  1. Last saturday I woke up to spray paint on my back yard fence and the pricks put my pool filter on backwash so the pool was practically empty. Do you know how irratating it is when its 90 degrees out but you can't swim cause the pool has no freakin water ! At least I noticed and didn't do a Fred Flintstone and dive in and hit my head on the bottom.
  2. I don't have any links but I like these too, we had a 1976 . There was a mint one on Ebay about a year ago.
  3. I've been having fun with the car so far this summer going to some of the local old car gatherings around town. It stalled on me last Monday night and I had to get it towed home. It was the distributor module. I was back in business for a car show last weekend in upstate New York and that was fun since the car came in 2nd place for 1970's unrestored. As soon as I get my camera back I will have pics.
  4. That's late. I remember seeing a few Aura's on the road last year in late August.
  5. Another brutal month. There's no way to sugar coat this the numbers are just plain ugly. The only thing they can sell is the Impala everything else is hopeless.
  6. Hey, I hope your enjoying your trip. I only mailed the Olds brochure to you yesterday so you should have it when you get back.
  7. I wash once a week and sometimes more since my neighbors tree covers most of my driveway and there's a family of birds that like to crap on my car so I have to get that off as soon as I see it. I vacuum every few weeks, there's nothing I hate more than a messy interior and if its raining or people have dirty/wet shoes then the mats have to be flipped over and those passengers are told to keep their feet on the mats and not to step on the carpeting. My wife thinks I have brain damage and she's probably right. For the body I use mothers wax 3 times a year.
  8. I'm looking out at my neighbors as I type this, an 85 and its very rusty. I haven't noticed newer Caravans with rust issues but now I'm going to look for it. I know all the early 90's models rusted below the back window on the liftgate.
  9. I'm sure the Ridgline is a great vehicle and is a good choice for some people its just the looks that ruin it for me, I think it looks hideous. I would take a Tundra over it.
  10. Nice pics. I've never been to the all GM show . Can anyone try out the cars like you did or do you have to "Know" someone?
  11. I always look at where the product was made before I buy it so I can buy American or Canadian if possible but its getting harder to find things made here. I recently needed a new toaster and I looked in 4-5 different stores and all of them were made in china.
  12. Last week I saw an early 80's Aries K car in decent shape, 86 Grand AM, and two cars you've probably never seen south of the border, one was an 85 Hyundai Pony and a 85-86 Hyundai Stellar this morning.
  13. The fastest I've ever driven is probably around 100-105 in a couple different cars. The fastest I went as a passenger was around 115-118 in an 89 Cavalier Z24 with a 2.8. Those little cars could move compared to a lot of cars in those days.
  14. http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/gm/index.asp I'm guessing there will be a lot more cars than there is at spring Carlisle but a lot less parts vendors?
  15. Have never been to the all GM show, is it better than spring or fall Carlisle?
  16. I disagree and think the fact that is/looks smaller will be a selling point since people want smaller these days.It does look a lot like the Korean models and I think it well appeal to women buyers. the interior is excellent in person but I too hate those fender vents.
  17. Need something to do this weekend? Here's a few projects
  18. For the Trans Am lovers, blue one still had the plastic on the seats, less than 5k miles, asking 32K
  19. Nice, that wagon reminded me of a Buick wagon at Carlisle
  20. I agree. If you live in the city public transit is good but not so good if your in the burbs.
  21. I don't think people want to use transit over their cars. People nowadays, myself included, want things pronto and they want the freedom that comes with having their own car. Who the hell wants to stand around for 5 or 10 minutes waiting for a bus? When I hear politicians saying they won't build new highways because they will only fill up then I think okay then stop building more houses etc in the suburbs. Its a lose- lose situation. At least in Toronto you actually have decent highways. You should see the cow paths we drive on in Montreal.
