  1. I hope you gave him a little talking too. Maybe he still has nightmares about a k car, Chevette or Escort he had.
  2. Congrats! I know its been a long time coming but now you can finally enjoy it.
  3. Desperate Housewives, House, Brothers and Sisters and CSI (Vegas) are the only shows I try to watch on a regular basis. Considering what I pay I find there's not much on.I like watching old stuff just for the cars. Have been watching Hart to Hart a lot recently. The Flintstones are back on again on the kids station every night at 8:00 so I can't miss them.
  4. CARS is such a cool movie. The announcer at the beginning describing the race is named Bob Cutlass. You have to watch the special features section too as the director talks about when he was a kid his father worked at a Chevy dealership and that's what got him interested in cars.
  5. Like Jack Smith said all the way back in 1992 at a shareholders meeting... "We must get profitable, satisfy consumers with better products and GROW the business in future years." The General isn't a spent force yet in the auto industy.
  6. WTF? That is the most hideous front end I've ever seen. The thing looks like a Nissan X Trail or a larger Escape from the side and the interior is brutal.
  7. He should of finished with "in case of an emergency landing bend down and put your head between your legs so you can kiss your ass goodbye".
  8. Came across this cool site with all kinds of old ads as far back as the 20's. Here's a section on GM. http://oldcarandtruckads.com/GeneralMotors/
  9. The real thing from GM Fastlane blog:http://www.fastlane.gmblogs.com/
  10. That's a really cool picture. I love old photos like that.
  11. Not sure if they have stopped building them yet, I think we would have heard about the last one rolling down the line.
  12. Impala has to stay FWD. They know they'll never sell 300K + of a RWD car.The next one needs to be a bit bigger to distance itself from the Malibu and ride on a more modern platform than the W body. With Buick and Pontiac pretty much out of the rental and fleet business (except for G6) Chevy needs a solid fleet car to sell to the goverment and sales reps of the world. If Malibu can take sales from competitors on the retail side and do well with the under 50 crowd a new Impala can be the fleet queen and appeal to the older crowd. It would be a lot easier to just import a Chevy version of Zeta for for the performance crowd.
  13. On the info page they had it listed as a Grand Am Knightrider. Too bad the auction ended early I wanted to put in a bid so I could tell my kids I tried to buy the Knight Rider car.
  14. GM did good taking 4 of 12 catagories. I was disappointed the Malibu didn't win though. My local newspaper had been comparing the top 3 cars in each segment from these tests before the results were released and Graham Fletcher (TSN Motoring and Toronto Star) picked the Malibu as the best and said the malibu takes a back seat to nobody so I automatically assumed the Malibu had won that class, it was a misleading article.
  15. This doesn't make sense. I thought because it came out as an 07 it wasn't eligable to be 08 Truck of the year. I guess the Silverado couldn't win 2 years in a row. :AH-HA_wink:
