, more practical day to day, if you want a weekender, go for the Z4. Or split the difference and get a Cooper S vert.
  11. Ok, so to make a long story short, I have a friend who works for his dad who runs a lumber mill. They need a forklift (for some reason beyond my comprehension) and my friend mentioned something to me about it. We then got into a very long, intense conversation about playing chicken on heavy machinery. Anyways, I came across this warning sticker on Crown's website. Avoid being crushed, good advice even when you're not talking about a forklift.
  12. Thats a disturbing and rather tasteless article. Doesn't make me any less pro-choice.
  13. Cooper S, then put me in your will...then wait for natural causes (or a lead pipe) to finish you off. I get the car I want for nothing out of pocket. Win-win! I know where you can get a slightly damaged Solstice. You may even be able to get some money back by recycling all of the empty beer bottles sitting in the passenger seat. But seriously, Z4, I didn't like them when they came out (I still love the Z3) but they have grown on me. The coupe is hot too, but probably pricier than you want to go.
  14. I dont think GM gives a state-by-state breakdown of sales. You really cant gauge overall sales of a car from personal observation because its such a limited sample. Hell, if I go by personal observation, I'd think that the Sonata outsells the Camry (which I rarely see) and the Tundra outsells the Silverado 5-1 and the Sierra 100-1.
  15. Stupidity leads to firecrackers in a mailbox. Ignorance leads to airplanes flying into buildings. I'll take stupid people over ignorance anyday. Stupidity is far less stubborn.
  16. Just like RWD and ignorance.
  17. You can if you want to keep it looking good. Black cars are a bitch to keep clean, not to mention swirl marks if you do any waxing. Red is also tough in that respect. If I were buying an Outlook, I'd go with Cocoa or Ocean Mist.
  18. I've actually become oddly attracted to the Compass (though I prefer the looks of the Patriot) but I really dont like the effects package.
  19. I've only seen two of those in my life, one was on a used car lot on the north (read: bad) side of town.Just a few minutes ago I saw a blinged out Hummer H2 in an elementary school parking lot. The car was stopped but the rim were indeed still spinnin.
  20. A noteworthy non-sighting, I haven't seen one new Altima on the road.
  21. I bet Jim Dollinger will be standing outside holding a sign that reads: The End is Near
  22. I was scanning the radio earlier and came across a classic rock station playing....wait for it....wait for it....Black Hole Sun, by Soundgarden, released in 1994, when I was 10.
  23. The more I think about this, the more it bothers me. 68 and I are in similar situation, having a young child who, most likely, rides in the back seat. I would NEVER choose vanity over safety in a car for exactly that reason. The "Oh, it was fate" or "just my time to go" argument is just a cheap way of removing accountability from oneself. There are lots of calculated risks in life, sure, but I would rather play it safe when it comes to the potential of my son being hurt in a crash because the side impact protection met the bare-minimum of government standards.
  24. You're going to be the only person who will consider the Camaro ugly because of the b-pillar, which is a design trait it will have in common with your Buick and your elevently-threve Nissans.
