Oh No Blackviper, Looks like Gas Will Be 4 Bucks A Gallon
An even better choice if you invest in a $40 Huffy and ride to work. I wish I could ride my bike back and forth to work, but the 17 miles each way with no real bike paths make it a bad idea. I'd rather not get hit by a car, that seems like it would suck.

A few of the Auction cars at Carlisle

What is that car????
I see two different green SVXs every day. They're so cool, I want one.

My Second Rant... About tree-huggers...
I cannot think of one good thing Bush has done. The tax cuts haven't done $h! for me, college keeps getting more expensive and it seems financial aid is becoming more scarce. When the ice storm hit back in January, my area was declared a disaster area but there was no help from any level of government. That ice storm, by the way, could very well have been a manifestation of global warming. Bull$h!? Could be, but until some science comes out to validate the bull$h! theory I'll continue to see global warming as a real problem.

We're finally getting back into the 70's after a couple of weeks of 30's-40's with some rain.

2008 Presidential Election - NOT political, please
I like Obama, I've donated for Obama, I'm planning on doing everything I can for the Obama campaign when we get closer to primary time. That said, I have a feeling the Democratic candidate will end up being Edwards with one of the two non-conventional (Clinton or Obama) candidates as a running mate and I would have no problem voting for that ticket in the general election. November 2008 is a long way away, but I really dont see how any Republican can win, given the political climate.

Change of Mind!!!!
For the record, I actually kind of want the '82 Civic thats second down in my list above.

-
Change of Mind!!!!
No matter the result of the voting there is going to be another "What should I buy?" thread from AmRev in a week or two, just like BV did back in the day. My advice? Listen to YJ's advice, get something that will get you around reliably first then worry about pimping ze auto.

Your favorite LAMBDA features
How often does the average person need to seat 8 people? I'd rather have something smaller that seats 5 and fits in the garage better.

Land of the Free
On the subject of language, English isn't an easy language for native Spanish speakers to pick up, hell, a lot of people born in this country cannot speak the language properly.

Sleepness Nights
Between school, work, being a parent and a special little side project, I've been pulling 18-20 hour days for the last 2 weeks.

April Fool's CAR SPOTTING
A rusty, decrepit Subaru Brat that I feel oddly compelled to buy.

Narrowed down the possible third member of the fleet
Hey Fly, I came across an '02 Regal GS with 46k miles on it at a dealership the other say, they're asking about $11,500. The only problem I saw with it was the uber-tacky aftermarket cell phone. Its grey with grey leather and it nice and supercharged. Let me know if you want more info.

NYIAS: Chevy Trax, Beat and Groove
How is the xA B segment while the xB isn't? Anyways, I agree that any one of these would sell pretty well although I would like to know how they compare to the Aveo size-wise. If they're significantly smaller (Mini-like length, some 20inches shorter than the Aveo) and less expensive, then it'll be ok. If they're withing half a foot of the Aveo and close in price then I have to wonder if they're just being redundantly redundant.

GM - I want a Zafira
Meh.....did a little checking around and it look like it would be far more expensive than its really worth. I can just hope they decide to import the Mini D for a smaller premium than the $7k it would cost to bring one over. Although it would be cool to have a new RHD Mini.

GM - I want a Zafira
I talked to my mom this morning (she's living in England for about another year and a half) and I mentioned that I was trying to get a Mini but would prefer the diesel. She said that when she comes back if I can get the cash together, she'll trade her Opel Corsa instead of selling it to help me buy a Mini D over there and get it imported. A co-worker of hers over there has one and says it gets great mileage. So now I'm going to have to look into how hard it will be to get it imported.

Looking for a new car in about 6-12 months...
I voted Lucerne, but agree you should look at the Milan, which may be a little on the small side. I would recommend the MKZ, but its a bit pricier than you're talking, although it is the best of the FuLanZ trio.

WHIPLASH TESTING
The Galant got the worst score, reason 2,461,787 to not buy one. Reason #1? Its a Mitsubishi.

NYIAS: 2009 Ford Flex
The Aura was shown long before it was on lots and its doing ok. I do think they released the Camaro way too early since its not going to be on the roads for a long-ass time, but I think the Flex will be fine, though I do wish they'd get it out sooner.

US Employers Ramp up Hiring in March, Unemployment at 5-Year Low
I wish the unemployment rate was actually the number of people who qualify for gainful employment but are not gainfully employed instead of the percentage of people who are receiving unemployment benefits.
